Well, did a little bit more on the car today...The ECU harness is now out of Medium/well done territory, heat wrapped and out of the way of the exhaust, as are whatever else could be moved from the back of the motor. Re-assembled the coolant piping, and trial fitted the intake which looks good. Bad news is that the Fabricator is in Fiji until next week, so that slows process down. In the mean time I'd like to sort out the rest of the intake, intercooler, and whatever bits and pieces are left over. Cannot fit exhaust - will need fabrication. Also try and dump my ECU for sending over to Abbey motorsports for Uprev. Its going to be dyno'd RWD, on 98 (there is no E85 within 40kms of me....) Power- we'll just have to see. 240rwkw would be nice... but who knows. Thats what a 350z that had the kit just got. Dynos can read so differently, its more about how it drives- and I suspect it will be a torque monster!

When attempting difficult jobs, its important to be precise and organised.... Trial fit Is it getting heavy yet? I'll just take moar pics.... The Manifold- couldn't fit a fart up there its so tight... Ready for a manifold on the drivers side- Except this one has a bit of Daleo Magic in it! Craigs fav. work-zone: Turbo, gate, washers and beer Looking a bit bare... What turbo officer...? That ends it for now.

Finished for today. We're both stuffed.Manifolds on, crossover pipe , heat shield on. Turbo on and tight. Intake on. O2 sensors on and heat proofing in lots of places. Oil and water feeds to turbo done, have to do returns. Need to fabricate turbo outlet piping, and exhaust from where the gate goes in needs to be extended. I'll post some pics tomorrow when I'm not exhausted! Big thanks to Craig for putting in the lions share of work, and Dale for fixing up a boo boo last night, even at a BBQ! Both legends, and can't thank you guys enough. On a note, never put your hand up to change v35/350z headers, not in a million years!

Spotted a White ARX with a Cruise control grill driving westbound along Epping road, Sydney this arvo, about 415pm. Gave a wave... but didn't look like I was seen.

Bang a Gong, We are ON! Some boring stuff - front bar off, intake fully disassembled, 2x under trays off, and WD40'd all the exhaust heat shield bolts + exhaust nuts. Photo taken of VQ25det turbo vs HKS GT3037 Back to work tomorrow morning. Oh, and finally got my UPREV cable

Nice mate. Give you any decent gains NA? What mods? The turbo kit is going in this weekend- I'll try to get some updates in the evenings with some pics if I can

Not quite correct. And the thread doesn't specifically say "p plater only" My Stagea is a VQ35de, not on the banned list. Elgrands aren't on the ban list, and Maximas with the VQ35 motor are ok for p platers too... The V35 was only added later after the 350z was on the list. Not that I care, been a long time since I had provisionals.

VQ35.Great motor. Improved over production life, makes rbs look and feel agricultural. Bit tricky with the ecu and can bus. Great exhaust note. Power and response. Makes Honda fan bois cry...

Rush hour in Adelaide... -
What do you fill up with? And what kind of economy are we talking about here? Auto or manual? I have a daily Mazda 323, it's a 1.8. Manual. Filled up last night, and calculated 6.7 litres per 100 km. that's comuting, but being holidays traffic isn't bad. I use 95 at the pump, and have increased the static timing to compensate, to the point where I don't have pre det. I also removed the centre muffler, not cause full hectic, but cause it was forever leaking. Made nil difference in econ. Also noticed you live in tassie. Roads can be pretty mountainous round those parts, so factor that into your economy. Other things that come to mind, do you do lost of short trips? That increases fuel use. Check your idle is within manufacturers stds, adjust if needed. Other than that, what Marc said about afm and O2 sensor.

Lol. Traffic in Adelaide? Wat? -
Back in ya Box! The way things are going, I'm not going to be going down the track - won't have a tune. But could wreck it for others by covering track with oil and conrods...

