Yup, Scott and I have been chatting away about setups... We only revved it to about 7300rpm if that helps. It's not too laggy, but it does catch me out now and then on the track getting out of corners. It's mainly a track car.
-
While we are on Sr results, I can't remember if I shared this in here or not. Rps13 S14 motor, with VCT active. Gtx3071 0.82, 6boost, 44mm tial, un1cams. Boosts are 16/18psi Stock motor, incl head gasket, and it's on p98.

Well, if you think you found it, the next step is to clean the area with degreaser, and then watch what happens and see where it's leaking from.
-
Most common issue with burning oil smell is the cam covers leaking onto manifolds, and in particular around the turbo area. Have a look for smoke / oily dampness round the rear of the engine bay passenger side. will be fixed by replacing the seal around the cover.

Ohhh man, does that mean I have to get in the car with "Binary Foot"? I'll bring some gear just in case. -

Official S A U - N S W Swap Meet, Coffee And Cars

You mean get there at 7:30 and not have coffee till 11:30...... Ummmmmmm yes please with the earlier!!! -
Two other points. You're placing all of your faith in sound shot off camera phones and goPros. Ever listened back to a recording off one of those and thought it sounded exactly like the real thing? Also, RBs sound completely different. A 26 doesn't sound like a 25, which doesn't sound like a 30.
-
It's not ricey, but it is pretty stupid. You've chosen your turbo and manifold. You want to run straight through exhaust. But you want to make your car sound like those? Well, does that mean your willing to change turbos, manifolds, wastegate size for the sound? If so, then spend your time emailing the people who own the cars in the vids and ask their setup, instead of playing guessing games on a forum. If not, put your flaming car together with a 3.5 inch exhaust, fabrication which means you can either plumb back or vent to atmosphere the wastegates. Then go drive it!
-
Just vent the wastegates to atmosphere, and you'll get that obnoxiously loud sound.

While you take a piss, I'm going to fk with all your susp settings and pressures so you have the best chance of actually hooking it up. But yes, Friday is the day you stop driving like a p plate V6 commodore driver... -
Large straight exhaust, a large-ish turbo upgrade and tubular manifold (gt3076/td06etc) external wastegate with screamer pipe.

Ken, I'll give you a couple of tips. If asking a v35 question, go to the v35 section. It will get answered quicker, and there is a great search function that would have answered your question if you used it. Second. Nothing stirs "keyboard warriors" up like someone who try's to act tough over the internet. Nobody cares you're a bouncer. This is a car forum, not an nightclub. Leave the attitude behind. Welcome, I hope you find the information on v35s helpful.

Anyone know streaming or timing details?
-
Maybe..... I've used both. Except the torque wrench has a multiplier so you don't look like this!!! I preferred the gun when it's set right!
-
Lol, that's different. Think they could get themselves a rattle gun....
-
Search G35 ecu code reset. It's a series of accl pedal movements. Not hard to find.

Cheers guys, a bit concerned about the side effects, but I guess I'll just load up and see if it does effect me before trying on a game day.

2013 Nissan Pulsar St-L Idle Hunting
PN-Mad replied to YoungMoney's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeah, 106000kms, maybe build up on the throttle, but not 6k kms. Take it back and make em fix it. Direct injection motors and EGR motors are terrible for intake and plenum crud. -
Turbo and injectors I'd get here. I wouldn't even bother with a second hand unknown stuff from Japan. Go read up on 25 results in the forced induction section. Go to some autobacs (like a auto store, but with heaps of second hand stuff too), and see if you can get some cool rare little things.

Well, the AC was ditched a long time ago, so don't have to worry about that! For me it's half way through the day, say 3 or 4 sessions in that it becomes an issue and I feel my performance dropping off. For anyone who has suffered seasickness, they know how debilitating it can be. I can only imagine formula racing where the Gees are 4x what I'm experiencing, how that must feel. Might go have a chat to a friendly pharmacist.

I have a fixed back Velo, and 4pt harness. I can't move anywhere. Thanks for the suggestions, Dale. Will try to implement some of them.

Hahaha, yeah, dunno how rally navs do it! The car is ok, it's defiantly not a suspension issue. I feel it most when braking hard into a corner. Feels like my insides are being re-arranged. I'm going to ask the instructors if there is anything I can do when I do the next day.
