  1. i think it depends on how u drive the car - my car has no rear grip even with new tires, and with bad tires in the wet, i cant hit more than 2500 rpm or i go sideways... so im always putting the good tires on the back .
  2. phat32 - they r 2nd hand. someone was meant to come down today/tomorrow to pick them up, but never called back, so I guess they r up for grabs again.

  5. was really obvious in my 33, but thats when the seats were out.. could also quite easily tell it was coming from the rear.. is your aircon turned on when it makes the sound?

we also got a printout of exact boost readings, ambient temps, kw, torque, afr etc. How did they measure your boost - or they didnt?
  8. i have been following this closely for the past week or so. Really is a great tradgedy - both to his fans and his family. my dad was lucky enough to ride with him around a track once - apart from being a great driver - i am told he was a great guy. rip
  9. okay, nice wide wheels at the rear will help.. trust em i know.. i have shit tires and it sucks getting off the line. Even with minor mods and only 10psi i can boot it any surface or i get wheel spin My car also has a different diff, which gives more accel, less top speed - to changing your diff to a higher ratio should also help. I think a std is a 4.11, so a 4.5 or more could be good. Only thing it will put your highway revs up a bit - mine revs at 3100rpm at 100km in 5th, compared to 2700 rpm std.
  10. I have some for sale (cheap too!). I think they are sold, but pm me anyway. I also remember someone had them for sale recently at $60 ea I think which is prolly a more normal price - seing they are over $200 new i beleive. Dave

hey - those charts can be remapped after the car has run - when ours were printed, the power figure was done, then they just changed the range and printed. few questions: - was that the only printout ? you didnt get torque or rpm or afr?? - we had a dyno day down in vic and all our bonnets were lifted, then someshit was plugged into somewhere (sorry bout the explanation) - dyno was in shoot out mode - ours wasn't... whats the difference? Cheers, Dave
  12. do you know mIRC? if not, go to www.mirc.co.uk and d/l, then join AUSTNET. #skylinesaustralia #skylinesnsw we r there waiting for u already
  13. Hey , i think that custom plates always make your car more of a target.. they are alot easier to remember. give you an example - a guy cut me off in october last year.. i beeped and at the next lights he got out of his car and threatened to kill me, then tried to run me off the road after we started moving again. what the stupid **** in his homo comondoor forgot was he had personalised plates that i still have not forgotten. When the times right I will call in a favour, find his address, and spray paint a nice msg on his car warning him to never ever act like he did that day... or ill be back who wants to help !!

    haha..
  15. my remote start if set in for a manual car, will only let you start it if it knows the car is in netural. The way it does this is - after the turbo timer has shut the car down, if a door is opened, it will not work until the car is runnning again.. this just means that if someone opens your car and puts it in gear without u realising, then u wont start it in gear. However, mine is set for auto, so I can start whenever - i never leave my cars in gear.
  16. i found 3 xxx dvds

  19. were you really there squizz? shoulda said hi!.
  20. www.austech.info - they are pretty huge and havent had a problem. If the mods like the idea - im happy to moderate. You will find that there are not often deflamatory posts in there, cos it is up to the buyer/seller to put their name in, then people can respond. I think it would be good so if you were selling to XX, you could check in the forum, see that XX has had good dealings with other forum members, so then it gives u some idea of how trustworthy the person is.
  21. craig, I was thinking of trying something like this in my soarer. Do they give any power gains - or is it not worth it unless you have a highly tuned engine. Dave
  22. jvs007 - yep, have some interest, but no $$ yet.
