  1. Yeah, I ordered a half metre of one thing, 2m of another. Just mix & match sizes & lengths till you've got an engine bay full. And what's the deal with you buying everything & fitting nothing . Get that CC installed already, lol.
  2. Looks like the usual apologies are coming in thick & fast, lol. Happens every cruise. Hey Josh, I hope you can make it as I don't want to be the only M35 there. For everyone else, it doesn't matter if your Stag is clean or dirty, modified or standard, straight or dinged - I'd like to encourage everyone to take a few hours to meet up & have a drive.
  3. I can recommend that last one (AP Motorstore). Bought a heap of stuff from them. Good products, prices & fast shipping
  4. That's a great price Dale. You must have worked a deal 'cause that listing doesn't mention fitting & balancing, plus you obviously went in as opposed to having them shipped to you. I got these the other day. By the time they were shipped & fitted it added ~$35 per tyre, but oh my are they nice to drive on.
  5. The route for Sunday is the reverse of a cruise from 2009. I'll post a route map in the next day or so, but essentially it is this: South down Pacific Motorway with pickups along the way, Locations & times to be confirmed. Exit around Elanora & head up Tomewin Mountain Rd Over the top of the mountain & down into Murwillumbah. Out thru Crystal Creek & up past Natural bridge & Numinbah Valley. Back onto the motorway again at Nerang & head for home (or lunch?). We'll have some stops along the way, so if you have any suggestions/locations for lunch please let us know. Thanks to Micah for his input & especially for confirming the roads are OK to drive on as of a few weeks ago.
  6. Thanks Micah. PM sent for your feedback.
  7. What's a guy got to do to generate some interest? Free drinks at lunch? OK, Sunday 22nd of January, yes, just over a week away (unless a significant number of people actually speak up for a different date). Route TBC.
  8. G'day Frank no, they are not the Nissan radar cruise - thankfully. From what I've read of those, they have common problems like deactivating from oncoming traffic, have issues with the radar lenses getting dirty or misaligned etc & also can't be set above a relatively low speed (105 - 110km/h I think). The ones I have are sometimes used in OEM applications, but normally supplied aftermarket. The only part number you will need to comfirm is if the steering wheel, & therefore the control panels, are the same between the NM35 & PM35 (I suspect they are) as that is the only genuine Nissan part supplied with the kit. The part number for both panels of switches is 25550-AC700. These are from the later G35's (2005/6/7 I think) & have inbuilt LEDs to provide backlighting for the buttons. The rest of the kit consists of the throttle harness (intercepts the DBW throttle voltages) & the main unit which is the brains, plus some wires to connect the bits & bobs req'd for it to work. I'll put your name down for now & PM you later to confirm. Let me know at any time if you are certain you do not want it, as I know there will be someone to take your place. Regards, Leon.
  9. How did you get it to stall at 4K without the brake wire cut mod? Mine will only get to about 2.5 - 2.8K without it. In any case, my gut instinct (& some rudimentary testing) tells me the wire cut will be worth up to 0.5 sec off your 400m time. That should easily put your times into the 13's. For next time...? Nice job guys.
  10. Hi mate, I replied to your question in the 4 sale thread (in the stagea forum). But for eveyone else, I'm waiting on some throttle harnesses to arrive. They were out of stock when I first ordered the units. Once they're in, the last 6 can be sent out. I have names listed against all but 2. So if you want one, let me know soon because once they're gone that's it. Cheers, Leon.
  11. Sorry to hear the bad news Tom. I'll run a few ideas up the flagpole & see who salutes. So everyone, either the weekend of 21/22 or 28/29. Can a few people vote for a day? I would prefer a Saturday, but traditionally these things are held on a Sunday due to work/sport comittments etc, so maybe the first few in agreement can set the date & the rest of us will have go with it. In any case there's no way everyone will be able to make it no matter what date is set. I've got a few ideas for the route but would appreciate someone reminding me of the usual GC meet point/s. Cheers, Leon.
  12. Ummm, if they are the antennas from me, or similar, they are for DTV, not VHF. What tuner do you have?
  13. G'day. I'm waiting on some throttle harnesses to arrive that were out of stock when originally ordered/shipped. I'm taking EOI in these & only have 2 places left to fill. Price is $490 delivered to anywhere in Aus. Cheers, Leon.
  14. Hi Nick just want to say "ouch" . I hope the cc keeps the postman away from now on, lol.
  15. How are we going with choosing a date? I vote the weekend of 21st/22nd, but that's just me...
  16. Hey Craig, nice summary of suspension setup. For me the lowering was 90% for looks (that's one reason I went softer springs on the BC's) & so these bolts & other bits we're all discussing are to help with tyre wear, for me anyway. The handling on my car is more than adequate for street driving with what's been done to date.
  17. Whiteline have these eccentric ones (http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_detail4.php?part_number=KCA331&sans_vehicle=1) for heaps of Nissan models. Wrong ones??
  18. That's exactly what he offered to do when sending my system, but turned out to not be required. I think he offers to cut it so he has a standby plan if he stikes an unhelpful person when sending. In most cases he somehow manages to get it sent without cutting.
  19. Shame, but if he doesn't take advice it could end up being a "money losing venture".
  20. Some answers 1) running near a lot of other wires could cause an issue, but not very likely. As a last resort, try moving them further away from other wires if possible. 2) I doubt that would be a problem 3) As long as no one can put weight on the cable/coax, then it will be ok. If there's a chance someones feet are going to be resting on them, I'd move the spare to somewhere else. I saw a pic you sent me showing the 13.x volts across the antenna power wires. That should be fine. I can't see anywhere you've made a stuff up. It's probably a PITA, but I'd recommend removing it from your car & bench testing it. You may need to find a 12V DC plug pack or a battery to do it, but that will help prove it one way or another.
  21. Has anyone had a chance to fit these yet? New tyres arrived today so I had another look at the wear & rears are surprisingly pretty good, but the fronts are trashed on the inside edge. What's the solution for that? Is there enough standard adjustment (even when lowered) or should I be looking at some sort of aftermarket adjustment thingy (that'd be the technical term, lol)?
  22. ^lol. It's just 12V that needs to be applied to the ECU pin to clear the code. Can get it from anywhere. Of course if you don't use the original brake wire & switch in some permanent 12V, you'll have restricted throttle all the time. I'm starting to think of a good idea for a "valet mode"....
  23. The above could be true as in my experience when the light came on (from the brake wire cut) I didn't notice any drop in performance or rev limit being imposed, but I also wasn't doing anything considered 'hard acceleration'. As for resetting the code, for me it was as simple as flicking the switch back to normal & pressing the brake pedal. Maybe it is different if the MIL has been on for a long time.... Also, I don't know how Scotty got a months driving between resetting. I got about 500km before my light came on. Edit: just thinking about this - it's probably because Scotty has a light on permanently due to the Emanage. He is probably talking about a proper limp mode, which is quite on the cards if left for an extended period.
  24. 245/45/18 - same size as most M35 guys are running. To be exact, they were $189 + $15 delivery, which I thought was good enough for me to give them a try. If they don't wear as good as I hope, then it's not like a paid $300 each. Other choices from local suppliers were either rubbish lesser quality than I like or too expensive - often both, lol.
