  1. Mmmm, OK. I'll see what I can find, but otherwise good luck. Shouldn't be too hard once the right info is found.
  2. I'm not sure if there's a difference between LHD G35 & RHD V35/350Z, but see if this file helps: http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/373528/pg-pdf.html Where did you find out about terminal 53?
  3. As Iain said, find the build plate in the engine bay (drivers' side wheel arch) & there should be 2 round silver stickers nearby, each about 7mm across. One of mine says R186 on it, the other is blank.
  4. I would start by reading the relevant bits in the A/T manual. If you can't find a copy I can upload one (9Mb PDF). The PNP switch also has VSS info passing thru it & bypassing it probably won't be as simple as cutting some wires or sticking an earth on somewhere. A description from the manual: DTC P0705 PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH Description _ The park/neutral position (PNP) switch includes a transmission position switch. _ The transmission range switch detects the selector lever position and sends a signal to the TCM. On Board Diagnosis Logic _ This is an OBD-II self-diagnostic item. _ Diagnostic trouble code “PNP SW/CIRC” with CONSULT-II or P0705 without CONSULT-II is detected under the following conditions. – When TCM does not receive the correct voltage signal from the PNP switch 1, 2, 3, 4 based on the gear position. – When monitor terminal of PNP switch 3 is disconnected. – When no other position but “P” position is detected from “N” positions. And a wiring diagram & reference values attached FYI. Good luck with the conversion.
  5. Search Ebay for something like 'dvb-t car tuner'. Choose one with dual antenna inputs & whatever other features you think you will want. (But I can't see any decent ones on there atm.) Search for numerous threads on here on how to install, or ask for help as suggested.
  6. Picked up the rear one from Josh when I was in Brissy yesterday (thanks mate!). Not likely to install either of them till I sort some other stuff out, & really time poor atm. Really only bought it 'cause of the GB. And I also suspect the front one will be doing the lions' share of the work.
  7. If you need more takers to do a run, I suppose I can take one. No hurry though.
  8. People in my local area paint dotted lines & arrows pointing to the pothole from as far back as is necessary for a driver to see the markings & avoid hitting it. It provides a valuable service to other road users & seems to have a major affect on the local council. ie they tend to fix them quickly. Win
  9. I hope all the butchering they had to do to the engine to make it 'similar' to the current dinosaur pushrod engines doesn't handicap it too much.
  10. I could max mine out with std turbo, but only with 3" intake & a few psi extra boost. Stock intake not so much.
  11. A lot of A/Mkt head units have the ability to work with steering wheel controls. You connect the wires & follow a learning procedure (just a different resistance value for each operation). Worthwhile checking if yours will work, but you're right, you can retrofit in the future. Let us know how it turns out. Somewhere I have 1 unit which is/was being held as the warranty spare. Someone wanted it but I forget who now, & they haven't paid nor contacted me. I must find it one day & sell it to someone....
  12. It's on the to-do list. Will connect them next time the centre console comes out.
  13. CP900 or AP900? In any case - good price for installed cruise, especially if you want to use the stalk. I think there's really only one spot to successfully mount the stalk & Andrew's turned out good in that regard. Not sure about ergonomics, but if it's good enough for the factory... Plus you get audio controls thrown in. That's worth the effort IMO.
  14. I have to agree Scotty. The manual conversion is probably the only way forward for your goal/s to be met right now, & the Z box looks like the least hassle. Maybe a half decent solution for the RE5 can be had in the future with some electronic trickery (not me either - I'm too busy to look into it right now). No real point in you spending too much effort there when it won't cut the mustard regardless.
  15. Ahh, I see. Good choice If you need any info/help on setting up the switches, read my thread on m35stagea.info or message me.
  16. I'm pretty sure the design brief for the M35 didn't include "ensure future owners have the ability to successfully track these semi luxurious station wagons", lol. Whilst I'm not happy about the lack of 'simple modifications' available for our platform (g'box included), I don't harbour any grudges against the designers/engineers. They did give us a very nice allround package. It's just some people continue to push the envelope waaay past where any decent engineer could have foreseen. Hands up who on here would know where to start at "programming an auto TCU"? including me, lol
  17. That's pretty standard for 1st time. (It took me >2 months to get mine going initially, haha). Like anything, subsequent times would be much less, ie <2hrs.
  18. That's a good price, for Aust supplied retail. Not sure about the controller tho. Besides not wanting anyone else playing with the CC whilst I'm driving, it will need batteries every now & then. I had a few C0mmand IR controllers on my work car stop working (break) before I tossed the lot out. Your RF one may be more reliable, but I like that the factory switches are good quality, wired in & just for the driver, lol.
  19. That's a closer fit than I thought it would be looking at the gearbox pic. Good luck with the project. Watching out of interest, but with no intention to change mine.
  20. The ones I supplied were AP-900C as sold here by C0mmand. The 'C' is for CAN-bus, but that part didn't work in our favour, so the (cheaper?) AP-900 will do. If you get someone to supply/install one for you, get them to leave the stalk unmounted. Nicest result is with the backlit steering wheel controls. Can buy them from Nissan for $75 - $80, & that includes the stereo controls as well - ie both sides of the wheel have buttons. The AP900 is user programmable for response/overrun etc. Very handy if you make changes to your car (especially different turbo) as it allows you to change the settings to suit yourself. Chris' kit should come with steering wheel controls, but they are the older style (from what I have heard/seen in the past) & don't come with LED backlighting. Not a big deal I suppose, but those of us with the newer switches really appreciate not having to remember what button does what in the dark. I heard from a M35 owner in the Newcastle area who found someone to supply & install one like mine for ~$750 (no switches), & I thought that was a pretyy good deal for a locally sourced unit. If you don't want to think for yourself & do much chasing around, then get one from Chris as it will work fine. Before I bought 20 in from the manufacturer, Chris didn't allow DIY install on his, & the installed cost was $900. I wouldn't have bothered if I could have bought his kit for ~$700 & installed it myself. Looks like he changed his mind. In case you are wondering, most people bought mine for <$500 inc switches
  21. ^^^ Bargain price. My guy charged me a little more & I supplied the boot. Obviously a discount was given for the thrashing test drive, lol.
  22. Well, you got me there, lol. Model looks good - so shiny. Chrome? Pity it doesn't come with the black leather interior. And the twin sunroofs.....
  23. I want to know what all this oil talk has to do with brake fluid?
