  1. i spent $500 (inc install) for my black widow. From what I know it has 3 point imobb, 2 shock sensors and all black wires. It also has its own backup battery, so the siren will keep going once the normal car battery has been disconnected. I was just looking for something simple as its only for a 4wd.. So far I havent had any problems with it.. although when i used to live in melbourne, my building had an undercover car park and loud exhausts would set the shock sensors off..
  2. on the subject of mags... i picked up a copy of SPEED (yellow cover with circuit GTR). I beleive its only its 2nd month now, but it seems pretty good and is well worth a read. NOTE: there are no pictures of hyundai excels in the whole magazine.... thankfully.
  3. probably right.. who knows.. somehow i dont think it will get hot enough to create a problem. Even the airbox has been ice cold since putting it on.
  4. well i spose if there is a car involved..... but any other time, a sane man would choose his skyline over family !:burnout:

    MY02 STi

and another.. i think it looks ugly in this pic.. also, forget to mention, that by the end of the day the brembo's and newish (5000km's) brake pads couldnt handle the pressure and decided to give up going down the mountain.. a bit scarey to say the least.

    MY02 STi

here is a pic from one of our recent cruises. The STi took the mountain roads really well. It was taking recommended 50km/h corners at 140km/h.. without even sliding. I think I lost traction only twice all day, while even la_la (luke) got his gts4 sideways most corners. The STi was even with a slightly worked GTST... so its no rocket.. but as I said it has the traction advantage. also, its got a rice shift light which means it must be good
  21. nice one welcome to SAU .
  22. could be wrong but I read somewhere that there were XX amounts of red , ... xx amount of yellow etc, but red was most common, and then the other colours there were only 10 or so of each.. so maybe that would make this one even more of a catch.?
  23. fuel is very bad becuase I floor it all the time... but driving from qld to vic.. i was getting 500km per 60l but that was doing 130km the whole time... at 3300 rpm, where 100km/h is only 2000rpm. rust not a problem at all. when your buying if its a 3ltr u wont have a problem, but a 2.4 make sure its had head work. Also heaps of them are accident damage. Umm.. also, diesels last forever but cost heaps to maintain, so make you get a well maintained one or you will be in for big bucks. Since having mine the main expense was the head.. then after that i had most belts and hoses replaced just due to age. Also a CV joint boot needed replacing but they break when something from the road flies up and hits them. Other than that I got a well maintained 2.4 with full recaro interior and it has been great and only costs $550 a year to insure (and im only 19).
  24. disconnect your battery then leave something on the brake pedal to drain the power..
