  1. OK, not sure if this code will help but mine is a Supercharge battery, part # MF55B24L (CCA 430). I used the same leads but I remember now the earth lead was a fraction too big to clamp tightly with these stupid type that Nissan (all manufacturers?) use these days. I probably should have changed it but I wrapped a few turns of copper wire around the battery terminal instead lol.
  2. Don't you just take it into Batteries-R-US & they pull out the correct size? That's what I did, but I'll get a code off mine in the morning if no one's replied before then.
  3. ^^ LOL ^^ When he says "light damage' he must be referring to the actual head light being damaged (actually missing). The rest is more like "moderate damage" and I think more expensive to repair then he is making out.
  4. The one I've found does have it's limits re set speeds - you can't set it below approx 40 and it stops above 250 - for safety reasons lol. I can't see why it wouldn't work instead of your factory cruise. You'd have to disconnect your buttons & connect them to this one. It has a harness that plugs into the pedal assembly, just like your throttle modifier, so that would probably have to go too. (Just thinking about that, it may work but you'd have a tower of plugs on top of your pedal & the modifier might make the cruise control too sensitive, ie surge, if it was set to a sharp 'sport' curve - but you could give it a try if you want). Of course you wouldn't get the cool radar function, but it sounds like that can be a bit annoying anyway.
  5. Is that because you think you're gonna die when you drive, or you gone & got religion all of a sudden? lol
  6. Mmm, good thing you didn't start off with a Kakimoto then.
  7. I didn't realise they got a bit loud when accelerating. I haven't heard one yet. Mine has a "note" to it when under power, but not enough to get too much unwanted attention. The Nismo tip is very nice too.
  8. Fair enough. I like to leave my battery until they give me trouble too. First sign on my car was when I shut the boot it would close completely then I'd hear the motor again & it would open back up. Maybe so you can't lock someone in the car when the battery is on the way out....? And I've looked at some of your vids - there's some great stuff on there, but I think it's just an excuse to go to heaps of motorsport
  9. Actually it depends on what aftermaket head unit you have. I've seen in the menu of mine that it can be "trained" to work with most wheel mounted buttons. You wire the contacts to the unit then tell it what function they do. It would be an easy connection to the Bose factory unit however. Not sure about other OEM stereos.
  10. Actually we all reckon the overall noise levels went down with the Blitz system. Intake noise was reduced heaps, so the in cabin levels were much quieter, at least whilst cruising. Even when giving it a bit, the noise is more pleasant, less Dyson more, erm, car. But I agree with Aaron, the tail pipe look too big - & my wife wasn't too pleased at first but is over it now lol. I still get a bit embarrased driving it around sometimes as I'm more into stealth, tho my 14yo son thinks it's too small. The Fujitsubo would be a good compromise between stockish looks & not too much more noise. I wish I had your outlet on my exhaust.
  11. Yep, what those guys ^^ said. Comes with these. The stalk is just for those without factory wheel.
  12. Would like to see a couple of your best pics sometime Ryan. Bugger about the shameful moment. Didn't we have this talk about your battery a few weeks back...?
  13. I don't think the factory alarms are totally worthless, it's just that they seem to have been mostly installed without the best work practices. If, at the first sign of trouble, you replace the crimp on connectors with soldered joints you may find it lasts the life of the car. I never had a problem with mine so far, but the sensors (I've got two) tend to be a bit sensitive so leaving the window or sunroof cracked is out of the question (except if you use the black tape mod lol). But if you've got security concerns then there are better devices to be sure. But one button entry is nice to have.
  14. Essentially yes. The brand of cruise control (ie the brain box) will be different, but in the end the operation & will be the same. Ryan, I do remember your deadline and I'm pulling strings like a learner puppeteer .
  15. I've been working for ages on getting some cruise controls in for a group buy. Just trying to get a guy to give me an address in China to have them sent to & then on forwarded to me (long story). Meanwhile, I have my local Nissan guy getting the 2 switch panels for the steering wheel so I can start putting that in in preparation for the cruise arrival. Was expecting to put up an EOI thread any day now, but there always seems to be a delay . Here's probably as good as spot as any. Anyway, these ones come with a stalk control if you've got an aftermarket wheel or just want cruise for the cheapest possible price. Cost won't be anymore than $400 delivered, plus the cost of the switch panels if you want them (about $70). I'd buy the ones from Chris but I want 3 so it adds up to a fair bit. But when i started searching they cost $900 installed & I don't think there was a DIY option. That's what got me motivated. I too have tried a cheaper unit from IM (~$350) but was so crap I've half installed it in my X-trail & given up lol. The beauty of having an M35 is the cruise only has 4 connections to wire into: batt, earth, CAN Hi & Lo. There's an accelerator harness to plug in & the stalk/switches plug in also & you're off & cruising. No hunting for brake, speed, tacho, neutral/clutch wires etc.
  16. Good in theory but you can't always get the bigger tyre in the right size for your rim. At least without spending 3x as much because it's an unusual size & is only ever used on a car that they sold 6 of, instead of every falcadore out there, lol. What size & brand did you get?
  17. I usually find the tipping point is about 3 people, certainly 4. With only 2 it's almost always cheaper to fly. But, if you take the Stag you could do the cruise..... Yeah, what did happen with all the previous enthusiasm? I agree with Ray. Try for later & also leave it up to someone who knows how to rally the troops (Darrin?).
  18. Is there any interest in making a weekend of it and driving to Sydney for the 15 year anniversary event on October long weekend instead? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/366043-stagea-15th-anniversary-event/page__view__findpost__p__5912179
  19. I'm a bit late reading about this, but sounds like a great event & would like to come down for it. Point to note: the October long weekend will mean double demerit points, so everyone will have to be very alert when travelling .
  20. Hey mate, I might spot your old car one more time as it heads up past my place. Seemed to see it everywhere last time you were up here. Are you replacing the M35 with anything or just downsizing vehicle numbers?
  21. Yeah, looks like you, me, Steven & 2 unknown voters. If the votes for best date is anything to go by, there's only going to be 2 or 3 cars on the cruise . To me, 3 cars a cruise doesn't make, lol. See what happens in the next few days, but it's looking more like a postponing to a later date is likely.
  22. Do you think there was a big improvement over the swaybars alone? I travelled over a very tight, twisty road a few days ago & I broke something as there is now a knocking noise. I'm thinking the shocks finally gave up their last. New BC's were ordered a week ago anyway.
  23. Not sure about these dodgy backyard mods, but I'm all for frontyard mods. (My garage is at the front of my house.)
  24. OK, so it looks like that was the road where I took my picture from & posted it in the other thread. Now I look like a dill for not knowing where that was . Closer to home for me & somewhere different. Gets my vote. But Mt Mee was very good......
