  1. About 10 people a cruise does make. Looks like the majority only want a weekend cruise. Maybe those of us keen to try out the drags can do it on a Wed nite sometime soon. Hey Tom, did you want to start arrangements on date & route before January slips by without us realising? Is a poll worthwhile or throw up a date & see if it sticks? Hopefully more will come on board when more details are known. Cheers, Leon.
  2. Hey Alex, appears there could be a few sets of controls floating around looking for a home. I'll make sure I put you in touch with someone selling when the time comes. So your ECU can be set to look for different resistances across a pair of wires to determine what map to use...? That sounds very cool. What would be nice is to be able to change the writing so the buttons say stuff like ECO, STD & POWA, for example, lol.
  3. My pleasure mate. Glad you're happy. Re extra functions available with the stalk, - all you get is a toggle switch on the end which allows 2 preset speeds. The same can be achieved by putting a 2 position toggle in the dash & wiring it in where the steering wheel switches connect. The main unit reads a different resistance for preset 1 & 2, in exactly the same way it knows what button on the wheel was pushed. The only benefit of stalk over buttons would be the small amount of time saved by not pulling the steering wheel off & wiring/plugging it in. I'd take the tactile feel & factory look of the buttons any day, but that's just me .
  4. I don't know about anyone else, but I've never been anywhere where it's -18 C, let alone driven a car there. I think 10W X would be fine for most places in Australia according to the above chart. I love oil discussions - you guys should read the ones that regularly pop up on the Stagea forum.
  5. ^ +1 I have a set of Invo's on the way. I'm looking forward to seeing if they live up to most of the reviews. Got mine for ~$200e delivered.
  6. Silver C34 on Gold Cst Hwy @ Palm Beach ~4:15. I was in a silver M35 turning into 8th Ave. Gave a wave but didn't see any response. Also, Happy New Year everyone .
  7. Check that the antennas have good power & earth connected. They have an amp built in. When I bench tested mine (inside) I got zero channels. Added power & found them all.
  8. That's sounds pretty good. Funny, just today I was thinking of suggesting combining the 2. First couple of dates would be too soon, IMO. 18th or 25th of Jan would be my pick if everyone wants to do the drags. Otherwise almost any weekend for just a cruise.
  9. I've been using these for a while now & they do a great job. The downside with the voltage adjuster over the DFA is there are more load points to set & so it will take a bit longer to configure. The upside is with more load points you can do finer adjustments. Looks like they have put the price up on the kits tho. Edit: there are some ambiguous instructions when it comes to the calibration. It is possible to set these so that each unit (added or subtracted on the hand controller) will equal whatever you want, ie a coarse or fine adjustment. If you follow the instructions to a "T", you could find that the adjustment is so fine so as to make no difference at all. Mine is set for 2 hundredths of a volt (0.02V) per increment, which gives me great control. If anyone builds one & has trouble working out the calibration, just ask. Cheers, Leon.
  10. LOL, love your translation Alex. Makes much more sense & is probably exactly what they were thinking, even if they didn't write it up in those words.
  11. Where would that be Tom? Willowbank or is there somewhere closer?
  12. Not sure about the ebay one, but the works bell version yes. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/321164-m35-works-bell-paddle-shift/page__view__findpost__p__5864382 That particualr ebay kit looks a bit wrong in the trim/cowling, besides the fact that it's tan. Our cars won't have the wiring in place, but really easy job to parrallel the switches with the ones connected to the manual positions.
  13. It's been a long time since the last Qld cruise, so I'm up for a drive. Weekday is mostly OK with me, although less chance of emergency cropping up if it was a weekend. You may remember there was an attempt at one in July/Aug but didn't get off the ground. Hopefully there's enough interest amongst Stagea owners this time.
  14. A bit sad for Christmas day, but the outlaws were over for lunch so, to ensure my day wasn't a total fail, I changed the oil.
  15. I agree. If it does clamp the AFM signal to 3.9V, the ECU won't add enough fuel under highish load IMO. My car reaches 3.9V long before WOT. Nothing wrong with modifying the AFM voltage, but to run nice it needs to vary under all the conditions the ECU is looking at.
