  1. Only some 350z had vlsd. Mostly the manual cars. What you need to work out, is what ratio your diff is. If yours is 4.1 like some 2.5 cars, and you put a 3.5 or 3.3 diff in it, it will be even slower.
  2. Yes- will fit a 05 As long as you have the ribbed with of Ruber tube thats missing in the Pic. Sell has also torn out the "powerduct" too.
  3. Was your mum ripping big smoky skids up the road too? Lol
  4. It's all up to you mate! I'm quite happy with what I'm running on the stock block. You might as well strap on what comes with the kit, and just turn it up to max boost. A built motor will take it no worries. Get used to driving that. It's quite a big difference! Probably good to run the motor in with tha too. The adaptor is a bespoke part of the kit. You'll need something made up to link the manifolds, pipe to the ext gate, and the turbine housing, in a bigger, more free flowing design. It's not an off the shelf part! Honestly, with a gt3582 think it would be pretty scary! But I'm a massive pussy. I like going round corners too, not just planting it In a straight line.
  5. Can I commend you Matt on a very well constructed review, and great pics. Thank you. I think I work with the hwp officers partner, if he was on shift at the time! Was a good end to that part of the story!
  6. Yup. Get Scotty to make you up a new adaptor for the cross over/gate in t3 and get a gt3582 with 1.02 hosing in there
  7. FP3 bishes. its dry!
  8. Was going to say... thats not your Chassis number! Looks like that Knock sensor would get a great signal too....
  9. This guy. He Know. To put it in perspective / share an experience. I have a 70kw Mazda 323. The shocks were completely gone. The drive was so bad that along a uneven 80km/h road in the wet the front tyres (which were of good quality) would spin up under power. Thats with all of 70kw. Now imagine you with your 206+kw trying to put that through rooted shocks to the road. Shocks play a big part in how much traction your tyres have - in simple terms, if the tyre isn't in contact with the road you have no grip. get it sorted, and the car will be nicer, and safer to drive.
  10. Very nice! I did expect the MPH to be a bit higher with the power, but in 12s for a fat arse wagon is very impressive. Any chance of a Vid?
  11. Very nice mate! 60ft of 1.7 or 1.8?
  12. Having a look. Classic lines about typical English summer. Drivers will be working for their coin over this weekend I think.
  13. 6 pages of grocery getters! I thought it was a hip, modern, trendy Mag!
  14. I too wish you luck! I'm going to take a punt. 13.2 at 114mph. That's my guess.
  15. From memory the story goes like this. When op got the quaife limo, it suited the open diff, not the vlsd. As op had the vlsd, the output shafts were different to what the quaife suited. The shop who installed cut down the vlsd output shafts to suit the quaife, leaving less than normally would remain of the splines. One would assume that the shaft has popped out, and or stripped one of the cut down splines. Does that sum it up so far?
  16. Badges/stickers don't count. Whatcha got?
  17. May have fouled the plugs just moving it out and turning it off. Does it try to start, splutters and dies or just no kick whatsoever? You may try to put a booster pack on the battery for a bit extra juice when cranking. But please note - the starters don't like being cranked for a long time. They heat up and burn out quick.
  18. Was going to say that this morning, After you mention the diff! Good news. Should be less expensive. Just go and buy a non LSD diff, and transplant your quaife into it.
  19. Might be a emissions thing, us and aust are more lax than eu and other markets. Just a guess. On another note, congrats to the new FT86 owners. As much as I thought i got over it, and don't want to like it, I keep seeing the ad with tsuchiya san and giggle. Hope a gt depreciates a bit over the next few years and maybe I'll get into one as a daily
  20. When you can get a china rad for 1/3 of the price, that is backed by a lifetime ( even if untested) warranty, you wonder about the state of aust manufacturing. They do market their stuff as high end, and has been said, Motorsport wise their product doesn't get any bigger (F1). Maybe a boot up the bum is needed from the small consumer.
  21. Congrats mate! Bet that's a bit chilly round Bathurst in winter. Have they gone to injection on them yet? I rode one in Thailand that was injected, was a good thing.
  22. I would add stage 3 weight reduction to the performance section. That got me 4.3 seconds round Nuremberg.
  23. Just the general mechanic should have something if thats easier. It's not like you can drive there easily.
  24. Scan tool, check for error codes as a first option. After that, drop and inspect some fluid. Check for particles over 1mm. Obviously you've checked and it has fluid in it, at the correct level? Other than that, sounds like its farked. Buy one from a wreckers or have it rebuilt.
  25. Naw, broken window sucks. Did see this several times while working at a BBQ sales store ages ago. People being tight not buying delivery, and jamming massive boxes in little hatches. Better than a brick through it I guess.
