  1. best bet is a DIY fix. You can buy similar globes at dick smiths, re wire them into their holders and cover with a plastic globe cover.
  2. if u r a smoker or just like to have your window open, i wouldnt remove them. R33's are one of those cars where water just falls right in.. the sheilds help alot! also, i think they are all that purple colour.
  3. WHEN: 1pm (leaving by 2pm) WHERE: Mudgeeraba Shell (around exit 80 off freeway - its on your LHS if your coming south) From there we head to hinze damn, have a drink & piss. Then we go through the binna burra hill climb and back down, stop at the national park where those glow worm thingies are, then down to murwullumbah. Then you can either go the back way up to tweed and home , or to the bbq & pissup, or if everyone has had enough, we will just take the freeway from murwilumbah. Enough info? i tried to find a map but couldnt get anything with enough detail. Call me on 0413 144 121 if you need anything, running late on the day etc... Dave
  4. I think that a meeting around 1pm aiming to leave by 2pm would suit everyone. We did the same last time and did pretty well with not too many other cars using the roads. any objections, post here obviously the aim is to get as many people to come as possible..
  5. haha, its all good... twas a skyline... i think.. actually, was a burgundy 33 with wheels that looked about 17" and was series 1 with a series 2 interior. anyway, if i see him around, when im not so wasted.. then i will invite him again anyway, bedtime now.
  6. well nizman is coming too and too the guy i just saw at the servo.. i was being serious .. come to this cruise!!! i know i was wasted as and must have been the biggest dickhead.. but were not all wankers like me.. so come along. dave
  7. was it the whole dash cluster... or just the speedo part of it. Dave
  8. well then, looks like you wont pull more than me then boxhead, you would pull well on the rice dyno. All u need is mags, tint and gtr bonnet and u would win 4 sure
  9. at least you have the advantage of having an extra 20kw or so from factory. So even my car lightly modded wouldnt be equal to yours stock.
  10. sorry to dissapoint you but they arent all the same. I can tell you that the universal fit mazda type will not fit a hilux, soarer or skyline. Also, my hilux din container didnt fit too well in the skyline, even tho they are very similar size etc. Best bet is to buy the one made for your car. on that note, i have one that came with the 33 when I bougt it. Will sell it for $10. Includes postage. Its cheap cos its pretty shit
  11. i will if be v. interested if its before november 20.
  12. yeh, erins right.. does that mean u can come now dave?
  13. nice car.. should be nice going from fwd to rwd. I have a stock airbox too, let me know if u wanted it. p.s - go lower
  14. well, from my experience, all the dealers on the coast are overpriced and stupid. go private sale and save some money and also get a decent car. Not a car that looks good cos they just paid for a detail.
  15. whats so special bout it nark um, those wheels, r they good cond, or ****ed up dave.
  16. thats cool mate. I wont mention other prices as of forum rules.. but if you cant get what u want for it, let me know Dave
  17. k, thats std on a sII. Will offer you $50 + postage...
  18. just measured mine.... 350mm all round (thats from centre of wheel to wheel arch) Mine is pretty low and both the front and back bottom out on most driveways .. better not put a kit on it me thinks
  19. hey, if its your engine (which is possible as compression is getting into your sump) then your looking at around 2k for an engine and 1k in labour. Did it ping or anything before it happened? Whats it like to drive now, any smoke etc, has it popped the dipstick again? Dave p.s - you can buy cheap compression testers from super cheap and similar places. If you know how to remove spark plugs, you shouldnt have a problem doing a basic compression test your self.
  20. ah.,. well that sucks. I guess what your doing is your best bet then. Dont forget if it lights up or anything it will have wires coming from it too.
  21. you should be able to unscrew it from the gauge. All the ones I have seen are like this. Dave
  22. u should so do it! get some big ass brembos under there too