Ever come across some car on the net that made you uncontrollably giggle like a little school girl...? I had that experience tonight at work. Was surfing along, quiet as at work... then BAM! Rocky Auto S30 with dry carbon panels, a RB30D (yep, 3 litre, with a RB26 head, and 3 duel throat CARBS!) Now, I've seen Rocky auto stuff featured before, but it hasn't done much for me in the past. Anyways, the car is currently FOR SALE for about 13 million JPY. So if any of you buggers picked up the new years lottery... buy this...NOW! http://www.modified....-z/viewall.html -
Its activated by holding down one of the buttons and then toggling up or down on the .... well, toggle thingo. Up to 5 maps, so you could have power, econ, and a valet map with speed limiter set to 25km/h / 2000rpm, Or a kill map so the car wont move anywhere. Got to figure out if this systenm works yet, and tune it, so count me out for a little while on the buttons, but down the track I might get some

Early 2012 Meet'n Greet/cruise
PN-Mad replied to Howaitonaito's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Nope. OP- I know you have duplicated this topic all over the forum. Could I make the suggestion of firming up some details ie Location, date and time, Cars welcome, cruise directions etc, and post them in the NSW events section. Make sure you say its a "non official SAU" cruise, and illegal behaviour won't be tolerated (ie speedz and skidz) . Just put the link at the bottom of each of these topics. I'd love to meet with other M35s V35s Z33s, and anything else Nautically inspired that wants to tag along- just get on top of the organisation of this. -

Your right, Fuel gauges are very inaccurate. This is caused by (trying to remember) a build up of gunk on the runners in the sender unit which is in the fuel tank. I'm sure if you search round the nets, there will be a DIY. But word of advice, if you give it a go, makesure the car has 3/4 of a tank of fuel OR LESS. Don't do it just after filling up. The trip computer works off the level of the tank too. So that will explain why you have a bad reading. Statrt a fresh- fill it, zero the odo, drive, re-fill and do calculations. I bet your right on the money. ECU reset- Disconnecting the battery won't do a thing. It remembers the settings. You can leave it disconnected for a month of sundays, and it won't make a difference. Sonicii is correct, you can reset via consult, however there is also a manual method that has been mentioned a number of times. Its a combination of turning car on and pumping accl pedal. CEL will flash to acknowledge. Its also how you can check error codes. I'd recommend resetting ECU every time you do a major modification (exhaust/spacer etc) to let the ECU re-learn the parameters. The ECU is smarter than what most people expect. Do a search, something will come up for the exact procedure. You can also reset the idle if your idle is out of 650rpm + - 50 -

Need More Power From Vq25Dd
PN-Mad replied to Howaitonaito's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Bolt-on turbo skyline NV35 powerless skyline as NV35 say VQ25DD with 2500cc, is it was very feeble 5AT direct injection type engine We like to run fairly or bolt-on turbo Maybe a little too large turbines. Wrap most of the main control CPU, using an e-managed enough fuel, 足Shimashita with additional injectors Unlike the twin-turbo and NA of the normal twin, in a heterogeneous CPU nameparameter is very difficult. How much to go to the normal power injector? While we explore setting Blow off valve e Managed turbine TRUST T618Z APEX Power Intake catalytic muffler Original AT cooler intercooler oil cooler BLITZ D-SBCid Ⅲ 0.83 → 0.68kg/cm2 boost 221.3ps 30.3kgm Power Check Chart picture Phoenix Power Jp There you go. Turbo VQ25DD. Expect 220hp. Sorry about the Japlish. Edit- read- the Turbos too big, The stock ECU controls everything except we bunged an emanage in there, it was f-ing hard work compared to the twin turbo/VQ35des we do every other day. We don't have any injectors to add more fuel, so we just hope these flow enough so your motor doesn't blow up- we bunged in an extra one cause it works with rotarys... and it only made 220hp. Lets go back to the R35 GTR now... -

A clean MAF is always good, but if the MAF was bad, the car wouldn't rev beyond 3000rpm or so anyway. -

Thats no good mate. Have you actually checked your conspumption by measuring what you pout into it, not just the trip computer? just do a simple zero of the trip meter when you fill up, and take note of how much it takes to fill it up next time.Causes of bad consumption could be bad o2 sensors, or a idle problem. You could reset the ecu and see if that makes a difference. -
No, No , No.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Too soon!!! Doubt I'll have my car sorted by then
