  1. I needed some cash for house renovations & so used a couple of cars as collateral for a loan. Of course I then required insurance (haven't been a fan of insurance companies for a long time) & wouldn't you know - previously having a "rating 1 for life" doesn't apply unless you are continually insured. I managed to get around it for the best possible outcome in my scenario, but sometimes you have to be creative. They suck the joy out of car ownership, lol.
  2. Will OX be wondering why they are selling heaps of rear braces but no front ones?
  3. Nice write up Brad. Edited to add missing item from tool list This mob on Ebay supplied mine - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4WD-CV-Joint-Outer-Inner-Replacement-Rubber-Boot-/220865687512?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item336c9eefd8. Just give them the measurements & you will get on that's close enough so the stainless ties hold it on.
  4. Paul, PM me your address & I'll post you a couple of the bayonet LEDs to try in your car.
  5. All this weight is weighing me down, lol. A kg here, another kg there.... it all adds up. But I should get one anyway. What would the individual price be if not involved in the GB? (ie what sort of saving are we looking at?)
  6. I replaced all my interior bulbs with LEDs. I'm sure they were 'warm' ones as they don't look very blue when on. I have some left over if you want them. I also bought 6 strips of LEDs and put 1 each in the front footwells & under each front seat. I am very happy with that mod, especially since everything in my car is black on black. The other 2 fitted neatly in the top sides of the grab rails in the back. Feel up there & you will see 2 narrow channels. The strips pushed firmly into one channel on each side & I ran the wires to the middle light so when it comes on the sides do as well. Now I can see a bit more in the back Also, if anyone wants CREE LEDs, of any particular colour, I have heaps of different ones. I had to place a minimum order with a supplier & made up the difference with an assortment. Oh, & I also put a single, high intensity, blue LED in the centre of the map lights - inset so not visible unless you look right up underneath it.. It comes on when the parking lights are on, but I can turn it off separately. It adds a nice ambience when night driving, although any more could be considered 'rice', lol. Those courtesy lights look really good Paul (good onya Eugene!) What did they cost from Nissan?
  7. I couldn't find a pic with part numbers (except for Nismo fuel cap & sticker for the fuel door), but this list http://nissan.epc-data.com/stagea/nm35/6838-vq25det/engine/172/ may have the part number you need.
  8. Dale, now I know why you sounded confident about getting the turbo back early next week, lol. Looking forward to the first impressions report when you get it in.
  9. What Stagea do you have? The M35 fuel pump fuse is behind the battery & clearly marked. The relay may be close by, but I'm not sure.
  10. 1720 for the ARX wouldn't be with a driver. I took out anything that was easily removed & weighed mine, with me in it, at the local council bridge - 1800kg. Had 1/4 tank of fuel.
  11. Hi Rafael your sig says you do graphic design. I'd have thought you'd be far more qualified than most of us when it comes to making colours work for you, lol. What's the colour Holden advertises as "one shade tougher than gunmetal grey"? I always reckon if you can't think of anything, paint it black.
  12. What are they like with listing modifications?
  13. An unknown donor sold a busted up turbo to a guy in Brisvegas. He generously lent it to me to be hi-flowed & I sent mine back which has now made its way to Dale. Afaik the spare is to be offered to whoever buys his car, but there must be a few units around that could be used by the community for these swaps...?
  14. Yeah, I counted 61 ends (damn ocd) which seemed like a lot, but makes sense once the machine's set up, why not make heaps for later.
  15. Arrow? Not sure, but here's one I prepared earlier.
  16. You planning on making 30 more Dale? Didn't think the M35 under body brace market in Aus was that big - or are you going international?
  17. Are you sure you aren't smelling yourself? I assume you ordered the cam cover gasket because it's leaking oil. That'll slowly drip onto hot things & is right below the air intake. That was the big indicator for mine & no, never noticed it before.
  18. Needs more car. That config would be slow.
  19. Haha, I would be tempted to drive the 8hrs to Sydney if you were serious. But I know you have that cruise mostly sorted now, so I have nothing to trade (except some folding plastic).
  20. I wish it was, but checked that previously. By following the trail it could only be dripping down from the valve gasket (preferred) or coming from on top of the turbo. Only seems to leak after "proper' drive, not idling in driveway, so oil under pressure by the looks of it.
  21. Today I pulled the passenger side valve cover off. Getting pretty quick at removing the plenum, associated plumbing & wiring (it's my 3rd time afterall ) This time there's no sign of oil leaking past the gasket so I must have got it right last time. Afaik that only leaves the banjo oil line on top of the turbo as the culprit. Looks like the turbo's gotta come out again, & that's gonna take a lot longer Sniff...makes me sad.
  22. Errm, & 3' intake? Lol, wife's car FTW.
  23. Mate, enough with the excuses, lol. There's no need - that's a great time regardless. Good job
  24. Good luck with that. I hope you get a good time. Nay, I'm expecting you to get a good time (for a M35 anyways).
