  1. Well, it was a big field for the VHRR historics at Phillip Island. I think 42 cars started in the grp A and C category! Jetwreck drove the RS500 really well, and we had a lot of learning to do about the car, seeing I saw it first time Thursday! We quali into 4th, where Craig got a lesson in rolling starts from Jim Richards, who was next to him, in the HR31 The RS500 finished all the races in fours place. A great effort considering the lack of time driver and crew have had with the car The GIO GTR had a brilliant weekend with Terry Lawlor behind the wheel, quali first, and while he was made to work for it, made a clean sweep of the races.
  2. lol, I don't believe us dyno figures at all. Most of it is just bs. It's extraordinarily easy to give a inflated dyno sheet. Where it stops is when you find mph figure on a quarter slip. Compare with them.
  3. Don't beat yourself up, a dyno is a comparative tool only. You can't compare to people on different dynos. Go clock a quarter mile, post your mph, and I bet you're no slower than any other car with the same mods.
  4. Sorry, just like any merc or Subaru wagon these days. Only cause she drives an import
  5. Unfortunately lots of Australia, or in my case Sydney, is not like this. You are guilty by association and need to be dealt with harshly. I had my pregnant wife pulled over in a stagea and grilled about window tint, when the car isn't tinted, it is factory privacy glass juat
  6. Yeah Dunc, there is a wrapped flat black one in Sydney Dunno if owner is on here, never been to any of our meets.
  7. Ok cool. Let me know what you find with the plug, cause I'm guessing I'll have to get one.
  8. Does it effect the front to rear bias, or is it the same as running a 3 port one?
  9. Because pushing 12 pistons instead of 4..... Need a bit more than a bm44.
  10. Ah, piece of piss then, just make a longer hose, and end it in one of those bottles you seem to use ...
  11. Not that fussed tbh. It's lived doing track days like this for a long time... Doubt I'll break it. What does the r200 have for a breather? Anyway, next up for me is a bigger bmc.
  12. Remember mine is a r180 not a r200 The breather is just a little pressure release button tucked in behind the back of the subframe. Not an easy thing do sort in the car tbh.
  13. I've already dropped the subframe once... not too keen on bothering doing it again. 50mls looks like a lot when its spread on the outside - I'm not too concerned Probably only noticed it since I de-greased and pressure washed the subframe since I had it out.
  14. The rear of my car was covered in diff oil after my 3 sessions at SMSP GP. Nothing too bad, bit on the subframe, and spots on the back. I just figure its self leveling
  15. Thanks Charles, I pretty much came to that conclusion after my own searching tonight! The BM50 would probably be better, but runs a hefty price as a non abs. Being a rps13, mine has a bm44, so it's better than the early models bm33, but I don't think they are up to the brembo fronts and twin piston rears. So I think I might give the 57 a go- cheap and easy to get in Non abs.
  16. Eh, looks like I'm fkd. Yours is abs, has two ports. Mine is non abs, so has 3 ports, so finding a larger bmc is much harder/ expensive...
  17. Does your car have abs? I'm thinking I need to upgrade mine (s13 bmc, brembo fnt, r33 rear) but mine is a non abs model. Does it matter?
  18. To be honest, lots of the cars I've seen have now gone into the 200+ range. It's just the dash shows 60,xxx kms.
  19. M35Woah had a positive experience with the Alloy Fenix rad I think he got off eBay Fit without mods. Just make sure you bleed the system real good after.
  20. Maybe you should ask a vw forum like watercooled.
  21. I don't run the fluid through the radiator, and haven't for a couple of years. No issues to report, no slurring when cold, any more than when it was stock. The fluid isn't dark or burnt either. I am investigating getting the fittings to get it back through the rad, but only for safety. I don't like the idea of it if the car is stuck in a extended (like a hour) traffic jam. Likelihood is low, and since the car is making airflow anyway, cooking it is improbable. I just want he extra safety.
  22. It will be very interesting how this plays out. I don't understand how lane filtering is safer than sitting stationary in a line of traffic, and that seemed the main argument for it. I've heard about the study too. I don't have a problem with bikes lane filtering when vehicles are stationary at all, but strongly oppose it when any vehicle is moving. After the father in law saw a death in such circumstances, I don't think it's wise. People change lanes very quickly, and without warning in traffic. So be careful guys.
  23. Yup, agree. I too prefer the nismo. For my car it's a bit overkill anyways. I couldn't see anything when I looked down a legalis, where as the nismo defiantly had the step down in it. Just goes to show, if you want outright and performance, go and see a fabricator like Scotty, then you know what your getting in regards to size. The GTR guys found this on their jap systems too!
  24. The nismo duel outlet one does have a restrictor in the back of the rear muffler, so for outright flow, I think the legalis is a better option too. What did Iain have, was it one of those nissan sports exhaust ones?
  25. 6 months is about how long it would go before things start to change. As long as it's in an air tight, stable temp place. Some premiums get shipped in bulk tankers from O/S. I think if the life span was two weeks, this would be a rather pointless exercise. Two stroke stuff, I try not to keep the same mix for more than 3 months.
