Yeah, they're close. Manufacturer is putting them together on Monday and shipping soon after. They say they'll be here by the end of next week, but I think it'll be a few days after that. I've asked for an extended IR remote sensor cable (5m long instead of 3m on samples) and they will supply these with this batch. I'll post some more pics and install options in a new thread soon. Cheers, Leon.

Nate, I'm positive it will work fine. Dead simple to install too. Anybody CAN do it (pun intended) Obviously check with supplier for definitive compatibilty. I'd have one but I'm not likely to go to the track, ever.

So far win/win ! Please let us know what range you are getting on the gas after you've been thru a few tanks. That will give the true story of the economy gains. It's great that it's running so well.

For Sale: Greddy Infometer
Commsman replied to Jetwreck's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Why's that Craig? Did I miss something? BTW, that was a good price for your info meter and I would've bought it if I didn't get one myself just recently. -
The V Series Spotted Thread

Silver V35 coupe with Qld plates in Coffs Harbour this morning. Had space saver spare on front passenger side & I think he was looking for a tyre shop. Turned right from adjacent lane & I thought the thin wheel was gonna fold under the car when the weight transferred onto it Hate to drive too far with that on. -
That sucks. Hope you can get it repaired back to previous quality easily & cheaply.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Commsman replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hi Tom. I saw you on the highway on Sunday, just north of Ballina. That yellow really stands out on the road. I wasn't in the Stagea so you wouldn't have seen me. have a safe trip. -
It looks the same as the G35 because it is so I'm not sure if it's exactly the same as the V35 but hopefully it's close.

What do you think about this one http://cgi.ebay.com....e=STRK:MEWAX:IT ? Much bigger size (500mm x 500mm) and similar price. If the reflective heat shield was stuck around the return pipe (after intercooler), it would help keep the heat out and cool in. If the pipe doesn't get as hot from under bonnet temps, then it can't transfer as much heat to the colder air. I think insulation works in both directions. I'm with you about wrapping the turbo in a beanie tho. Just not sure how it might affect life expectancy. In theory the turbo should be able to withstand its own heat (covered or not), and stopping the heat transferring directly across to the air side would be desirable but..... I'll have to keep asking around. It's certainly not the first thing that needs doing, but would be easier whilst under replace dump and exhaust. I bet I couldn't be bothered to do it later -
maybe this time with a picture......

What happened to the rear wiper? Missing lol? Doesn't wipe rain away? As a side note, mine is pretty ordinary at clearing the rain. There's always a smudgy bit at the highest part of the wiping arc. The damage to mine is pretty minor, but that could still translate to plenty of $. It's a bit hard to see but there's a crease about an inch above the bottom of the tailgate and 2 main marks where something sharp stuck in. Also another mark, much smaller, outside of frame. A couple of plastic clips that hold in the inside lining also came out/broke off. That could indicate a less visible type of damage, but the tailgate seems to line up OK and opens and shuts like normal.

Thanks Iain, that makes sense. I was hoping that the stock ECU was clever enough to calibrate itself via other sensors and thus lower the duty cycle with the larger injectors, but nevermind.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?

Cool, I thought that's what you meant. Scott's dump was posted to me on Monday so I expect I'll have it tomorrow. He suggested stick on heat shield from an ebay seller, and I've since found a couple of different ones that look pretty good. Even thinking of putting it around the IC plumbing to help with heat soak. I too have noticed just how much heat is retained under the bonnet. I'll also get some wrap for the dump pipe which should help a bit. What's your opinion on those turbo "beanies"? Probably a bugger to put on considering where it's located on the M35, and not sure how effective it will be. -

Do you mean you stuck the heat shield directly to your dump pipe, or to the firewall to reflect the heat away? Can you give me details of cost and maybe a phone number/email address of the place? I was about to buy some on line but will hold off if yours is so good Scott's buying some -
This might be a novice question, but will the stock ECU run the the bigger injectors and sort itself out re AF mixtures? Or do you need a piggy back module or aftermarket ECU to make them work? And what sort of $ does a set cost?
-
I don't care how much it costs as long as it's fixed right. Biggest problem is, who has the time to go to 2 or 3 shops and explain what sort of car it is and how particular I want them to be etc etc ? There are some marks on the front DS guard that are etched in and I'll ask about getting that resprayed since they'll be making up the paint anyway. So, maybe, at a big stretch, this cloud has a silver lining - with a clear top coat...

Hey Cobey I think getting it from here http://www.sendspace.com/file/302wnc will be easier and other people might like to download a copy also. This link may not be active for more than a few weeks tho. About page 103 on the file it starts to get into what you're after, I think. There's a table there listing every pin, wire colour (applicable or not?), what's it used for and what you should see if you measure it with a multimeter or CRO. The AV (audio visual), AT (auto transmission) and BL (body, lock & security) files are the only others that were too big to be uploaded to www.stagea.info but I can post links to them if anyone wants them. RE TV tuners, they will be here as soon as my Chinese friends finish partying for their New Year. About middle of this month they tell me but I'd add another week for slow shipping. RE Cruise control, I received a sample that has all Jap instructions in paper version that won't translate when scanned & copied into online translator. So that's gonna be interesting. However, it isn't the type that will work as factory (buttons on steering wheel) so it's going in my X-trail and I'm back to hunting down my previous number 1 choice. Look forward to seeing your 12" rears. Seriously? you've gotta be kidden'

Today a dump truck driver working on the Ballina bypass couldn't keep his lazy foot on the brake and rolled into the back of my M35 whilst stopped at the roadworks. Like I really wanted to spend time getting quotes to repair the tailgate. I spoke to his boss today and I think he'll be visitng Centrelink soon...

I've got the manuals for the 2003 Infinity G35 coupe. Loaded them onto www.stagea.info forum as many bits similar to our Stageas. But I do remember a couple being too big to upload and the EC PDF was one of them. PM your email address and I'll send it to you, if your email can handle nearly 27Mb of file I can get manuals for other year models if you like, but not sure if there will be any/much difference. Do you care to elaborate what you're up to?

This Is The New Recipe Chat Thread...

Bugger. That's enough to ruin your day. I don't know how you city guys put up with driving around all the time, just inches away from some dill about to run into you. However, you could do them a favour and offer to source the parts for the repair at a good price, if only you knew where a some spares were.... -
Sure will. It should only take about 3 weeks to get them in and I'll announce it on this forum and the Stagea one. Cheers, Leon.
-
Must be like the M35's, so I only found out recently. There's a valve of sorts in there that supposedly opens when enough exhaust gas pressure occurs. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong....
-
Mate, you just don't stop do you I'd love to see all the new upgrades and customisation so you're very welcome to come on down.

Crap Aaron. What have you done to your car to deserve that? I'm interested so I might be able to keep mine running longer.... I do like your positive attitude though. Spoken like a young person with no kids/mortgage and plenty of time to devote to their car
