  1. I have the full SuperPro set (thanks group buy from years ago) but never fitted any of them. My alignment guy reckoned he doesn't need anything other than standard adjustment to get it right. But I am hanging onto the SP ones for when my oem parts wear out, which will be never at the frequency I drive the car, lol. However, I know squat about this stuff, so if it's deemed to be necessary on someones M35, so be it
  2. Nice write up Jason. If you feel up to it, can you post it on M35Stagea.info? That's a better place to store good info IMO. I can copy/paste it if you don't want to & don't mind. Cheers, Leon.
  3. Try reading these threads for info + ideas. Cheers, Leon. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/347479-fitting-an-asuka-tv-tuner-in-a-m35/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/356219-tv-tuners-once-again-the-new-asuka/page-1?hl
  4. Can you post a link to the item? If it's cheap enough then buy it anyway. Good luck & let us know if it works.
  5. Those ^ ratchet spanners would have been very helpful. I should have mentioned my tool chest was full of spanners fashioned from tree branches & spotted tree frog legs. If my car had been put together 'finger tight' I'd have been sweet. I guess my point is, you don't need heaps of tools, or even top notch ones, to get the job done. (but it does help)
  6. Apart from the truth posted above, the following will be helpful / necessary. patience breaker bar with an assortment of extension bars & two uni joints (to get to top nut of dump pipe). drop exhaust then 4 bolts on g'box cross member. This will lower back of engine enough to get to bolts that would otherwise look impossible. you'll need a big arse spanner for the EGO sensor. I can't remember the size atm, but mine got so rounded I bought every variation I could before getting it out, & for me this was close to being the end of the project the first time. May need a 'special' tool to remove a heat shield fastener or two. A cut down socket welded to a piece of flat steel bar did the trick for me. (I can post you mine if you want) Also consider sticking heat shield to the body while everything is out. Hoist would be nice but I've done it (twice) just on ramps & axle stands. My son even wrote a DIY for a school project. I should try & track it down, lol.
  7. If you keep the revs above 650-700 via throttle position will it 'idle' longer? I'm wondering if a simple idle reset/relearn or idle rev increase via UpRev would fix it (if that is all that is wrong)? I fail to see how having a hi-flow or not will make enough difference at idle.
  8. I might have missed this, but is the car running properly with the standard ECU installed, ie just plays up with the Nismo? What mods did Brick's car have when it came out & was it OK when he had it?
  9. Not full, was 'disabled' for some reason - thanks for the heads-up. I'd be happy to get another batch of cruise controls in for people as there is more than enough interest, but everyone I contact in China are morons & can't follow simple instructions. If anyone knows someone in China that can be trusted to do the transaction (place order, receive money from me, take delivery of cruise controls at China address then ship to me), I will be happy to pay spotters fee for the introduction.
  10. C34 owners can please themselves, but the best forum for M35 information is still http://www.m35stagea.info/ Lol.
  11. Since you are in Sweden it could take a long while for one of Scotty's AFMs to get to you. I think some of the Subaru ones are compatible (well good enough if you're not too highly tuned), or Nissan X-Trail. Search Ebay for 22680-AD201 or 22680-4M500, tone of them should get you out of trouble. Then you may want to investigate buying 10+ from Alibaba ($15-$20 each) so you will have a supply for you & the 2 other M35 owners over there. It will be a common thing from now on....
  12. I have enough interest to supply at least another 20 units, but can't find anyone in China smart enough to (stealthily) place the order for me so that I can actually buy them. Crazy but true.
  13. Yeah, that wrapping was something special My comment was more from a marketing viewpoint. Your front bars are definitely 'good value', not cheap as that sometimes give the wrong impression. You're welcome.
  14. Getting close Chris. STI needs more tune or goes home sad.
  15. That could be a good deal for someone who missed out on our group buy back in 2012. We paid $180 delivered iirc - I wonder what this one will end up costing all up?
  16. 39 M35's on their cruise! Never been as many on a cruise here afaik. Translated part below. "North to Hokkaido, the south is the M35 Stagea gathered from Yamaguchi & Shikoku. (On the day, are arranged in the external aero · AR-X · different colors, etc.,. M35 of the 39 units were gathered in the end)" Edit: Looks like I was there according to their list of participants (#23), lol.
  17. Have you done the brake wire mod?
  18. Good luck Jason - I hope something comes of this. Does the 1280 talk M35 CAN bus? Could be a tall order to control dash/auto g'box etc without the factory ECU involved somewhere along the line.
  19. That's a good point Scotty, & you are totally correct. Just because a heap have failed in the last 12 months or so, doesn't make the AFM any less reliable then a cam sensor, window motor or electric seat switch. They're all going to be getting close to the end of their life after 13 years or so. I've got 2 original AFM's & given how little distance my car gets driven, I reckon I'm set for another decade or 2
  20. Anybody mention the AFM yet? Nah, they hardly ever give any trouble....
  21. White M35 (lowered) heading south on Pacific Highway between Byron Bay & Ballina about 9:30 this morning. Was 'making time' like he was trying to get home from Easter holidays. You on here?
  22. Red Bull can holder....?
