  1. Least he knows who's his is....
  2. Lol, sight unseen... What did you expect exactly? Anyway, scroll a bit further down the page, and there is a section called projects, overhauls and build ups. This is the right section for your thread, a helpful admin might move it, or you might just be better starting a fresh in there, as this will be closed by an admin eventually. Welcome, and good luck with your project!
  3. I use the stands on the front subframe, I wouldn't use chassis rails. 5litres does the job. If you're buying the oil in a 5 litre bottle, just empty it and no need to check! Since I'm buying 20 litres now, it's a bit of a pita...
  4. The only thing I'll upgrade to is a FX50 when prices become a but more reasonable. That's providing that it fits vertically in my garage.

  6. Funny thing is Mick, if it was a pedestrian on that intersection, I think now they changed the law that the motorist is required to stop and give way. Bikes, I'm not too sure about!? Anyway, I don't think he is legally allowed to be riding on the footpath since he is over 12 years of age.
  7. Big service day today on the Stagea. Decided to give it some love, since while it's been washed and cleaned regularly, I've just been doing the oil and filter recently. So, did an oil and filter change using nissan filter, and GW Synx6000. Put synthetic nulon 75w90 in the front and rear diffs, and some nulon synthetic in the transfer case. While under the back, I noticed it's been driving round without a rear sway bar for quite some time.... It's suffered the dreaded upgrade sway bar, snap bracket syndrome. Anyway, I got my hands on some upgrade steel brackets that Daleo made a while back and put the rear bar back together! Needless to say, it's a bit nicer handling now.... Lol! So M35 owners with upgraded swaybars, get under your car and CHECK your brackets!!!
  8. I think there are extremes on both sides. I have done more than average kms on a pushbike over my lifetime. Bike riders have to take some responsibility for their actions. You cut up the inside of a cement truck, things are going to get bad for you. Not obeying traffic signs, and pulling out in front turning in front of a bus, your going to get squished. That's just the fact. Yet some of the bike lobby will continue to jump up and down everytime there is an incident like this, saying everyone in a metal death box wants to kill cyclists. There are actually laws in place about cyclists riding recklessly, or being a hazard on the road. The arrogance of some who choose to ride two abreast when there is a marked cycle lane amaze me. On the other hand there are car / truck drivers who should be ashamed of themselves, and should rightfully have to face harsher penalties. Young girl comes to mind who "doesn't care" that she hit a cyclist. Those other awful stories about drivers plowing into groups of cyclists. Now I confess, if I get stuck behind a cyclist in peak hour, I can get frustrated. But it's a responsibility to pass safely. It's only going to take you the equilivent of a set of lights to wait and get round safely. I don't care about rego or licences. Everyone who does rides regularly knows the rules, and those that break them, choose to do so and must face the consequences. Licence or testing isn't going to stop them. The long catch cry is "share the road", cyclists need to remember this too.
  9. Ànd we would kill for the pricing you guys get on you're cars! Luxo cars often cost double if not more in Aust compared to the US. I know I'd jump into a E55/63 wagon if I was over there!
  10. Up. Always stored wrapped up, and off the ground. Come on guys, throw an offer, rear tyres were $260ea....!

  12. Figure out if it's a blocked line or blocked caliper first. Take the line off the caliper and gently see if you can get fluid through. Then you isolate either line or caliper Good work!
  13. Strange to be an airlock, considering he hasn't touched the master, only take off some calipers and replaced them. You didn't let the master run dry anytime? Try going back to the rears and bleeding them again. Thought process is to make sure the piston isn't stuck within the master.
  14. I have a Bell RS1, full face, but I don't use a visor. I'll have some of these pills, and report back how many sessions I make next time on the track, and if any side effects.
  15. Yup! sounds like you've put them on correctly. People install them with the nipples pointed down, and wonder why they can't get the air out.... The pistons moving freely within the caliper? They aren't all jammed and gummy inside?
  16. Nipples pointed up on both calipers? Wouldn't be the first or the last to install them upside down.
  17. Hi Guys, For Sale I have a set of four Driftek (I think) TE37 replica wheels with semi slicks. Great setup to take to your first track day, or if your looking for a setup your not too fussed about! 17x8 +34 with Bridgestone RE55S 235/45-R17 17x9 +35 with Nitto NT-01 255/40-R17 5x114.3 The front tyres are pretty much had it. You could get a couple more days out of them if you aren't serious or just learning the ropes, but if you want times, they need replacing. I've kept them alive with "Grip" tyre softener. Still good to get round wakefield in 1:10s for me. The rears are nice and soft, have heaps of tread left, and grip up nice when warmed No Flat Spots. The wheels have some gutter rash, they aren't new. They are track wheels. I've inspected and cleaned them after every track day, obviously no cracks/welds or buckles. Don't tell me about fake wheels - these have taken everything I have thrown at them and done it easy. You want Rays - Go buy Rays. Good for all S chassis / R chassis RWD cars. Fronts will fit over every OEM style brakes (280-296mm sumitomos, 324mm Brembos) Pick up Northern Burbs of Sydney Alex - 0431090240 / PM on SAU. $750 ONO (thats Or Near Offer...) Next is a PAIR of Bridgestone Playz (JDM) 225/40/19 tyres. These are good as skid/drift tyres only (thats what I'm selling them as anyway) They have cracks in the sidewall of the tyre, but plenty of tread left for skids. $20 or a 6 pack of beer.
  18. R30 RS. http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/72181/unusual-80s-inch-wheels-nissan
  19. Your not going to blow it up, it's just got going start single spinning like a dirty VS commo. This would chirp carparks like a Baws, and we know you like hardparkin carparks.
  20. Well done... But the difference is on the inside, not the stud pattern. Vlsd have three sets of splines, open, two. You should buy it. It would rip skids. The vlsd isn't going to last behind the LS.
  21. I'm not interested, but for people who are, what does the Diff suit? Open and VLSD output shafts are different, so the diff that it came out of was originally a ............?
  22. I went and talked to the pharmacy, and walked away with some travelcalm. It has the same active ingredient as Kwells, but with some caffine as well to combat the drowsiness. I haven't found myself to be drowsy before on it, but suppose it's a good precaution. I'll try it out next track day and report back
  23. Are you going the freeway or the old highway?
  24. It's where copper anti seize comes into play! It makes for heaps more work cleaning wheels and shit for the weekend, but it makes sure that you don't have stuck nuts I watched the R32 running today, looks absolutely awesome out on track. Unfortunately looks like a few mechanical issues with blow by and oil, and a few fresh water hoses needed, but I reckon you guys will be on top of them soon enough! Good work out there today!
  25. Double it.... The Sierra does up to 600nm, and the GTR was a heap more again, probably like 8-900
