Sure, that wouldn't be very difficult, but I reckon if you were planning on driving hard it would be easier to flick a switch which leaves you ready for action the whole time. Then just turn it off when finished. If you forget (for the next week ), the worst that will happen is a trouble light on the dash which is fixed by returning the switch to normal & a restart.

Ahh, so Scotty's could have been on as well, just masked by other MILs. What about Aaron? No light yet? I haven't gone more than maybe 80kms since I did the mod, but have switched it out/in a few times & hence keeping me error free.

How come Andy's car throws a code & others haven't as yet? Has he just travelled more km's, stopped/started more often or done something else to trigger the ECU into realising it hasn't seen the brake on for a "while".... I love how our cars behave so differently. M35's are always keeping at least one of us thinking/guessing. There's nothing boring about our rides

Queensland Stagea Crusie And Dyno Day - July 2011
Commsman replied to darrinspencer's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It's not mandatory to have a hi po Stag to go on a dyno is it? Mine's not & I'm still interested to see the result. Would prefer a 4WD dyno, but not a deal breaker. -
Can you post some pics?
-
Umm, that was actually Ryan that offered his blanks. But not to be outdone, I would have offered mine to you Dale, if I had them I have the foggies in already tho. If I had the front bar with empty holes like you, I would make something up myself, you know - fashioned from a piece of plywood, bark & bobby pins etc - MacGyver style LOL. Doesn't matter what it is 'cause after you paint it matt black from a rattly can no one can tell

Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...

I think there's some variation in factory boost levels, eg my RS should "only" run at 12psi (or 12.6 to be exact) according to most sources, but my Pricol gauge had it at 14.x psi (dropping off to 13psi just before a gear change) on the stock exhaust. Now with full turbo back system it occasionally runs of the scale (15psi gauge only). A typical boost controller won't let you run lower boost than standard. I think you will have to play with wastegate actuator springs or the like, to achieve that. -
The standard bits that came off my car are perfectly fine & you can have them if you like. The centre muffler could be expensive to ship tho....

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Commsman replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I reckon there are much better buys out there, that's for sure. I have mine displaying GPS 98% of the time & playing music from USB or Ipod. I've never tried playing movie files (I guess I can use the TV tuner for that) & I've had similar erroneous performance with BT as well. The other thing is I can't get some DVDs to play because of their menu structure, so it's probably great value for <$700-$800 but otherwise I'd buy something else. Pretty flash for a people mover tho . -
What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Commsman replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Yep, that's the one. Put in by previous owner (well he got pro's to do it) & I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it as it's bloody expensive. There's even a sub in the back (same spot as the factory Bose goes - hey, poet & didn't know it ) & the sound is pretty darn good. If I was starting from scratch I'd either do a carputer or probably a much cheaper brand double DIN (Chinese fleabay special haha) as I couldn't justify spending that much on something that didn't make the car go faster/handle better/more economical. -
New Imported Stagea Aero M35 2003
Commsman replied to TWOAR81's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
OK guys, time to calm down . I'll let Troy tell the story if he wants, but it looks like he's come to a favourable agreement with the dealer so you won't be fighting over all the goodies just yet. Nice looking car IMO. That leather does look particularly well cared for. -

My Eclipse is compatible with steering wheel controls as well so there must be a few options out there. -
Mate, it's a great look. As they say, you can't beat an original. You should buy it now before all the cheap Chinese knock-offs hit the market. Can you post up some pics of you camping under the Stagea lean-to for all of us to admire? I promise we will all be jealous .

Here's the camping accessory you've all been wanting to buy since you saw it in the options catalogue....

Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...
Commsman replied to WAGON_BOY's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Not too bad since being able to return my car (interior mainly) to stock without leaving too many remnants of my work is high on my list of priorities. The holder was the slimmest one I could find that would expand to the width of the GReddy unit. I tried it on the drivers side first but not quite enogh room between dash cowling & raised centre. I laid some felt (or similar) inside the metal clips which slide over the vent slats so it wouldn't scratch them (anal, I know) and I had to use a small piece of black rubber to wedge the vent so it would stay put over bumps. It can't be seen & it stops the vent moving down from the weight hanging off it . Also, it is easy to slide out & put in the cubby below, to hide it from prying eyes if I am ever in a dodgy location like Sydney lol. Andy, good work on the gauge holder you fashioned. That's a nice spot for it too. I hadn't worked out a way of mounting anything there successfully, so well done . -
Whiteline Nm35 Stagea Sway Bar Group Buy
Commsman replied to Daleo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I feel better now. -
That lists the price at ~ USD$42. Sounds too good to be true! I wonder if shipping is >$100 lol Actually, I don't know how you would go about buying anything from here.... Maybe just a good guide/reference for prices & you'd still need to approach Mr Nissan dealer.

Whiteline Nm35 Stagea Sway Bar Group Buy
Commsman replied to Daleo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Ahh, I never checked if that hole would match up with the tab. Nevermind, I've modded it so it'll be fine from now on. I get the principle of the sway bar re both wheels moving over a bump makes no difference, only individually. So I suppose as long as the linkages are the same length, there really isn't any problem to worry about (yes I greased the bushes so it moves freely ). Providing there's not clearance issues, in which case you would need to raise/lower as the case may be. Mmm, if I'd given it a minutes thought I wouldn't have wasted my time, nor anyone else's, with a stupid post..... doh -
I'm a bit lost. Are you still talking about sex?

Getting Rock Hudson'd really sucks. Happened to me back in Feb & I'm still sorting it out. You should be OK with insurance all round, but royal PITA with having car off the road etc. Good luck with the repairs. Hope it ends up OK.

Bump to generate more interest. How are we looking with numbers? 4WD dyno? Just cruise no DYNO? Cancel due to lack of interest? -
Whiteline Nm35 Stagea Sway Bar Group Buy
Commsman replied to Daleo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Oh, and what has everyone done about preload on the rear bar? I asked my mechanic/race engineer sic, & he said it should have no load/tension when sitting on it's wheels. I set mine like that when jacked up, so naturally now it's on the ground, there would be some load on the rear bar. Does everyone concur with his advice, or does it make 2 fifths of stuff all difference? -
Whiteline Nm35 Stagea Sway Bar Group Buy
Commsman replied to Daleo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Well, my friendly mechanic let me use his hoist & tools today & I got it off with an air gun. Ended up grinding 2 flats for a spanner to neatly fit over. The thing is, when i went to put the bar on, the intact tab didn't extend past the edge because the new swaybar is bigger. So that side had to come off and 2 flats ground into the shaft as well. What has everyone else done? Am I the only person who has found the (dodgy) mechanism Nissan designed to allow you to remove & tighten the bar to the linkages doesn't fit the new ones? On a different note, WOW what a difference . -

Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...
Commsman replied to WAGON_BOY's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Pretty much anywhere they can be seen from the driver's seat, lol. You'll find the fav spots are prob A pillar & inside the flip up (top) section above glove box. A lot of M35 owners are running GReddy Informeter touch which has configurable display so you don't need much else. Can mount this anywhere really. Mine is clipped onto a vent (use mobile phone holder) so can be removed easily. Cheers, Leon.
