  1. Has anyone cut their standard airbox up underneath and plumbed air up from the front. Considering putting standard air box over HKS pod to make engine bay look more legal
  2. there's a certain satisfaction you get when you build it for yourself. It becomes your own piece of art, that you spent time swearing, bleeding and labouring over. In the end you have a creation that you can say was proudly built by you! I'd love to have the metal working skills (and associated hardware) to construct and fit some of the more advanced parts like you've done stimps, my hat is off to ya.
  3. question here guys. When I brought my car they told me it had a hks 2530 on it. When I pulled some of the plumbing off recently and got a better look at the turbo the only clues I got to it being aftermarket was the smooth feel of the ball bearing blades, and a small badge near the (oil?) feed line which said gt2530. Now is this turbo a garret? by the sounds of it it wont make alot of difference, garret seem to know their stuff...
  4. just brought chrome DTM's five spoke design. 18s and can fit 265 on the back. bolt straight on to gtst without any messy spacers and such. nice wheels, cost $2300 with new tyres. not sure on the weight though..

Yes I found this out the hard way. tinkering japs had chipped the ecu (mines) and must have advanced the timing too much, cause she blew the ends off the spark plugs and compression is down to as low as sixty in some cylinders. oh well rebuild is nearly finished and aftermarket turbo gives me a good excuse to replace mines ecu with pwr fc. might have to keep the mixtures closer to the 12 mark hey...
  6. Have tomei air fule ratio gague installed in my car and was wondering how far is too lean? does this depend on the level of tune? when i got the car the adjustable arrow was set just above 10 and in high revs the needle would get pretty close to this..

  9. what sort of dollars am i looking at for a larger fuel pump? if i chose the malpassi (which i have been quoted $290, bit steep) is there a pump that will fit - like from a gtr or something? or do i have to get something aftermarket?

Hi everyone, my r33 gtst is currently receiving some modifications and i have been recommended to use a malpassi rising rate fuel regulator/pump? any ideas on these gizmos? current mods are hks dump pipe/exhaust, gt2530, apexi hybrid front mount, powerfc (to be installed). I am hoping to run some decent boost, perhaps 15-18 psi and have been told the injectors will struggle to keep up with this sort of airflow... any tips?
