seriuosly, it cant be that hard in the skyline. havent bothered christening mine yet as the g/fs jeep is way easier... BUT... I managed to 'do' the ex in the back of my sisters 2 door starlet, so as benm said, anything is possible! just put both front seats right forward... the sit her up across the back seat and start riding!!

I have heard good and bad things of XXXXXX (no need to edit mine ). I think with importing, there are so many delays that are possible that you cant really blame the importer (unless they are obviously doing shit wrong). Just think of our friend Bxxxx whos car has taken months and months. No explanation why, but the same importer has done cars in 8 weeks as stated by others. If you use an importer, i think your best bet is to go with someone you trust to get you a good car... dont worry about time limits as there are always unexpected delays with shipping, customs, compliance, import approval etc. if your really worried about time, go for a private sale. the price difference is very small from what I have seen lately. Dont forget with importing, you usually need a service, + new rego etc where in private sales they have often had good aus servicing and come with rego etc.

i rego'd mine for 6months in october.... costs were about $140 for stamp duty (sun corp metway) $250 for stamp duty (be careful here as you have to sign something saying that you are claiming the price as current market price --- not what you paid,, so if you do the dodgy, u may get in trouble. Also for some reason they only charged me $135 for 6months rego.. dont know why, but i wasnt complaining.

basically what he said, but once the shocks are out, you will need to get some spring clamps, clamp down the springs, undo the nut on the top of the shock, pull off the spring, unclamp, clamp new spring, put back on.... I managed to do it without any instructions. Its all fairly straight forward. Just make sure you undo the two bolts (one on either side of shock) to drop it out and not the centre one. hope that kinda helps.

best bet is to take it to a mechanic and have it looked over. The compliance and rwc doesnt mean the car is any good. Also, it is illegal for P platers to drive a gtst, but no one seems to care. The power to weight ratio of a gtst is roughly 130kw per tonne where it is meant to be 115kw per tonne or less for p platers. Becuase the car was never sold new in aus, the police and vic roads dont have it listed in their books, so you shouldnt have any problems. If you do, just tell them its a non turbo

yep, that metal thing is the horn ring. As far as i remember, after the wheel was on, only one wire was coming out from the front, i then put the horn ring on, connected the wire to the horn and pushed the horn into place.. works fine.

was a bit dissapointed... after all the hype.. if your going to the movies i can recommend catch me if you can.. anyway - hope your enjoying it nark.
