  1. yeah, you don't really want to piston to come out the full way. I haven't done the rear pads yet so haven't looked at them, but sometimes the rear pistons are slotted and have to be turned to retract back into the housing, sometimes they just slide so you can use a G Clamp. So take them off, and inspect the slide pins, pads and piston. Then make sure you empty out some brake fluid from the reservoir, just down to the minimum line, before you try to get the piston back in. If it has groves, it will spin- someone should jump in and confirm if it does. So turn it in a little way- this will force fluid back into the reservoir. Check the level, and add new fluid if needed. re-assemble, start car and let it idle, then pump up the brake pedal and make sure the piston comes back out and clamps, and you have effective braking- at least then you know that end is good. Its a bit funny that the fluid is right up the the neck. Usually fluid drops as the pads are being worn, and the pistons push further out.
  2. Can we have a tally? Turbos- IIII I Motors- III Right?
  3. Lol. Good story man. Plenty of times I've been back and forth to pirtek. Did you have any ability to read before and after results?
  4. These people may help... http://www.abm.org/
  5. how about "buy heaps of rat bait, cause they gonna nibble the shit outta your car" Does that work?
  6. Oh, you must think this is a store. Sorry- can't help. We are not your servants. If you want to post a polite "want to buy", something like "hey guys, I'm after any second hand or new gauges you might have hanging around, I like white/black faces, and am after oil/water etc etc" that would be acceptable. The "want to buy" section is at the bottom. Otherwise, approach a shop and ask them how much.
  7. Ok man, good luck. Test it out good and proper before you take it 110km/h down the freeway.
  8. Artz, just think of all the little mementos that you'll get from under the car when you get under there! At least the tow truck did some skids pulling you out
  9. Srs question. Is that even legal? Does someone have to check it or anything?
  10. Jack up/ jack stand- remove wheel, remove brake pads, inspect piston, make sure it goes in and out and shit. Look at the pins, make sure they are straight and I think they should have a little grease on em. Could be a suspect master cylinder seal as well.
  11. If you can't get into Maccas with nismo springs, your doing it wrong. How much did you chop off the bloody things? IMO, let the accords/lebspecs have their airbags. Instead budget fora turbo rebuild, because it will go eventually, and power/handling improvements, and a nice set of genuine rims.
  12. Hi Dave, Welcome to SAU. There is plenty of info about your car here, and lots of modification advice. If your looking for something, have a search as its probably been covered before. Now - go and get some good gear for that Neo, and show them whos boss at the track. 360rwkw on E85 is attainable on the stock block.
  13. Had a great (cold) weekend. Track day provided lolz watching at turn one. I think it was Fatz that decided to enter turn one sideways every lap. There were 2 GTRs running in the 4 and 5 second range - pretty impressive. was great watching them hook up out of turn one. Certainly was an mix of machinery on show.
  14. Find some wet grass....
  15. This. I know most people don't understand the process or the information available to the ACS. The fake invoices are pretty easy to spot. Some companies are mad for it, even if you don't ask. Some of the examples provide Lolz. Again, this can't happen any time soon. The investment into both it systems and personel would be massive, and in the short term, unprofitable. That and most places dealing with goods don't have the space to store everything while people lodge payments. And the gift thing doesn't exist. It's treated exactly the same.
  16. Unfortunatly you are (we are) confined by turbo size. So, thoughts on that? All other factors being equal the 3.5 or stroked would still be choice for a track car and road car because of more useable power band and torque. That being said, your going to have to put a lot of effort into something like that, when you already have a proven lil performer in your hands. I think on the weekend it became even clearer to me that big power does not maketh the fastest way round a track. But more usable power and torque and the ability to put it down efficiently does the goods.
  17. re: EPC data, you probably just didn't enter it in the right format. You can go into the details and just search via model code- example- CPV35 auto gearbox runs 23710-AM905, AC610, CM46A in chronological order. You can PM me your VIN, or find someone to hook uprev up, or go to Nissan.
  18. One from Gerg-R31s track pics of the Event. Dare say this wasn't the 1:17 lap
