  1. Having another look at theirs I can see, looks like it'd be hard to replicate the ssr. There is a rubber o ring and everything in the base of them. I can't quite tell how they seat, but the wheels so have a little lip in them. It's a mystery.
  2. Good idea Iain. Thanks. I'll see him this weekend. Got to figure how they fit in there, and see if it's possible.
  3. 1650kg here. Well, started with no turbo system, doesn't have all that attessa pumps and shit you guys have, nil sun roof, cloth manual seats. N1 spec stagea!
  4. Nah, I'd say the LMX5 centre bore is way too small. EVERYTHING I have tried has been too small, Craigs, varrstoens, stocks etc. Just need to suck it up and buy some 2 mins noodles to live off for the next fortnight
  5. Nope, just have a centre bore of 79.5 mm, fit obviously, have a decent depth to fit over the hub bolt, and not look ghey- nice and plain so I can spray black and shove them on The SSR ones look a work of art - turned aluminium or something I think, but are also shiny, and I don't really want shiny, and I don't really want to pay $40us each + postage to spray em black! numbah 4
  6. Just realised why I do everything myself on my car - fing auto shops are as helpful as a kick up the balls. went to a jax shop to enquire about some centre caps - had the measurement and everything. All he could say was you should try the wheel company email them or whatever. Didn't want to help at all. To busy selling shit wheels to commodore owners I guess. Anyone know anywhere I can find some plain jane centre caps with a 79.5mm centrebore, with a decent (over 15mm) clearance over the bolt? SSR US want $40 each for SSR ones
  7. Chur brew. Then a set of VIP wheels, lowered till it scrapes on cats eyes, manual conversion, then go drifting! Post vids! Team lolvo drift.
  8. They would fit the oem bushings. They are soft as.they would just compress in there. Better of just trying it yourself.
  9. Why embarrassed? I stopped comparing my car to gtrs or s15s. There is no point. You have to start of thinking you have a wagon! I can do say, 80% of what a gtr can do. But I can still carry a couch in the back when I want to, and I don't get stalked by cops everyday. That's a win, to me.
  10. Oh, you have a pm35. You need a turbo. That is all.
  11. 10-40w Something decent like a grade 4 or 5 oil. People all run different things, and you'll get some brand recommendations. If your DIY inclinded, the dd motors are prone to carboning up the intake. There is a thread about dd motors and how to clean the top end Manifolds in them. Have a search. And look at the pics.
  12. I believe its based in the ABS computer, not the engine ECU. I don't know of a manual way to see error codes, but I'd just hook up my cipher cable/laptop if you were in sydney. Maybe one of the general code reader that mechanics have can read ABS too?
  13. You've inspired me to get mine ship shape tomorrow. Going to take em off, do a check over, splash of paint, and hopefully find the reason for vibration I've been getting.
  14. Nice, wondered when it was going to hit the shelves. Bugger you can't make it...... To the engagement that is
  15. Well... guess I'll go on the prowl for spares tonight
  16. Wheres a pic of yours? I thought it was this week or last week, no?
  17. Nein- what sav man said. From what I've heard/saw last year, its pretty much a Supertaxi chassis with the struts and stuff to make it eligible to compete. Plus a 4 speed! Should sound great down the main straight, but not be an outright contender.
  18. Are you more satisfied as a spectator and/or enthusiast with a pass done under DRS, or a pass done under brakes? Or don't care either way? I disagree that it would have been "done with ease" if they didn't have DRS. Thats the whole point of the bloody system- more passes = more "entertainment" for the masses. Anyway- what the hell went wrong with Schumachers wing!? And why did they send him back out of the pits with the wing open after the muppets jumped on it and the thing still wouldn't close!?
  19. As much as this sounds funny, the same size in two different brands are not exactly the same size. Try pumping up or letting down the bridgestone and see if it has any effect. That is not a permanant solution obviously, but might give you some evidence.
  20. Memory might be a bit hazy then - its there on your car.We came to the conclusion that the stripped bolt was the one in the Chassis (thats what OP confirmed) at the rear end of #15.If that is the cause of his clonk/squeak - I'm not that confident. There are a lot of things under there that can squeak! And I bet more than one set of bushes are history, after him saying that he drives on very rough roads.
  21. ^ +1 Being Chin and watching someone pass you with DRS down the straight must be sad. Then when your behind the next lap, pop the DRS and still make no ground on them because your car is so slow in a straight line The RBR cars are quick - quali proves that, but when all the passing seems to be done with DRS, it doesn't seem to be the right weapon. The Lotus with the frog engine seems fast, so its obviously in the RBR design.
  22. Spotted a Gold M35 ARX today in Chatswood, about 145pm Had a huge dent in the LHS rear quarter that someone beat out with a hammer. I think I remember one having a motorcyclist crash into it, was it this one?
  23. Must be pretty trick. They get a bit twitchy and take your plate#, boot you out if you don't have the right cage/chute/gear at those speeds.
  24. Grew up with Rovers- P6B mainly, went through about 3 or 4 of them, then onto the honda rovers - quintet, 416, 827, and still has a 75. There was a daimler sovereign (like the 420 compact), a Mark1 Jag, nut and bolt (over 20 years...lol) resto on a MG A, MG Magnette was a bit before my memory, and finally he still has the early MGB GT, that his father bought new in England in good original condition. He has a NA MX5 these days for the topless fun, all the joy of the MGA, without the pain.
