  1. my cable from the sensor is like 10 cm long so it has to be under the car :S i was thinking of making to holes under the car and put it there
  2. well i have the cable inside the car i brought it through the hole under the passanger seat, but the big thing that connects the sensor and the other cable is just hanging under the car and that cant be all that good :S so i need some ideas on where to place it, can i just press it over the heat shield for the cat or is it going to get to hot?
  3. like 30 cm before the "cat" but having a problem where to put the plug for the harness :S
  4. Ive got one more question for this subject where have all of you put the harness plugg between the sensor and the harness to the gauge? the big connection thingy, i dont want it just hanging under the car :S and how well can the cables handle the heat from the exhaust???
  5. haha then its not just my car, you got me alittle scared there
  6. i did the "smart thing" yeah well thats how high mine was haha, so just accelerate slowly or one speed? My wideband can record if you hook it upp to a computer but right now its me and my friend hehe he's looking at the gauge and im telling him the rpms works like a charm haha Do i tune it alittle more? bcoz im closer to 12 then to 12.5, i want the car as optimal as possible And just have to say thank you everybody for all the help!!!
  7. I have been out tuning the safc now with a friend and the difference is just sooo big! but my question is, right now the AFR is about 12-12.3 should i try to get it more close to 12.5 to get the optimal AFR? My settings that i did right now is around -8% And one more thing how do i tune the low throttle position? do i drive with half gas or what?
  8. well my car would run will run with the z32 just the settings in the safc that need changing but i have replaced it yet so
  9. well you cant place it after the cat if you dont have a decat otherwise the readings wouldnt be very accurate
  10. there arent any chip to the rb25det right? and you might be right and if the safc cant fix i will have to try something else
  11. thanks man i will try that, and as soon as i have got it leaned out i will type down how many % i had to lean and at what rpm, just for fun i know you cant just tune any car after another but it could be fun to see how much i have to lean out to get the right AFR
  12. the aem windeband should be placed 36" from the turbo outlet according to the manual. 36" is 0.9144 m
  13. One last thing What should the ne points be set as? there are 8 ne points on the safc 1 right?
  14. thanks alot! i will do that
  15. yeah i kinda understood that to, i was just gonna put it in the oem place just for the tuning part then change back, but now i will have to find somebody that can weld in stainless and put it thoose 36" from the turbo. Any good place that i can get the harness into the car??
  16. well the stock o2 sensor wont come of so that idea wont work :S and welding the bung to the exhaust is a problem because i have a stainless exhaust and no mig to weld stainless :S god damn it, any ideas how i can get the stock o2 sensor to come off?
  17. okey i will test this just as a test to see and then weld the bung some other day, can i weld the bung in the decat? or is that to far away?
  18. Yes i have a de cat, so i can just take out the stock o2 sensor and plug in the uego sensor instead and it will work anyways, then maybe set the stock sensor back when ever i want?
  19. can you explain the first part there, should i install it in the original 02 sensor place? the exahaust bung is the thing that the sond should screwed in to right? i have one of thoose that came with the package...
  20. Hi im in the garage now and im thinking about how to install the sensor to the downpipe, do i need to take down the downpipe, do i need a new gasket? what is the easiest way to do this???
  21. Thank you very much, i dont want to start a new thread so i will hope for an answer here for this one! im about to mount the aem wideband sensor and is looking around on the downpipe where to put it? do i have to take down the downpipe from the car or what is the easiest way to do it? need help really fast!
  22. But i can lean out the nast flat spot ive got with the safc right? coz i have e real flatspot from 4500-6000rpm where the car goes really really bad, no missfiring just a big loss of power
  23. okey zero benefit but is there any bad things from installing it?
  24. I aint making enough power i just got the Z32 for a good price so why not fit it was my thought I have looked into stand alone ecu but the SAFC was in the car when i bought it so i was thinking that i maybe could use that one for now, and then maybe later if more mods would come buy a stand alone one! My mods are just: Fmic 3" exhaust with no cat Apexi air filter Boost at 0.8 bar (dont know what that is in psi) Apexi safc (not tuned) Z32 afm
  25. Hello everybody my name is kenny and im new here on the site. i live in sweden and is also a member in the swedish version. Anyway i just have som questions about the apexi safc (ive been searching and looking at all kinds of threads but havent got a real good answer yet) I bought myself a z32 afm and im going to install it this weekend and wondering about if theres any setting on the safc, when i look at the manual from apexi website i see that there is a setting just for z32 afm (hotwire 4), so will the z32 afm work on my car if i change the sensor settings on the safc? The other question is what AFR is the best? the car is a skyline r33 Gtst, im going to trie to tune it on the road we have long and good roads here in sweden i have already bought a aem wideband so i can check so nothing goes wrong! Offtopic here: i must say that after all my looking around in the forum, you guys are really good at answering peoples questions! thats why i became a member here! well i hope some of you guys have some good answers for me (excuse the english, as said before im from sweden )
