It's not a mini disc stacker is it? Probably not, given your car was made after the 1.5yr period when mini disc was popular LOL. I have the mini disc stacker that came out of mine (including cartridge) that you (or anyone else) can have gratis if it helps. Maybe there's a collector of "fail" AV equipment out there. Can add it to your collection of Beta video, Laser disc, HD DVD etc

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Commsman replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I hope it all goes well Brad. Let us know what you have (my guess is it will be a baby, but you know what I mean ) -
Short answer - No, it's really easy. The trim that sits over the door sills (sort of hockey stick shape on front doors) lifts straight up. The plastic lugs just pop out. I've had mine out/in literally dozens of times. At the front, the kick panels have a plastic nut against the firewall that comes off without tools. Lift the rubber seal a bit and pull the kick panel off. There's even little slots you can put your fingers in & it comes straight out, away from car body. You'll work it all out as soon as you start .

Car Leaking Water Inside Cabin
Commsman replied to minh's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I've run a heap of wires in the same place in my M35 & not had any water get into the car, even when driven in really heavy rain. Having said that, it probably is the cause of the leak, especially if the plastic trim that sits against the windscreen isn't totally flush with the glass. The water could happen to drop straight down the cut they've made in the rubber boot. Nothing some silicon won't fix though . Good luck. -
If it was me, I'd risk it for just a year to get the car you want. They hardliy give you a second look, if you behave yourself that is . Some of the cars I see driving around with RED & green P's are obviously illegal (huge FMICs, BOV's venting to atmosphere, looooowwww suspension etc etc) & they seem to get away with it. However, if you take a while to find the right car you could find you won't have an issue for very long at all.... Good luck with the hunt.

You've done well to get all that done in 20 mins. LOL at leaving the nut patially on. I remember having to take the steering wheel of our ride-on as a kid. Took the nut all the way off, gave the wheel a big heave & it came off & smacked me in the head soooo hard, doh . -

Same factory wheel as came out (just better condition), right? How long did it take you & did you need special tools - like those star head security doo dads? -
M35 Dash Mount Media Computer
Commsman replied to scotty nm35's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I think it's straight, but just pop it out & have a look . It'll take longer to open the car door than it will to drop out the connector from under your steering wheel . -
Post A Pic Of Your Stagea Thread
Commsman replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
That's very nice. I do so like them in white. Is that the tv tuner remote sensor on the a/c display? Also, you cant operate the a/c when the the double din screen is open . I suppose it's only open occasionally to no big deal. Brad did a great job on the AV install . -
Nismo 280Km/h Instrument Cluster For M35S
Commsman replied to bigkevracer's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Dash looks very sexy Ryan. LOL @ more accurate. I doubt it could be less accurate than the standard one, haha. Are those your original dash's km's on odometer or did the Nismo odo transfer across? Sorry, no idea how these things work. -

Didn't you read my first reply to your alarm prob thread? I had to replace the battery in my M35 a couple of weeks ago ($130 I think). The one that came out of it wasn't the original one from manufacture, but probably the 2nd according to the date. So a new battery every 4-5 years isn't too bad considering all the electronics on board. -
Easy to fix - just get an expensive looking sticker for it . Or you could replace it entirely with a more expensive push button. I must admit, it doesn't look to be the right quality compared to the rest of the interior.
-
This would work fine but harder to implement since you now have to find 2 wires & afaik the handbrake doesn't have a connection to the ECU. Also, the handbrake wire is prob an earth but what is the one we cut? It could well be a feed from the brake lights, ie 12V, so one of it's purposes is to let us know when the brake lights are out, not just kill our launching fun . I think a simple switch to reconnect the circuit is simplest & possibly less problematic in long run. It can be mounted close to ECU (even in glovebox or top cubby near DVD) if you don't want to run wires across to driver's side.

Hey Chris, my point was that I have heard your views (on the alarms etc that come installed on our cars) a few times before & I knew you would be of the opinion to rip it out. To be honest, if mine started playing up & I couldn't easily fix it, I'd replace it as well. But I would have a go first - that's just me .
-
Yes, I'm sure he would .

So a thief could climb carefully into the back without triggering the front sensor LOL. Doubt it ! It wouldn't hurt to ask Northshore to see what was/wasn't done. I don't know what should be changed at compliance, although I have heard that an Aus standard immobiliser is supposed to be fitted. I'm confident, however, that nothing was done to my car (not Northshore complied BTW). Having said that, everything works in that respect so I'm not worried.

The ultrta sonic sensors do look a bit like a really small tweeter lol. These the same as yours?

I believe he is an official reseller and has such handles warranty the same as the others. He is just keener for the business so does some forum marketing in his spare time. He is quick to respond to email questions, which is great, so maybe confirm with him. The only downside is the delivery time for our cars is about 15 days. From that I'd guess he doesn't keep ours in stock LOL. But I am a patient man so that doesn't bother me. I've been waiting on some spare parts since Christmas...... -
What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Commsman replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I found a guy on here that sells the BC racing BR's for $1165 delivered (http://www.streettotrack.com/). So your Silk Roads are still cheaper (but only by ~$165) and I'm not overly concerned about it being harder to adjust damping. Can you tell me if they can be set up soft or do they start at "firm" & go harder from there, as per most Japanese coilovers? But with a name like "Silk Roads" they sound so soft & comfortable LOL. -
I don't want to hijack this thread, but "not yet" is the short answer. i have a spare SRS module to try out one day, so fingers crossed & all that.
-
If yours is the same as mine, you've got 2 sensors - pasenger side on dash & driver's side top of B pillar. I occasionally put black electical tape over them so I can leave the windows down a little with the alm on. See if that stops the random activation. If it doesn't, consider changing your battery as a nearly stuffed battery can cause some weird, gremlin like, symptons. If all else fails, hit you mate up for a cheap alarm .

Is that a new price or 2nd hand? $160 cheaper that BC's is tempting.... -
Very nice . Another air bag light eh? I hope that gets reset easily.
