2. Cheers, No, I use Maya
3. Cheers mate - rendered in Mental Ray... not quite right, need to integrate it better
4. First time designing and rendering a car - still some things to change
5. Well, I've encouraged the seller to put it up on here as I don't think I'll get the chance to go see it. Hopefully someone will give it a good home.

Nice work guys, I also work in VFX, but mostly character work... creatures and what not Here's my blog http://docosart.blogspot.com/
7. Ah you guys are very skeptical! I guess that's a good thing. He has said the car was a hobby for him, so it's quite likely he's spent a great deal on money on it, and circumstance is forcing a quick sale. I've seen GTR's on the market for 6 months or more, they simply aren't fetching big $$ regardless of what's been done to them. I like the interior! I probably would have done it in black myself, but I think it looks quite good... each to his own though. He has sent through a few more photos, not great quality, but here's the engine bay.
8. Hi mate, just curious, and someone else may be able to clarify this, but it appears to have an earlier model front bumper bar? I think the '93 had the two extra air intakes, I could be wrong though. Also, how many k's did the replacement engine have? Has it had a 100,000km service and timing belt change? Cheers.
9. Still waiting for more photos. Car is unregistered since Jan 1st
10. Looks good mate, and well priced by comparison to others around. Its a buyers market right now, supply outweighs demand. Good luck with it.
11. Ive asked for more photos
12. I don't even know what that is.
13. Haha, yeah I thought it was a bit ironic that its sitting out in the rain, I'm assuming he just put it out there to take photos, and it's in QLD so hard to avoid rain lately
14. Yes, true. He says he has all receipts though, so I'll wait to hear from him.
15. Fair enough, I realise it's easy to hide... I'm just being super picky
16. This looks interesting. I've emailed the seller to get more info, but sounds the goods. I like that he says its restored, rather than modified... all in the wording! Are any of you familiar with this car by any chance? http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=9920140&__Qpb=true&Cr=2&__Ns=pCar_Odometer_Single|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0&keywords=&YearToShort=1664&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294963846%204294963593%204294795819%204294931739%201664%20%20741&SearchAction=N&silo=1011&seot=1&MileageFrom=741&__Nne=15&__No=0&trecs=30&__sid=127B64499575
17. Pretty sure I read on this site that paint missing off the plenum chamber is a sign of a hard driven engine

18. That's a nice looking car! shame it's white though.
19. A cheap one here... looks like most of the paint is missing off the plenum chamber? http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=9562796&ref=Item&__Ns=pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15
20. Hi guys, been a while since I've posted, but I'm still lurking about. Ive been keeping an eye out, browsing classifieds etc, but still haven't decided to buy anything. I have however noticed huge discrepancies in pricing on what seem like fairly similar cars, particularly with V-Specs. Prices are all over the place. Here's two examples, one has a few mods, but the other, the cheaper one is more original. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=9521132&ref=Item&__Ns=pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15 This one looks cleaner, but is $10K less? Surely the one above isn't 10K better? http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=8802208&ref=RecentItem&__Ns=pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15 These are just two examples, I've found a number, the same goes for r33's but not really looking for one of those...
21. The car is rough anyway, it leaks and has damage underneath.
22. Sorry if its a repost You can tell Skaife still has a soft spot for his old car http://www.carsales.com.au/news/2009/sport...-brothers-15327
23. No mate, not off them, I think they're awesome, the R32 GT-R is a modern classic, but I've learned finding one is going to take longer than a week and I really didn't know what to look for when I began. I'm in no rush, so I'll keep an eye on this forum and on the used car websites. I haven't ruled out an R34 either but I'd need to save for a good while longer... A gooood while longer. The one I drove today is the first one I've driven, it was completely stock, and without doubt the fastest car I've personally ever driven, so I cant imagine what a modded one would feel like!
24. Ha, ok mate, good to know, because I often like to take on GT-Rs in my shitty Honda Civic
25. If it's the episode I'm thinking of, it was Hammond. It was the episode where they all bought crappy rear wheel drive cars and took them to the track, they had to compete with all the other drivers in their much better cars. Hammond jokingly said this to a GTR driver to try and psyche him out... there were a bunch of cuts to all three of them saying stupid things to other drivers to try and put them off. I watched a very old clip on youtube the other day with Clarkson saying the r32 GTR would beat an f355 Ferrari in competition QUOTE(Munkvy)The guy on top gear saying that R32 GTRs brakes sometimes explode!
