Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...
PN-Mad replied to WAGON_BOY's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
this is a screen shot of what I mean. These are factory values. Imagine a car ramping up right to the far right side of the table. Then you drop big injectors in and the car reduces to a base fuel schedule max of 12.00. See what values you get then? torque management screenshot.docx -
Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...

Injectors- the smallest possible size that still achieves your power goal, and provides a decent amount of head room. Will explain. Yup, you'll need custom suction pipe for sure- I believe Scotty has done a few by now The 3.5:1 final drives will make your car more drivable, reduce gearbox strain, and make it go faster Gearbox- well, depends how you drive it I think. If you want to go hard all the time, or track it, then I think you'll need to build the box. If you want a cruiser with the occasional squirt, as long as it survives the dyno, it'll probably be fine. As long as you can get it up on stall / boost for a launch. Fuel pump, there is a few 300l/min drop ins available now- you'd have to figure out if they are any good. New set of plugs, if you haven't done em lately Maybe set of electric fans to ditch the clutch fan, and gain more controllability over temps Maybe oil cooler - same remarks as gearbox build really. So, injectors. When you tune these things, the factory computer has a table called torque management. In simple terms, it tells the gearbox what pressure to run at set RPM on one axis and base fuel schedule on the other. When you drop in bigger injectors, this has a radical effect on the base fuel schedule calculation- reducing it. What that means is that the car will never see the areas of the map where the factory has programmed a higher line pressure for a better change. You'll only get lower line pressure, and therefore slower shifts. Unfortunately there is no way to change this on the cursed NM35 ECU. So, instead of going 1000cc injectors, get something that will see your power goal, but not reduce BFS so much that you drop out of the higher pressure areas of the table. ok? -
Will Stock M35 Stagea Wheels Fit My C34 Series 2
PN-Mad replied to David_j_p's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
+1 will fit. Do it. Hellanowherenearflush is the new hellaflush. -
On topic, saw a Yellow 458 this afternoon on Pennant Hills road. Looked great. Demir collection seems to have updated a few things- Has a R35 now, and a newer SL63. Still got the F430, Murcielago, S65, and a hummer, and I've prob missed something as well. Kujotk, that Koenigsegg is still hanging around. Came up in conversation at work the other day.

Watch out, or I might have to teach you a lesson with my rare optioned feather duster... (so wish I had one.) Not getting worked up, just want some actual progress on V's with cool parts not- I haz a flare... cool bro, I haz flare too http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/293993-m35-stagea-sales-brochures-books/page__view__findpost__p__4908287 This is the stagea options catalogue, there would be some crossover between the two, but who can find a V35 option brochure? Oh, and I have a new personal Fav. - Powered Jack KKC935 Tyre changing like a boss.... -

Yes, Flares are suppose to be removed for compliance. But they are fitted to every freaking Jap car- hardly what you'd call a "rare V-series" part. ETC is built into most of these cars too, and most cars in Japan. So who has KF20A0 = Front Camera? I know of one PNM35 Stagea with them on the way over from J land. -

Oh FFS. Can't let this go on. ETC and a Flare are NOT rare options- k? http://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/cpv35/6827-vq35de/misc/ Here is the list of factory options. You can figure out if they are rare or not. I would say the Feather duster, and life hammer would be a start at getting rare. I have Factory Remote control engine starter. k - go. -
Thank the son of rajab Peugeot isn't racing. Being beaten by an Audi doesn't sound half as embarrassing as being beaten by a Pug.

Matic J is the way to go. You'll need 2x 5 L for the full gearbox / Converter (will have a little left over). From memory mine was ~$60 for 5 litres. Matic D is to be avoided. Nulon full synth is also an option. I didn't use it.

So wanted to take the car on this- never done this drive. Had to stay because we were going to the neighbours place for lunch.Except they got pissed last night and cancelled mid morning. *sigh* Putty Road in April better have a good turn out!

Post A Pic Of Your Stagea Thread
PN-Mad replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I like it too Dale! How much power? Is this the one that we got a couple of teaser shots from with the engine build? My only wish would be some larger profile tyres to fill up the guards a bit, and I'd say I'd want some decent rubber under me when your going to put that snail into action- not Achilles! -
I can bring the lower ramp on area off Closed loop as a target, and then add fuel. Any area in the target map where it says 14.7 the ECU will trim or add fuel to compensate. As soon as it pops out of 14.7 to another area, compensation gets pegged at 100% and the table compensates. Really its a job for the tuner. While I understand the process, I'm not that confident in my ability, and tuners have a better "feel" for the process. Still doesn't get to the root of my hunting idle.
-
Well, got the O2 sensors back in today. The car is doing my head in a bit now. First thing I noticed is that the idle hunts when its hot. But only when its in park or neutral. When its in drive its steady. Next thing I notice is that there is a lot of pinging in the mid to low range at load- IE coming on boost. I think its trying to trim too much fuel out of there, or the timing is too advanced there with the O2 sensors in. So- I have left the O2 sensors plugged in but changed the target fuel table off 14.7 so the ECU doesn't use them to trim. Back to open loop. The Idle, well, thats a bit of a mystery. I had a crack at it this arvo- this is what I found. Now the Idle is a little lower (I performed idle re-learn, and the closed loop lowers the idle too) it has more vacuum, and has brought on the hunting. When in gear, there is a little more load on the motor, and less vacuum- no hunting. To go with the hunting, the ECU was compensating by dumping fuel in at idle- the compensation went from 100 %to 120% and dropped just as sharply. I found if I block off the PCV then the hunting appears to disappear. I've only tried this on open loop at the moment. Will have to change the mapping /flash again to get it back into closed loop... I took out the PCV. It seemed OK, I could suck through it the correct way, when I blew through it, it offered a fair level of resistance, but did pass some air through- didn't completely seal. Its that how it should be or should it seal 100%? Thoughts?

I think U1000 is grounding points- check in the battery box, and some locations under the dash have grounds onto the steering rack- I bet that s close to your problem. Also the grounds in the engine bay. Search google, and you'll find a service bulletin about it.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
PN-Mad replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
As I said, I like them. Hopefully you'll be free for a Sydney Stagea meet, when I get off my ass and organise one. I'd love to have a good look over it. -

Iain, so pretty much what your trying to tell me is that you bought a Bugatti, but you paid 45 gees for it. nah, I like them actually. -
So, most of us M35ers know the Takero cars... but what I never realised is that.... they friggin HKS Turbo'd it! Awesome- I think its RWD though, so thats cheating....

+1 on Old Pac Hwy. Was on a Z Club Cruise when they went past- at least whoever was driving the F430 had the decency to slow, drop a couple of gears and give it a little squirt!

Touched a nerve...? Glass bottom comments to come....? We'll just have to shoot them down the 1/4. Then we can compare numbers/traps. WSID coming up...? Picked up a O2 sensor today- $171. Not bad for a wideband factory item, straight from Nissan. I would have I'd have to prepare the lube for this one. Will chuck it in when I get a chance, and see whats going on with this closed loop business. BTW Nissan have changed their oil filters. New Part # is 15208-7M600- its a blue body, not made in Japan any more, I think its Thai. Still factory oil filter though. Also want to do another Sydney Stagea meet up- what do people think. The one we had in Lane cove was a success, 15 or so cars, maybe we could go on a cruise this time? Thoughts? Northside to Palm Beach?
