well i have found the up take alot smoother, almost as if the gears are a bit longer.. i have no idea why. but what i noticed is i got my dad to take it for a fang and he floored it up the street and it looks alot faster. at the moment its running a 3l head on it and i am told that once i have done a few more mods the fact that its got that head on it will make a big difference. next up is a massive custom cold air intake (moving from left hand side of engine to right to stop the intake being taken over the engine before it reaches the turbo) and then a top mount intercooler using a standard r33 unit.. i will keep u posted on how it goes after that.

well we left just at the right time... did about 160km the whole way home and short bursts up to 230.. but boxcar couldnt keep up cos of his limiter... we then went down to the industrial area and did some big burnouts etc.. no police whatsoever

looks wayyy better. Whats the cost and effort involved in doing the conversion?

he's all up for it. He said he just wanted to wait til he wasn't so busy. He wants to get HEAPS of people going so we can have a real competition, so as soon as he can set a date, tell everyone u know. .. just dont tell any surfs as i want the 4wd title!

come down to the spit. just look for a blues15, grey r32, white r33.. wont be hard to spot.. it will only take u a few extra mins (5 max)!

well i was about to post in the 4wd section and noticed it is missing... or is it just me? anyway, i think some of you guys have had or do have surfs and was wondering what mods you have / had done. so far all i have is a turbosmart boost controller and boost gauge. Next plans are to remove the dual battery setup and put in a massive custom cold air intake so it doesnt run over the engine.. then onto a r33 intercooler top mounted where the old airbox used to be.. and a 2.5" zorst all the way through anyone got any ideas or suggestions. dave.

if its just a head unit install it should only take 15-30mins. There is a wiring diagram for the factory nissan stereo somewhere on sdu or sau, so u dont even need to test wires, just connect to the loom for your head unit according to the manual. anyway, who do we actually have going 2nite. well i just installed my turbosmart boost controller thingy and an autometer gauge in my hilux surf. now runnina nice 13PSI now, i cant work out a good way to mount it without paying $60 for a pod holder thingy.. does anyone have any suggestions on a easy cheap way to mount it? thanks dave. p.s - look at the damn work involved. took ages pulling half the engine apart so i could drill into it and taper.

we went down to nissan today and got them to get a z32 300zx one to see if that fits. There parts system doesnt seem to be very good at all, compared to when i have been to toyota to get import bits.

so is that a good price.. or r they hard to come by? i thought they were a tad expensive.. all up it is going to cost a bit over $300 with paint etc. or it would be $500 all up if a pro painted them.

boxcar racer and my self picked up a set today for $200. They came in black so they need a bit of work to get them to gunmetal. Included in this price were a set of rear pods too. dunno what value this is but i think the guy may have another set..
