  1. in after Iain... again. Le Sigh
  2. Did you actually notice it do the re-learn? Or just think it hasn't worked? Its quite distinctive - it revs up, drops slowly past 650 to just above a stall then comes up again (you will feel it stutter). You Rev it up to check the reset, and it should idle 650 +- 50 at normal temprature. I only ask because it is not easy to nail the reset proceedure, and lots of people have trouble with it. It does work though.
  3. Light blue M35 leaving a Wedding I was at on Saturday night in Newport.
  4. Lol. No, no, no! Petrol only bro, not even 10% ethanol. Reason being, parts of the carbs in these machines are made of plastic and diaphragms made of rubber. Ethanol reacts badly with these components, causing in the case of the plastic, warping. This in turn breaks seals, and will cause the machine to not run properly. Classic case is the Briggs sprint motors. Warps the plastic carb on top of the tank, causes an air leak that in turn makes the machine run rich, and foul. Tally so far, ive fixed 4 neighbours and friends mowers from this problem.
  5. It's got pimple..... Just saying. Mine too.
  6. I don't taste donkey. I had plenty of people follow me and ask about the car, or give me the thumbs up. At the end of the day, it's personal. Any v35s been to Wakefield and set a decent time? When you get a bit more mature, you stop putting garden furniture on the boot, and fit it in the back of the car...
  7. Nah, Craig has a 3071 high flow. GTRS needs custom shit done to fit.
  8. Ha... yeah, happens all the time. Not always the kms, but blockages in the oil feed line don't help the matter and starve the turbo of oil. Its the sort of thing you should budget for when buying the car really. It was a bad design, and very restricted. So plan would be - Scotty dump pipe, turbo rebuild with smallest highflow- whatever Dale got seems to be on the money. That will make it happy.
  9. Better off putting a value on it mate. As has been mentioned, people have different ideas about what "detailing" is. I don't think any one would hit you up for a $700 session, but you have to outline what your expectations are. Owners of these cars are not going to take it to the local indian carwash for a cheap wash. Keep in mind, there are lots of these requests, and good on ya for being a bit different. Good Luck, and hope you have a good ride/ great time.
  10. Here you go Mark- Sorry about the quality, I only have a cheapy camera. vid of 11.9 (again - sorry about shit quality....) http://flic.kr/p/deqyBB
  11. Check the ancillary belts, the bearings of any tensioners. Could be the belts are worn out, or in correctly tensioned. Could also be that the bearing in the AC / power steering or something else might be gone. Try and use a length of garden hose to listen through to pin point the exact component.
  12. Hahaha... Your not the first, and won't be the last to have a mouse nest in the valley. Pesky buggers.
  13. emanage does appear to have maps for the Z32 and VQ35de AFMs. But I have no idea if I just click that button it'll scale it fine- thats a tuner question.
  14. Agree 100% I've had Rudis car logged, and there was nothing in diagnostics logged, and nothing dodgy going on with the voltage output through the test. It may be a suspect pin or solder within the ECU, or even bad earthing from somewhere. I dunno
  15. Never said there was, its just not my thing. Whatever you do to your car, you do it for yourself- because you like it. Thats how it should be. Doesn't matter what you do, as long as your enjoying it. Pics! I love RPF1
  16. I haven't heard of the same issues on the forums from Z owners. However the characteristics of the AFM are most likely quite different, and we have no way of tuning the AFM table. Does emanage have AFM table adjustment, or just switch over points? So were stuck giving the same old advice - if you have a oiled filter (K&N) get rid of it for a dry, clean the AFM in contact/afm cleaner overnight and it might come good, and look for shorts in the wiring to the loom that could cause a short and fry the unit.
  17. 18x9.5 +15 with 215/35R18 A 9.5 with a 215 on it? You must be in the "stance" crowd huh? Its not my cup of tea, but I defiantly want to see pics of new wheels and how they look. Must have had spacers on those other rims.
  18. Yes, agree. But I should have been more clear. I have not seen that type of gearbox produced and put into a production car since. The Chain CVT has comprehensibly taken over. Thread needs either moar MV35 pics, or tits.
  19. Thats why there is so many of them on the road today, is it Cam? This thread is OT- I preferred the previous tangent
  20. Nah mate - you haz ultimate- NO gears! How'd that work out for Nissan
  21. speaking of breaking stuff - is anyone in trouble for the rest of the season with the 8 engine / gearbox rules? Its too hard to keep track. edit: http://www.vivaf1.com/reliability.php
  22. yea boy! POWERGLIDE!
  23. What did you use for the Diffs Dale? Guess I better do mine at some stage.
