I should have known you'd be all over this. I didn't see that it also appeared above the AC. That's an easier place to find it than behind actual dash display. I've got a speedo correction device I've been meaning to fit. I'll see if I can find a wire that works & let you know. I wonder if you get the full manuals translated for your ~$140 (there's an awful lot of them for the M35) or a cut down version? Shaun, I too had started doing this & I agree, what a pain. It's better than nothing I guess but I think I'd rather buy the manual, if it's any good.

Hi Andy, you may just have mistyped the pin number above, but in the DI (Driver Information System) manual for the G35 on page DI-14, it says at the back of the combination meter (dash) the terminal number 19 is the "Vehicle speed signal (2-pulse)". Is there a wire at that terminal? I was looking at this last night, but thought there had to be a better place to pick it up from. What happen to the brown connector? No luck there?

Ryan, I'm flattered you thought I could help . I've been chatting with Andy about speed signals and stereo problems recently. I think it is the latter that he was hoping he could get more info about by finding the right manual. I'm pretty sure he's looked at the Japanese and Infinity manuals & still has some questions, but that was where I would have sent him anyway.

Carbon Wrapping Anyone
Commsman replied to Chris Rogers's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
This is one of the better ones. There's a few differences but close enough to provide help. -
Well, I decided to check the filter in my car today as I don't want the be giving out wrong info. I opened the lid & there it was so I took a picture. Then I looked closer & the part number is different on the filter than it was on the box when I posted the part numbers months ago . It should be RCA113C. SuperCrap had to order it in for me, so maybe the box got damaged along the way & they swapped for a different one...... All I know is my earlier post was wrong & I'm owning up to my mistake. Sorry Dale (& others) for giving out incorrect information & stuffing you around. I'll have to take more care next time & get the part number from the part itself and not from the box it came in.

Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...
Commsman replied to WAGON_BOY's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Exactly what I think & did, although I wouldn't like to criticise another man's car (out loud). As long as your happy witth your choice, that's all that matters. As far as the list of goodies goes, some of the other models can come optioned up pretty well. Mine is an RS and, besides the Aero body kit, has leather electric seats, dual sunroofs, TV, tilt down mirrors, alarm/central locking, & probably other stuff I've forgotten. And because it didn't come with the fully integrated dash, can easily accomodate aftermarket GPS/DVD/bluetooth/Ipod etc device. I'm not too sure actually what's left besides a LSD & heated seats (yuck... ) -
Hi Dale. Yeah, it's in the car right now.... Sorry, I threw out the box ages ago (along with the 40mm I cut off the filter - joking ), but I copied all the details from it when I wrote that. I don't know what the deal is with yours being too long. Aaron was talking about getting one only a week ago. I wonder how he went with that part number?

Aww, shucks . What a glowing review. I'm glad you are happy with it. It was an easy install for me - you did all the work & I just talked about cars . -
M35 Stagea Dump Back System, 3 Inch.
Commsman replied to scotty nm35's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey Aaron, how loud is this one? Not as loud as your new one I guess, but is it a young fellas exhaust or family man's exhaust? -
The description of the red one doesn/t match the pictures. We were discussing this on m35stagea.info. The pics look suspiciously like another member's car (since crashed & parted out). If they are too lazy to take pics of their own car when trying to sell it, then maybe something's up.....

M35 Boost Gauge Install - Stealth
Commsman replied to Commsman's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
That's good to know, thanks Josh. I have one assembled & ready to go in my car (still stock turbo). If it gets hi-flowed or changed down the track I may need to swap out the Jaycar controller. No big deal as it's very cheap. I chose it because it got rave reviews & it fits my DIY mandate . -
M35 Boost Gauge Install - Stealth

Ahh, that is cool. Keen to hear what you think after you've tested it. I thought your Emanage was where the DVD player was, or does it take up the whole space? -
M35 Boost Gauge Install - Stealth
Commsman replied to Commsman's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
That's a great spot for it Andy. I had a quick search but couldn't find the dimensions. I hope it fits as there's less room when the cover is down than it looks. I had to remove part of the lid (not visible when closed) to allow for the gauge mainly because it's angled towards the driver's seat. If it was flat it may not have needed too much cut out. I filled the hollow bit with expanda foam then plastibond. Does the GReddy EBC do anything different to the Jaycar IEBC for <$100? -
The cover closes to retain factory finish.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Commsman replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hey Brad. I didn't get a joy stick with my car. That was the whole point of me making one. I was sick of having the spiky bit stick into my finger all the time. But Iain tells me he has a spare so at least you know who to ask if you lose one properly next time. -

Gee thanks Iain. That was information I could have done with a week ago! Well I suppose I have something a bit unique now. Speaking of unique, did you see my post on the stealth boost gauge on m35stagea.info? BTW I can't get on right now. Could just be the internet where I'm am right now though. -

THAT looks great. Tip is way big enough. Also like the debadged look on your black car. Probably a better effect than it would be on a silver or white car IMO. -
Hi Tim, I've been told the best place for the antennas are front & back screens for maximum separation. Coax runs behind A pillar & C pillar trim & the antannas stick to the glass right at the top. I saw pics from one install and they couldn't be seen from outside, but he also had a strip of dark tint at the top. Reception in capital cities is normally pretty good with these antennas. They are almost as good as the factory ones in the Stageas which we are lucky enough to be able to use.

Fashioned a bespoke knob from aluminium bar. Turned it up on a poor mans' lathe (bench drill). Has a nice solid feel & looks a lot better than a missing knob. -

How can that be Aaron? I've driven one with a Kakimoto & it was loud. What did you have on before? (sorry, it's probably listed 5 pages ago, just don't want to go looking). -
Thanks Dale I'd better have a full set too. Those prices look too good to pass up. Nice work.

Tv Tuners Once Again - The New Asuka
Commsman replied to Commsman's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Sorry, I forgot to post the reply I got last Thursday from "Richard" in China. ________________________________________________________ Subject: Re: modified TV tuner Dear leon, I got your meaning and transfered it to the manufactory. It is realizable to do that, however they have to change the components parts and it will make a big change of the inner structure and the outer shell. One important point is not the cost, but the production run. The Min order to them is 500pcs, but I will do my best to discuss with them, please keep contact with me for this issues. ________________________________________________________ I'll ask them again once they've had a chance to think about it for a while. Hopefully they will be able to produce a couple of samples. Otherwise you might need to find 499 other people who want one .
