  1. Does it look aftermarket? Mine was blank until i installed my 'fun' switch in that position. You may have to drop that panel down & see where wires might go.
  2. Lamington Park Rd? Do you mean somewhere around Canungra - up towards O'Reilly's or is there a different road in mind? I've just come back from Springbrook today and that's a very twisty road, but too tight to really open it up. Mt Mee is much better in that regard IMO. Not sure about Lamington tho. Do you have a map link for it?
  3. Nice car. I'd make him an offer, if I was in SA & was looking to buy. I like this from the add: Dual opening rear boot door option. Since when can you buy a M35 without the dual opening rear?
  4. Does your son want to go on a Stagea cruise for his birthday? How about starting a new thread with a poll of 3 or 4 dates for people to vote? Once a date is set those that can make it can decide where to go. Or not.....
  5. Hey Dale, who painted the tree mural on your bonnet? Not my choice of artwork but it's very realistic.
  6. LOL, proposed route? I just looked on google maps for the squigliest road in the Gold Coast hinterland . Not sure now where that was. I really dug Mt Mee, but was a long drive from Byron. Still happy to go back for another run if that's what people want tho.
  7. So that makes about 37 different people now making dump pipes . The more the merrier, I guess. It might free up Scotty's time to make different stuff
  8. Nice. Boot full of wheels too?? You know you could get lucky with the wiring. There's so many variations in these cars & since you have the extra blinkers..... Just have wait & see.
  9. Hey Troy I'd put a few bucks on "no". Someone recently checked wiring for mirror mounted indicators & found the loom didn't include anywhere to plug them in. Iain might be worth asking since he has stripped an interior & think his didn't have electric seats.
  10. So reducer required from standard piping into & out of intercooler. No worries. I had another question re the HDI model, but might post in a more relevant thread. Cheers.
  11. So what's the standard inlet/outlet pipe diameter of the HDI cooler?
  12. yeah, sorry, I should have read further up. Please carry on....
  13. So the cat in the dump pipe has been removed or the one a couple of feet further along?
  14. Isn't it better to have one that doesn't trransfer too much heat to your intake plenum?
  15. Can't wait to see the pics. Those type of modes are one of the best bang-for-buck IMO, tho I think you're robbing yourself of a few kw's. Mmm, maybe not - it depends on the sticker. I dropped my M35 to the repair shop to get the rear fixed (only 4 months since the truck rolled gently into into me) & I asked for most of the badges to be left off. Normally this would only net me about 3 - 4kw, but because there won't be any residual badge marks visible (it's being painted), I should be getting an easy 5kw from this mod.
  16. Nice work Scotty. Sounds like a decent improvement, even the though the dyno sheets don't make it obvious (to me at least) so well done .
  17. I agree. I love the black leather & electric seats, but the switch gears digs into my thigh a bit on longer trips. There is a Nissan service bulletin that covers a (potential) fix for this - I posted them on m35.info forum - but I've still not bothered to try it.
  18. I would be ecstatic if I got half that distance on a set. Didn't think it was possible actually. I need to buy tyres in the next few weeks & you've convinced me to ask around for someone who knows how to align a M35 properly.
  19. Well done Ryan. I hope the new alarm is the end of your worries; well wrt alarms at least. Keep your eye on the battery because one day your car will do something strange & it's not always the first thing you think of as being the cause. 6 years old means it's had a pretty good run.
  20. You can't complain about value for money with that distance travelled, amazing! I'd put up with lower grip levels if i was to get anywhere near that wear out of a set. My Toyos have worn the insides at the back as well. Had 2 wheel alignments in 10000km. Might be time to get a 2nd opinion
  21. This could be a "feature" in that some engineer thought it could be too dangerous to run cruise control in conditions that warranted you having the windshield heater turned on, ie. icy conditions. Sounds like you have the cold pack edition.
