  7. dont know any mechanics down that way.... people who live south that i know still come up to gold coast if they have to. we were in lismore on sunday... saw some skylines too i think.. also saw some in balina.
  8. most people just put them in at what ever K's showing.. which is usually lower than the true k's. They either then sell their car as a low k example, or just tell prospective buyers the truth.
  9. if thats really the case i would tell your mechanic to go stick it and stop crying.. unless he services your car for free, otherwise its the owners decision.
  10. are they scratch free and have all centre caps? if not good luck.
  11. theres a few ppl on nsw north coast that are part of the qld section and go on regular cruises. where in nsw r u? cheers, dave
  12. commondoors arent all bad... this is what i get to drive for work.. hmmm definately slower than a R33 GTST.... its more like a soarer with full leather, electirc seats, dual climate control, reverse sensors etc etc. had about a million bogans in there shit box holdens try and race... and a porsche... dead even.. must have been a slow porsche
  13. its good to hear its all ok!! was feeling sorry for the owner. Damn its a nice car too bad about the wait!
  14. I can get Nismo's and C's.. that price is for C's. At the moment C's are easy to buy in Japan hence why they are cheap at the moment. Nismos are harder and only $50-70 cheaper... but most people will tell you, the C's is much better.
  15. including shipping. dave
  16. well as its being trialled in sydney, its probably on the force to catch theifs stealing high powered cars... dont need them in wonderful melbourne where the theft rate isnt quite so high!
  17. i drive down hotham road everynow and then and never noticed a prob.. same with toorak road.. used to drive down every day... my suspension is so hard every road in melb is ***t.
  18. ps. get somone else to set your clock faster when your drunk. then u will forget for sure and think its the right time and always be on time for sure.
  19. mine keeps time with my std nissan HU... maybe they r both fast. also, setting your clock fast only works for ppl with alzehimers... if my clocks fast, it means i can get everywhere later... pretty simple really.
  20. post count sucks.... everytime i go into forsale now i see people bumping posts.. and when u go to their profile, they are new members. its also pretty pointless cos A) it just creates more spam B) it can be done in 30mins so doesnt stop eager ppl and C) doest stop dodgy ppl
  21. its been like that from day1 - wouold be good to be able to change topics... i just delete my post and start again if i stuff it.
  22. especially when u have to use 800 x 600
  23. well, my dad works in the industry and months ago he told me not to even bother with a 15year old car as they rule would be changed for sure. Everyone in the industry seems to think that the change that has just gone underway is to give them more time to pass legislation to stop 15year vehicles all toghether. You have to realise that some very powerful people and groups are against these vehicles coming in. Think about any lobby groups who are for road safety.... GTR's for 16k isnt going to help safety, now they are affordable to lots of people. Also companies like Toyota/Lexus and Nissan. They would have their dealers screaming at them as there aus delivered 300zx's are going to worth even less to sell and the LS400's which now go for around 20k will only be worth 12k. Again, same with Mazda and the MX5. This will lead to loss of jobs (something the government doesnt want) and loss of taxes..... and its obviously big enough to offset any import tax they get.. or they wouldnt do it... all they want is MONEY... same with new SEVS rules... they would have had to have had a lot of pressure to change it as it cuts out a fair bit of revenue.
  24. im pretty sure all those parts attract a duty.. however customs does let alot of stuff through. I have got a bit of stuff and they only taxed me on the most expensive box ended up having to pay like 400 in tax.. what i rip.
  25. when i was looking for a 33 it HAD to have one.... even so I looked at a few autos. My surf and soarer both have them and I couldnt live without one. I have no head clearance troubles in my car and im over 6 foot. Never had a leak problem, but I tend to leave it on tilt all the time (looks better and also i forget) and when i close it u can hear a whistle for about 15mins until the seal settles back in... but thats onhly after its been open for a few days.
