  1. Topic should read "- brilliant, from the front!" Dat ass, it's just not doing it for me
  2. I'm going to lock in broken exhaust stud/s. Documented RB25 issue over time. The release in torque on the manifold could have introduced air into the exhaust on over-run, causing the unburnt fuel to ignite with the extra presence of oxygen.
  3. All 3.5 stageas got the same motor as a 2003 350z 2006 350z received the "revup" motor, that would be 95% similar, but had some changes. Models after that got the vq35hr which is significantly different.
  4. And make sure you get parts reference from a 2003 350z They got some engine changes in 2006 I seem to recall.
  5. Yes, 350z parts are fine to use, I don't know about the fwd maxima. Now, the only way to fix the plug tube leak is to buy a whole plastic cam cover, which is a pretty expensive fix. If you not talking about a lot of oil, and it isn't coming from the outside of the valve cover (that seal is replaceable), then it's best just to leave it alone. It doesn't effect any performance, as it's an insulator.
  6. I would use the Castrol, just because that's what I've been recommended through award gearbox. They weren't very positive about the Nulon product, however that was more to do with how the product reacts to excessive heat. I've got some nulon in the open diff in the stagea, it hasn't blown up yet... Lol however I dumped it out of the 180.
  7. Not that I want to take away from precision, because I understand they do some good work. But an informed decision is a good decision, so you should have a look at the hypergear thread in FI. He has just about tried every type of hi flow combination known to man on RB25s. It appears a fair bit cheaper than what you've been quoted too.
  8. Theo doesn't have much weight to lose! Looks like a pretty serious beginning to fuel supply. Braps like the juice!
  9. Very nice. Have a read of the couple of pnm35 build threads on here for an idea of what you can do!
  10. Necro bump! Found these again in my garage. Cheap Upgrade for R32 gtst owners! $150 Could fit them for a case of beer too, if your a bit useless on the tools.
  11. This is off topic, cause it's in my 180sx track car, but it's a fixed back Velo. Yeah Dale, it's stiff as. Doesn't have the movement it did before, and feels a lot more positive.
  12. Yep, sweet fit. Little tweak to get the plate angle sorted, and a little filing, but it's back in and I'm happy that it's safe Thanks for the help!
  13. Finished those Squires already...?!
  14. Sorry, "easy" one Autocorrected.
  15. Nice work mate. That's an away one we've seen before!!
  16. I think there is only one in there. Front back side whatever, I can't remember! But I think it's more likely the foot well one. The muck clogs the drain at the bottom of the guard. Have a good look around, and report back.
  17. Oh, I geddit. It's been absolutely pissing rain down in Syd. I bet you've got water in one of your fuse boxes. Check behind the batter, and also in the bottom of the RHS drivers footwell. Make sure all drain holes are clean and clear, and leave the covers off for a while to dry it out.
  18. Battery That's where you start. How old is it, does it have good earth?
  19. Don't rely on a pedders check for the bushes. Get it worked over by some reputable. Like wholesale susp down in penrith. Maybe we could get the thread moved to Motorsport builds, or just general project / builds section Will be looking on with interest.
  20. Yeah, I bet it's fun in the wet today. I remember when mine was turbo and rwd, anything below 4th would light it up on a wet surface.
  21. Nice one dude. Hope to see it at the track sometime!
  22. Ummmm... What's the Subaru outback doing out there with this car....?
