  1. I'll post a screen shot of the log tonight if Theo says thats OK. The thing its doing is not reading properly Scott. When we had it on idle, it was counting up and counting down in a pattern. Not flicking round like a normal O2 sensor would do. So it would go 100%, 99, 98, 97, 96 etc etc right down the scale in even fashion. What you actually want to do, is make sure that the low rev high load area is out of O2 correction, becuase this cycling won't provide a solid fueling basis for whatever your doing with the timing. You can take a couple of degrees timing out, but its still not going to help you if your ECU is dropping 25% of fuel or adding 25% of fuel. Road tune time. Let me know if you want to borrow my logging stuff, if the HKS doesn't do logs and graphs.
  2. Scotty- the thing you are missing is that I logged Theos car a couple of weekends ago. The O2 sensor AF correction is doing a weird thing whereby it cycles from one extreme to the other in adding and taking away fuel- upto the maximums of 125% and 75% This is the reason it is getting the Bank rich code. I don't think it would be ign timing related otherwise it would have showed on the dyno, and Jez tunes very safe. I'm not 100% as to whats creating the problem with the AFR correction, but only what I have been told by the guys in the UK is that the computer doesn't like it if the original cell values are too far out for the AFR to correct. A stock car with run +- 5% AFR correction. This I think would be the first place to look.
  3. Brown trousers time with GRO through the grass on the final turn.
  4. Theo, did it ping at open throttle giving it some or cruise light throttle?
  5. aaannnndddd? got pics / vids?
  6. Hi All, I have FOR SALE 1x 03 Nissan 350z OEM viscous Limited Slip diff Centre- nil gears incl. I bought it with the intent of putting a LSD in my car, but other plans have come up. I bought it from a Member here, who installed a Tomei LSD into his Z. It came from a ADM 03 350z with approx 40,000kms on it. M35 cars share the diffs, so able to be fitted to a M35. If you wish to install into a M35/V35 that has an open Diff, You WILL need additional parts I believe, like the output shafts- hear that clearly. So- It would be good for a AR-X or Axis car that has higher kms, and the diff isn't as tight as it once was (or keep it as a spare), or an owner that wants to go LSD and can source the other bits. Price - $100 no offers. Pick up from Hornsby Area of Sydney. Not really economical to post, because its shit heavy. Photos to come if you want them- looks like a diff centre....
  7. I suspect the ping was due to it being too lean. Was like cycling before, adding and taking fuel. If it was taking fuel out up the hill, then it would increase the risk of ping. Unplug O2, reset ecu, and see what it does. Shouldn't ping in high load/rpm because it shouldn't be using the O2 correction. I think the tune is safe, but it's the ecu having trouble with the O2 sensor. The tune really has no bearing on that. If it doesn't work, then just as Scotty said, move the fuel target to 15:1 and that'll stop the ecu using the O2.
  8. Spotted a silver pm35 outside a hotel opposite the entertainment centre about 945pm tonight. Looks like you were staying at the hotel. Giggity:p
  9. getting everything in place - easy. Getting the system bled and no burrrbles - more difficult.
  10. You can do Uprev for 1/2 the price of a Haltech. Auto can be done with a Haltech - but its not easy, and I suspect that no-one in the west has done one before. It was described as "hell to wire in" to me, thus I went uprev. Please tell me your not running the car up to full power with no tuning? If you continue, you will break the motor.
  11. Well it has a $200 wideband included.....
  12. The top tanks are usually the first thing to go. Hot coolant and being made of plastic makes the brittle, and they crack. Either that or the seal around the top tank. Bottom tank is usually ok, becuase its cool by the time it gets down there. Rad shops can replace top tanks, but easier option is the wrecker one I guess.
  13. What ecu you using? Hp or kw, and why isn't it running right?
  14. Go to Nissan dealer - Explain situation. Take demo car for the day- making sure the dealers plates or something get in the pic. Easy?
  15. What? Don't think its weld on. The original piece for my car (dunno about NM35s) has a female end, and the goldy coloured anodised piece pushes in and secures into the alloy pipe. The kit seems to have a lipped edge- so it wouldn't push in, but a bit of silicon tube and a couple of clamps would sort it out just fine. I think the bigger issue is the cross over exhaust manifold pipe, and the extra stuff round the back there.
  16. Just the stock coolant sammich plate one
  17. To give you a quick idea - cars that I have logged when hot (ie traffic/idle/city driving - NOT giving it a boot) have logged oil temps around the mid to high 90s.
  18. Well, that rules a M35 right out - no manual at all available. Its good your beginning to narrow things down.
  19. Have driven/ridden in this car, and can say its a great upgrade and well matched with the Nismo springs.. Not harsh at all, but firm and controlled. Will make a great upgrade for someone.
  20. Interesting. Trans temp - cool! How much? (googled- wow, RRP is expensive.) You may have to find a NM35 and plug it in to see if it works the same.
  21. Wow. So much effort. Well done Eric. Website looks great, and should serve the club well.
  22. Call Nissan tomorrow mate. They sell in 5 litre bottles. Get two. Not difficult.
  23. Thanks guys - took the Dog for a walk and chased some water dragons (one of our fav. pastimes) and had a good chat to the neighbour. feelsbetterbro.jpg
  24. I'm a cranky miserable barstard today. Question, what do you do to get out of the mood?
  25. Pm sent.
