  1. A bit of a pictorial wrap up of the first round of the Nulon Nationals at SMSP. Held on a wet skid pan, it's a Motorsport event that pits 9 forum based car clubs against each other in club level Motorsport events. I represented SAU NSW. The courses were measured out CAMS motorkhana courses, not very suited to our Nissans being much, much tighter than what we run in our texi days, however we put in a good showing and banked some good points to move onto the next rounds. Thanks to the club Prez for the pics!
  2. Hahahaha, stole my thunder!! I uploaded that over night. SORRY for the big fat head in the picture!!!
  3. The skid pan at smsp has an inbuilt water system. It flows down from the top of the hill to the bottom. I like the wet surface, it is a great equaliser for the field.
  4. Swap cars??? I'll put my hand up there. I know I copped one penalty for a cone, the time looked out for the course so I asked the timekeeper who confirmed. Thankfully the other courses that I wrong directioned first run, I think I got sorted on the second run.
  5. Hahahahahah, did you almost make it home? Or was this on the way?
  6. Thanks for the pics Ciaran! Some amazing action shots in there. One looks like Eric has almost lost a wheel! Duncan, I think I saw about the same result. I haven't seen a tabulated result, but I'd love to see it and dissect the info!
  7. It was great fun running against some strong opposition and looking over at the end to see you slid into the pit a couple of seconds ahead!! The heads up is good competition. Wasn't too happy on the courses that had cars heading towards each other...
  8. Woo! Can't wait to see the leaf hand out the punishment to the V8 crowd!
  9. Dunno, mine hasn't cracked... Has yours?
  10. Are you running the same dimension tyres all round? We know attesa is fussy to mismatched tyre combos. It sounds like your rough running could be a CRank or cam angle sensor. They are a known failure and attributed to the rough running. Sort of makes me think the CEL has been taken out. But first, check all of your intake plumbing, and make sure of no loose hoses, clamps, gaskets etc. Lots of places for intake leaks on those motors.
  11. Ah, forgot you had those!!! Put some details up some time of what your doing. H2 looks like black magic to me, I'd love to see the details and results.
  12. Don't want to swap em for a r32 GTR front brake setup do ya ???
  13. Then you should have a look under the plenum of a high km vq35.... It's not nice. There is lots of oil in the gallery's that lead to the runners, and it covers everything in there.
  14. Thankfully it's much easier on a vq35, as mine just adds a catch can between the PCV and the return to the manifold. Often overlooked is whether the can actually contains anything! Lots of the cheap cans have no baffling nor contents inside. Meaning, it's basically useless. I have a fairly large can, and it's stuffed with about 5 expanded stainless steel pot scrubbers! This provides the scrubbing action to remove oil from the normal crankcase gasses. Works really well. The crap doesn't build up in the manifold or the back of the throttle plate anymore.
  15. And what's this VG30 bell housing business....?
  16. Why you taking them off, Cam?
  17. Hard to say. I had a bit of a spongy pedal, but I think there was a smidge of air in the rears, cause after we bled that out it felt 1000x better. Would have liked to compare apples to apples. They certainly provide very confident performance.
  18. Nah, just the fronts. Nope, no more power planned. Unless my money tree fruits and I can get some headers and cats, the tune is pointless.
  19. Heck no! Unless you have a F1 budget! Auto shops and/or pirtek sell 3/8 transmission hose. I know someone who had the supplied hose split on them. Maybe it was as simple as a dodgy batch, but since there really isn't enough to do the job in the box anyway, so you'll need to buy more.
  20. I've got a 6cyl one on the stagea, which has been great. The 180 has a 4cyl one for the powersteering. Only comment would be buy quality hose, as the stuff that comes with it is a bit dubious.
  21. R32 GTR brakes for sale here... http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452304-r32-gtr-front-brake-calipers-and-rotors/
  22. Hi all, For sale I have front sumitomo calipers and rotors from a BNR32. Calipers have been painted black in the past, and paint has started to flake a bit. Easy to spray or paint strip to original finish. In good working order having just been removed from my Stagea. Restrictors removed. Great upgrade for stageas, S chassis, or 32 gtst. Rotors are OEM nissan, cross drilled (no cracks), curved vane, and measure 30.9mm, so plenty of meat left. Pads are QFM HPX with ~8mm of material. Comes with Oem 12mm bolts, along with spacing sleeves to mount onto cars with 14mm bolts. Also has a full set of shims, and all pad retaining hardware. Will ship at buyers expense. Asking $350 Contact via PM Location Sydney, northern suburbs.
