    car spotting

just wondering how many of these skylines I see around Melb are part of SAU... been flashing them all but dont get much response (too cool I guess ) so, if u see a black qld rego 33 give me a flash also, saw a silver s2 with sdu sticker on front windscreen parken on chapel tonight.
  2. i have a yellow stack hat
  3. im in. sounds a bit cheap tho... u sure you can afford to have membership that cheap.. btw, i want stickers.. i love stickers!!
  4. I will be coming with a mate, and possibly racing if I can find a helmet. Is this an SAU event only, or will heaps of other people be coming. I dont really want to stall off the line in front of 1000's of people. Also, what kind of helmet will i need? dave
  5. well, 180s are cool, BUT... an rb engine sounds 10x better than a sr! My eventual plan is to get a s15 or a 180sx with s15 front and drop in a rb26/25 and in regards to the original question... i think a section for other nissas (maybe call it SR Corner) would be good. So all s13/s14/s15/gtir/180sx ppl can use that area. or we could just call the club, Sklyine, Silvia, Pulsar and 180sx austraila, but that would be gay.
  6. skyline33 - i am looking for 2 good 2nd hand (or new) rear shocks (no springs needed). Can you email me ([email protected]) or pm me if you have anything or get anything. cheers
  7. my car runs 7psi up to 5000rpm then over that it hits 10psi. I have a remapped std computer by selection, and I think its this that has changed it. Pull out your ecu and look for stickers on back side etc, as it could have been done in jap. nark - put boost gauge on a stock r32 the other day and got 10psi too.. maybe 32's run 10psi stock?
  8. whats good for a standardish car? something for every day driving and wont cost a small fortune.
  9. Never met him but the driver was a friends last boy freind. Had the car for about 6-12months i think and it had a fair bit of work done to it. Shame people had to lose their life.
  10. in regards to what car you rock up in - i have tried this at many places, and they are all as bad as each other. If you drive in with a car more expensive than the one you are 'looking' at, they treat you like god! I thought it would be funny to call in at a dealership that I had been to before in my sisters starlet (yes, they ignored me). When i rocked up a month later in the Type R, instantly got attention, then I said i decided I didnt like FWD and wanted RWD. practically begging to hand keys over to me for test drives. so a little hint, go car shopping in a nice car, makes things so much easier Mick - what happened in the end, you find out what the problem was?
  11. nice can i have first dibs on that little black plastic thing in the dash (right of steering wheel - fills holl where switch etc can go)
  12. i need a sheild too, i will bring around my car and you can make me one too re suspension... i beleive its made up of two bits , the dampers/shocks & springs. So basically you would say u have height adjustable or damper adjustable shocks/suspension. I think it would be damper adjustable rather than height, but i dont know too much about it, so dont take my word
  13. sounds like it could be a coil pack. Could b faulty, or you may not have put the plug back in properly.
  14. seperate front and rear?
  15. JiMiH - pretty much. did it on boxheads N/a easy as. Only diff is on the 32 i think u have to unscrew the amplifier pack thing as its covering to bolts.
  16. I would personally advise against using Rolin Imports. I was just unhappy with service after a slight problem. PM me if you want and ill let you know. Public forums arent a good place for these comments if you know what i mean
  17. ok, first thing is to remove the pipe that goes over the engine.. u have to take out 2 bolts and losen a few clamps and remove some hoses, also remove the hose that goes over the engine at the front then unplug your amplifier (black box that sits at the back of engine) then using allum key remove bolts from black cover (bout 4 on each side).. this will then left off exposing your coil packs. These are bolten on in 3, easiest is just to get a 12mm socket and remove all the bolts at once... then pull up on the black boxes (coil packs), they have a bit of suction so u need a bit of force, but be gentle at the same time cos I hear they break easy. Now its as easyt as removing your plugs, and re gapping them. You would need a spark plug remover that is quite tall as they are sunk in fairly deep. Auto barn will have a re gapper thing and spark plug remover.. then re gap to .8 Put it back together making sure all hoses are tight etc. Should be fine. If your still missing, the plugs may need replacing or you could have faulty coil packs.. hope that helped.
  18. I have a spare 33 turbo and a friend was thinking about putting it on his 32 and trying to compare to r34 turbo. From what I can find, the 34 turbo is ceramic as stated hence it may not be too good an upgrade as you cant boost too high. Same with the s2 33 turbo. Also, isnt the 33 a T3, so unless the 34 is the same as a 33, i wouldnt think that it would be a t3.
  19. looks nice jspec - you will probably find its your sent items causing the problem. regularily clear them and you shouldnt have a prob,
  20. surreal, what clutch did you end up getting and what did they charge. Mine will b needing one soon.
  21. would you consider doing a deal on 2?
  22. You have a good point. Having nice cars attracts attention *cough* 2 x p plate tickets on same road in 60mins *cough*. re having fun, by 4am this morn, couldnt sleep so decided to go for a drive till i got tired. Went to casino and back (400km). Did it in the turbo volvo cos I have no money to fill the r33... but it was fun... i wish we did those more often. Like mad mt runs but easy and different places. Way less likely to have hassle from police too.
  23. before NismoGirls says it, try "Gavin Wood Auto Tech" Its down here on the coast (in labrador). Quite a few of us use him now and find him to be very knowledable.. saving time and money. Did an engine swap in mine in 1 day, so they do quick, but quality work. Dave ps. there also alot who use mechanics in brisbane aswell, so its worth checking all reccomendations out.
  24. anyone know why the have taken off the movie "The Follow" anyone wanna u/l to an ftp so i can d/l it. thanks
