From what I have been told stock ones are decent (and are an upgrade for quite a few cars - that are tracked)...and with the right pads and decent rotors they work a treat.... Also seeing how I dont exactly plan to track it (YET)....so to answer your question....I think its perfect for now Going to get some some suspension stuff upgraded next. -

Been watching Top Gear...a friend downloaded all of it (right from the first show) and I stole it off him......and I have got through a couple of seasons thus far......AND NOW TO THE IMPORTANT BIT..................just realized why the tyres the car had when I first bought it were worn out on the insides instead of evenly or on the outside etc etc......skylines are harder on the insides of their tyres...........thank you fat dude from Top Gear !! In other news............delay on my stopper....so will have to wait one more week -

Also changed the aircon / alternator / power steering belts to gates items.......as I had a squeak on cold starts (using the car less now that I have the red devil)...problem solved. Feedback on new braking system. Pedal feel is relatively the same as stock....the very slightest bit of play / spongyness and then bites. (soon to change with the new cyclinder stopper) Pads give off a LOT more dust then stock...but grip like a bitch and stopping power has improved by a more than substantial margin. The harder you press the better it bites and seems to get stronger and stronger...(love it) Slotted rotors look mean as.....however I think they are still bedding in along with the pads as I have the occasional screech / high pitch squeal which is most embarrassing at the lights. New braided lines are going on when we change the fluid and put in the stopper (sometime next week hopefully) -

Did some detailing of the "bunky".........................and then I bought some high temp paint for my exhaust piping. The front bar and half the bonnet has not yet been done in this picture...........it is surprising what a little bit of time, effort and average levels of detailing skill can achieve. I know this is a terrible picture and you probably cannot really tell any difference unless you look very carefully but a little bit of effort is all it took and man this thing is shining now !! Then moved on to my car again........... Tried to get the exhaust off....but when I realized that it was beyond me I decided to give it a shot and paint it on the car itself.......made sure I had newspaper ontop of it as I didnt want other bits to get sprayed too and sprayed the living hell out of it with degreaser first and just went in with the high temp black....could not be bothered with sanding down / prep and all that jazz...it cannot even be seen !! This is as high as I can get the car at the moment (without axle stands)...so had to make do. Came up pretty well I thought judging by the general lack of attention to detail and half arsed effort...going to let it idle for a while and then turn off tmrw.....and then take it for a short run to and from work so hopefully the paint will cure and wont peel....intercooler piping is still perfect so hopefully it lives up to its reputation and wont too. That is the weld mark from when "kermit" modified my exhaust so that it had less angle and didnt burn a hole through my rear bar. OH and that looks SOOO much better than the rest of the exhaust at the moment !! -

My attention has now been diverted to the engine bay...............and since I don't want to spend any big bucks at the moment.....I have been doing this................... Boring old plastic washer bottle............... After the plastic primer and first coat of paint.............. Made sure to leave a strip so that I can actually see how much water is in there...going to look like this !! haha Will post completed pics when it dries and I put it back on............ -

So this morning while I was going through some performance imports mags I came across this................................. And I wanted to do something similar too.............so I went to the shops and could not find a black sweatband so went to red dot and bought three pairs of black socks (will use the other two pairs for work)...and began to do some "art and craft"............ Result............ And on the car................ -

The useless git who did my last service can go to hell......to say the bolt was a pain to get off is an understatement.....sprayed the crap out of it with WD40 and used a 1/2 " drive breaker bar to get it off !!! But so far so good.....oil changed...new shiny black filter in....and presto....my first oil and filter change all by myself..and no mess (not much) haha (pats himself on the back) -
Even though I am posting this now (timing) it is NOT a dig at Thomas or anyone for that matter....but here goes...the whole aim of this thread as far as I see it is to "post up your 33" and if there really have to be comments they should be in the nature of questions maybe with regards to offset / source from where parts were obtained etc (if at all - because I think they should be PMs actually).... Just post up pics....keep your opinions to yourself if they are deragatory because everyones car is their pride and joy irrespective of how crap YOU think it is...if you think its nice however then you could praise them..because lets face it...praise always goes down well...but yeah more pics..less chatter... And the one thing I have learnt from owning and working on my car....you will always love what you do and feel proud...so the worst thing to do is to burst somebody's bubble by telling them you think its rubbish....it can be taken pretty seriously by the more "sensitive" type !! We would not have this forum if people all drove standard cars and made the same modifications. Chapter closed now hopefully... Moving on...........an old picture that I had as a desktop

Made myself a little "workstation".......................with some leftovers lying around. Cannot wait for this year to be over so that I can start spending some big ones on the car again...all these small scale projects just don't quite make the cut
