  1. This was thought too! An all skyline team, in the skyline club; preposterous!!!
  2. I wouldn't bother with the temps at the hillclimb. You're not going to get them warm enough to gather decent data, and by the time you make it back to the staging area, they are going to be cooled of any heat you did make. Did he show you how to take temps?
  3. Working for the man unfortunately so won't make it. Sounds like a great tech arvo too, well done guys.
  4. What amazing depth of quality cars in our club! (Except maybe that nugget GTT... Jks . ) Good luck guys, take it easy up there, live to race another day.
  5. Even if they did, probably have the time to get the bike out the garage and chase them down.
  6. So you own a nismo 400r, you going to rip out the computer and put a microleb in it, and some BC coilovers?
  7. If it was a high value collectable model/ limited production models I'd keep it stock. Ie, N1, Nismo versions, LM etc. Maybe just add some nismo value adders. If it's a garden variety model, I'd feel free to go nuts if I wanted.
  8. Audi S4 / RS4 is getting to that price point. Can be had in wagon version. M3 as mentioned, but also V10 M5s can be had, also Z4M coupes. 370z You can buy a lot of car for 50k, or you can get a focus.... Also 135/335 BMWs, the earlier twin turbo models are stronger than the later twin scroll.
  9. Hi Boz, Sent you an email regarding booking a one on one for the 28th May, just wondering if you received that? Hope to get the morning 1/2. Thanks mate.
  10. Annnnnnd they decide it's too wet again. Fkrs. Wonder about all this electricity and rain. With all the failures, reckon these things are safe in the wet...?
  11. As I watch the cars line up for Q2 all but one on full wets.... Lol.
  12. You have 30 something seconds per lap of available electric power. It is now preprogrammed rather than driver activated. Theory would be that the quicker that you can reach a high speed then the lower the lap time. Therefore the most optimum time to use it is when accelerating out of slow speed corners. I guess the teams have a algorithm to use on every circuit to figure out the best possible use of the mixmaster. I remember the radio calls last year telling the driver to try the kers in different parts of the circuit to gain an advantage over the car in front. Anyway, looks like we'll see some wheels turning soon.
  13. Row, row, row your Merc.... Looks like a good ole Malysian arvo. Should pass, but provide some entertainment again as the track drys.
  14. Harrow guys, Anybody interested in heading out 7th April, Monday, so should be nice and quiet...
  15. Yup, thought so! Good to hear it's fixed.
  16. Sure. I have a boost tee that looks like it went down with the titanic before getting brought back up. That's what you want...... Right....?
  17. Making up a wee little list of things to take
  18. They may well have dropped the sensor or hit it hard. Dump pipes are not the easiest thing to get off as a first timer....
  19. Well, for a start, the Silvia BM was the wrong direction. They run a higher level of rear pressure before bias is stabilised. Nissans run 0.4 rear to front as a rule I've read. I can't say I have the same issue. I have r32 gtr calipers on mine, with restrictors removed, and it brakes fine. Had it on the track, and didn't notice any terrible front or rear bias.
  20. Saw a red/maroon adm today, corner of Mona vale road, pittwater road, Mona vale. Looked stock, stock wheels, height. Number plate started with CHQ or something similar, lady was driving. Anyone know the car?
  21. Allow refueling and whatever power you want to run. This current rule set is silly. If f1 were the green ambassador that it jinks it is, they wouldn't be flying 1000s of tons of equipment round the world on 747s. I don't know when it became about fuel conservation, but I don't like it.
  22. Eh!? Tell him to buy a shitter shell to put a 26 in. This is way to awesome to wreck!
  23. Maybe I missed it, but has anyone just said to unbolt the plumb back section of the ext gate? Would take about 5 mins at the workshop, run the car up and see what happens. You're bypassing the exhaust then. I bet your car will be happier. Now, obviously you don't want that for the road if your daily driving it, but it's going to give you an indication. From my experience, I have a true 3 inch exhaust, a "high flowed" cat, when my gate is plumbed back power drops from 289kw to 272kw with nil change in boost.
  24. Yeah, it kept driving on 5/6 but through heaps of oil down the exhaust for obvious reasons. Just a little crank case pressure issue.
