Greenieo "I would be leaning towards this being an RX, given the lack of Hicas. Don't think it would be likely you'd pull off the flares, fill the holes left behind, then respray. My RS was about that high before the coilovers. And at least as spongy as you're saying. " Thanks Greenieo Looks to be RS or RX gear then will suit? Is there any difference ?

I'm totally confused with the s1 and s2 business. Does that only apply to m35s or does it apply to c34's also ? And what is this in reference too this thread? and if its only for m35's and mine being a s1, why is it a 5 speed triptronic? or is it 4 with overdrive?

thanks andy thank kinda clarifies it sorta hehe I've got a ride high of 140mm ground clearance on the front and slightly more at the rear..closer to 18 so i suspect its an arx debadged. (but on a hill so lifting at rear) The turbo also sounds like its spooling quite high at 3000rpms (but still undetermined if its at that 14psi as no gauge or controller yet) however cant spot the HICAS underneath the car nor the plastic wheel arches, and after learning the other box was the ATESSA 4x4 system from duncan..ive got no idea! not sure if these pics will help but can you confirm confirm? (andy or dunc) The reason i ask is .. front shocks are starting to get spungy and noisy on the rebound.. could be front springs also. so i need to really confirm before i make a suspension choice and end up getting stuck with non arx gear and finding out its an arx after the fact hehe. hehe if you dont pay the fine .. the points aren't deducted until the fines paid in full. hence dont pay the fine straight away. im about 40 demerit points over the limit and wouldve lost my licence 4 times over... simply because ive dragged the fines out.. i never lose my licence..the 3 years turns around so quick i get the points back.. 10 years running! bearing in mind.. i have a 3500$ bill with the dept of transport .. speeding fines , parking fines, no seatbelt run of the mill stuff .. long as its not drink driving or caught racing.. you can get away with murder

hehe couldnt agree more... i got picked up by a pakastani in a van taxi once who complained that all the bad foreign drivers give all the other foreign drivers a bad name..and whilst telling me this story hes tailgating folks , dropping in and cutting people off left right and centre horns and abuse coming from drivers from all sides and im sitting there thinking ..are you on crack buddy?

I'm sure everyones had their fair share of idiots on the road. Somehow us good drivers seem to attract all the bad ones..and the mediocre drivers get away with murder. Whether its 4x4's doing 30kms slower than the speed limit or douches entering freeways at 60km/hr, driver training and awareness of traffic and road conditions seems to be getting progressively worse each year, im sure you all agree! I remember once when i lived in melbourne back in mid 2000 going across the western freeway and a woman had literally stopped in the centre lane of 5 lanes of freeway in the 100 zone ... and was reversing back to make her exit. in doing so about 100 odd cars and trucks went into all different directions with the first 5 vehicles nearly taking her out and she veered off to the left hand side to make her exit. Nothing more suprising than seeing an idiot with their reverse lights on whilst your doing 100 odd down the freeway in a pack of cars and trucks! worst driver ever! What is your worst driving incident to date ?

let my dad drive my previous rexy and gsr cordia once each respectively. the gsr got reversed into a no standing pole in the first 5 minutes and didnt even leave the front lawn. The rexy required a new clutch after he chewed it out and the gearbox linkages felt weird with one 45 minute drive. (mustve ground gears every change) -- too scary to think about ! all family members since banned from driving any of my rides unless its an emergency!

hmm im thoroughly confused also. (ive had mine 2 weeks) i dont even know if mine is a s1 or s2 .. 2002 m35. with stock exterior but neo driveline. the only reason i know its got hicas..because if you look under the rear right hand side of the boot theres a box with hydrolics coming out of it.. i presumed it couldnt be anything else. how can i tell between a s1 and s2? and how can i tell if its an arx or not?

Thats awesome rudi..gotta be happy with a 14.4 for just a zorst Cant wait till mine arrives...wish there was more m35's here to have a meet at willowbank! Maybe in the future can get some s1's down there also

thats hecko's with the overheating. good to know but - thanks for the tip regarding manual mode! In my old torana it had a stage 3 semi auto with the 2500rpm stally and b&m shifter (old banjo 6cyl lsd)...but no auto clutching.. just slammed gears with compression lock ups rolling up to the lights...chewed way to much of the power though..halved the 300hp xu1 motor..but still bloody dangerous
