How often do you hear about Grandmas old ford lazer being pulled over and defected for worn out brakes, oil leaks, headlight out, flogged out shocks etc etc. I've heard of a import driver pulled over and they couldn't find anything, so they defected his handbrake for too many clicks.

Why would you pay extra for a premium product of any nature then? Why isn't everyone running around with $300 china spec ebay turbos? I understand your point Joel, its a lot of money, and IMO I wouldn't buy one new. Those prices are a left over from when they sold the system as a dealer add on. The Nismo exhaust is made by fujitsubu. But remember people pay more for a premium (real or perceived) product.

I would but I have the homo non-turbo version,and wouldn't like to confuse all the awesome turbo drivers out there with my dinner platter intake plenum.

Yeah this one is restrictive and sounds shit. The mid pipe is good, but the rear can is for an cars I think. Cam has the axle back I think. Old discontinued style much better.

The hks won't work without modification I believe. Ive seen and installed one. The big bracket that hangs the charger and pulleys is made for a motor without variable exhaust cam. It bolts right onto the front cover there, so I'd bet that you'd have to make a new one or modify it. The other thing you have to worry about is your direct injectors. Who knows what capacity they are, and if they will safely support the extra fuel needed for a s/c. It's not like you can drop injectors in easily, with aftermarket support. And find a ecu to work. Have you priced a vq25det motor? I know it would be very difficult to wire in, but it should bolt right up to your gearbox, or you could use the box that comes with it without the front shaft, or even a 5spd from v35 or 350z will go in, or a manual. It's just a matter of getting everything to talk to each other. You'd get a motor for the price of one of those kits.

Been using them for some time. Would recommend.
