hmmm you musta have been real lucky cause my car got broken into at work and i took it right down to the perth station and the guy was like nope can't get prints of the dash, glovebox, the seat, the door, steering wheel you could even see that the guy had touch my faceless stereo, turbo timer and boost guage and the guy was like nope too smudged there not gonna even bother. He very litterally said that the guys would be wasting their time on my car. House got broken into they somehow locked my dog in a courtyard which they had to put their hands on the gate. waited 20 hrs for the forensic team to show up and dust mum;s bedroom and the girl that showed up said yeah passing the area i'm not the actually person to do this do i have no idea where the proper person was. Forensic girl worked in the room and said very unlikely we are going to get anything here, she dusted a couple of boxes in 10 mins and said nope than left and we never heard anything again. Mums office at work was broken into guy stole her purse and used the credit cards at a brothel in vic park that has the guy on camera. which i found out cause AMEX said it was used there 20mins after the robbery so i phoned madison avenue and said to them they just got ripped off. we told the cops this before they even investigated and then never heard a thing after that to say prosecuted or return of money or wallet. this all happened last year since all that we have forensic this that and the other in 3 different places so its not confined to one place. so yeah very little confidence in the police to use any of the forensic holy grail to help out families like mine. which i dad didn't have to give the shotgun back.

thats what i want to know, i know gear box oil is part of a service thing but using Redline stuff i haven't bought but know its damn expensive stuff so not going to buy it and its not gonna fix the job.

so you have put the Redline stuff in but you are saying that you still have the noise. i've got the crunch from 4th to 5th at over 3500rpm, have to let the revs come down a bit before switching the gears. 5th gear does work though i just cant change real fast.

what about the drive train and stuff cause GTRs are AWD so how does that all work with a standard skyline?? i'd be damn interested if possible to have a look at the engine being converted.

damn man ****ing unbelieveable thats 2 skylines stolen right from the owner in 2 days. EVERYONE look out for parts being flogged in the classifieds. since you haven't found such a distinctive car within 1 day means that its in a garage getting stripped. if we find these guys bugger calling the cops they are probably underage the ones that stole it so slap on the wrist for them the guys stripping and selling it i'd be sure are over 18. yup bring out the shovel and ropes or if needed the 44 gallon drum and cement to finish the job.

cool thanks for the replies yeah sounds like the boost thing is going to be a bit too complicated for me so i'll have to take it to a performance shop and get it to check it out. yeah the fuel filter was recommended by my friend but i don't have the money at the moment. he was saying like $160 to do the filter and the clean together but its on list to do in the next couple months. yeah checked all the fluid levels and topped them up while we did everything else but didn't do the gearbox or diff, didn't think about it. piping and tubes were ok no cracks. timing belt was changed at 94,000 kms, 20,000kms ago. now reading this O2 sensor thread that came up i'm damn keen to do this cause i got bad fuel economy.

oh aswell can anyone tell me how to get my boost to go right to .9 bar on load than having it stagnantly go up as i power through the revs and speed. basically when the car hits boost i want it to power right into .9 bar not .6 here .7 there. I saw on my friends Liberty RS that when it hits boost, whack straight to 1bar. hope i discribed that ok.

Hey guys, just did a minor service to the R33 GTST just wanted to know if i should have done anything different. I put in NGK BCPR6ES sparkies with 0.8mm gap which i had a look through a few threads and it came up as the common gap measure. or was it supposed to be 1.1mm like some other threads said? car is only like 190rwkw or less. also set cost $21 instead of $20 a plug for platinum or iridiums. I haven't had any misfire or lagging issues and my friend who is a nissan mechanic but doesn't see alot of skylines at work said that to him its running fine. Did the oil filter change aswell as get new oil. I used what my friend uses at the nissan shop some semi synthetic 10w vicuous rating. I wanted motul but couldn't find any on a saturday but he said that they use the same oil on S15's and 350Z. We also had to change the Engine Temp Sensor and Thermostat cause there cause the idle kept spiking to 1500rpm in idle instead of 800rpm also the temp guage was fluctuating alot. Changed the Coolant aswell and used the Nissan Genuine coolant. all that seems to have stopped now for 2 days so looks like that problem was fixed. while the plugs were getting done we did a throttle body clean with this spray he had and blew out some black gunk residue. anything that i may have missed like the plugs aren't gapped properly. thanks.

will keep an eye out for it, what a shit this is. also did it have any noticeable mods that could be taken off and sold?? you might want to check the for sale area or the quokka and stuff to see if its not getting flogged on there

I haven't seen it mentioned but can i bring Castrol Magnatec into the equation? The promoted stuff about it reducing all that engine wear at start up etc. its viscus rating aswell is 10W so pretty low. I see many of you are mentioned how the oils suck up all the dirt and carbon which causes it to go black so basically reducing the engine wear which magnatec says it does. anyone got any results? i have used Mobil 1 before and didn't really notice the difference between taht and castrol.
