just blame everyone who voted for bracks
  2. dont know about a leak, as it seems to be holding the level ok. Has been low since I got the car.
  3. Hey all, my power steering fluid is low and just wondering what is best to use. I know that some cars will use gearbox fluid and others use power steering fluid. Thanks. Dave
  4. cheers mate. There is a mechanic in the next street, so if i get stuck i can always give him a call if its the same for all rwds! Dave
  5. thanks for the info... ylwgtr - would you be able to give a basic run down of what needs to be done. All I have heard is I need a mate as the gearbox has to be dropped. Also, do i really need heavy duty. My car is std apart from remapped ecu basically.. And i get a sore leg from what I think is the std one in there after driving for ages around the city then again, i would like to pull a few burnouts and not be paranoid that the clutch wont hold..
  6. If the John Bowe course is the holden one, then that is also regarded as a very good course to do.
  7. i do 2 sets of 2.. read for sale post for more info : http://forums.skylinesaustralia.com/showth...=&threadid=6530
  8. paint ball
  9. my passenger door locks at 20km/h damn annoying - let me know the fix thanks
  10. I would also like to add, that in the motoring world, jim murcott was known as 'the best' driving trainer around. Sadly due to a brain tumor he passed away last year, but the course is still the best in my opinion. I will try and call on Friday and get a rough idea of what we can do and what it will cost etc. I will ask them to specifically concentrate on skills to do with driving high hp rwd cars as I think thats what the majority of us drive. anyway, will keep you posted dave
  11. will get prices 1st ... then it will be a more accurate gauge of interest. Will also post the full price too, just so ppl can see if the discount is worth it etc.
  12. got one for sale. Turbo smart blue type. Used for 1month in my hilux . email me ([email protected])
  13. well, my plan was to try and organise a driving course with the murcott driving school with a group of SAU ppl. That way, I wouldnt have to panic if it happened again... should be able to get a good rate as my dads friends with the owners.. I will call them up sometime next week and try and get some pricing then post a thread in events to see who is interested. Dave
  14. im pretty sure i felt my clutch slipping today under full boost... and i know its on the way out.. so I plan on changing it. I only need standard or equal too i think so whats my cheapest option?? Any reccomendations on a good clutch to buy. Also, I have "some" knowledge with cars... is it something I could do my self... or would any one that has done it before be willing to spend a sat/sun morning with me to help... i can pay in beer thanks, dave
  15. good to see that no one or thing is hurt too bad. this bloody melbourne wet weather! I have only driven my car in the wet once before I came here... you really have to be on the ball... just 15 mins ago I took an easy left turn in 3rd at about 60 in didnt even think i was acceling very much and the back just ripped right out.... better go clean my seat now
  16. well, the idea i was thinking is that there should just be a basic membership fee that is paid every year... could be $15-$20, this would get you your SAU membership that would entitle you to discounts at sponsors, and cheaper prices for any events we hold. For the people that want more, we should have some official SAU merchandise that members can purchase... so stickers, stubby holders, clothing, key rings etc. I think too that asking $20 for just a membership and nothing else is very reasonable.. the club will need funds for printing flyers, running events, business registration, cams affiliation etc etc and its not fair that a few members (ie slip and friends) should have to fork out the cash. Any extra money will always go back into members anyway... so no one will miss out. just my 2 c also..... I think we should ask prank if we can have someone that runs the qld members section of the website (im putting my hand up if u need!)... we can then get photos of cruises, member profiles etc happening... and i know prank is a busy man... dave
  17. oops, just relised, i think its in NSW.. der! haha... anyway, u can still ask Karl about the sound.. or box****.
  18. ross, im happy to have a look at it for you. They look pretty shitty being oval etc, but they sound really nice... a good deep bass note. Karl has had a good listen to mine, ask him what he thinks. give me a call if you want - can look later this week. Dave
  19. I would have checked the plugs 5 days ago if I were you. Only takes an hour or so!
  20. Pretty sure im running BCPR6E's. Was missing under boost so took them out and regapped to .08. No problem since. So it may be worth re gapping and cleaning before you go and buy new plugs. btw - gapped at .08 running 10psi on a rb25det. Dave
  21. most likely plugs gapped a lil to wide... search for "misfire" in this section
