  1. lol. Someone gave Goocotty the photos of the "restrictive adaptor". Good to see you taking this path. I dunno about 270kw though...
  2. Bleed the cooling system, meaning get the air out of the system. If it hasn't been done correctly, there will be a heap of air trapped in the system, and it won't cool effectively.
  3. Mine sits on the lower bulb part of the little thermometer. The fans kick in at 98-100 degrees. It's wise to give the system a little bleed now and then if in doubt.
  4. coolant lines near the throttle body always catch you out.
  5. Pull your head in mate. I'm interested in trying to find a solution to your pipe dream. Your talking with Scotty, who if there isn't something he doesn't know about vq turbos, it's not worth knowing, and I myself have done a VQ35 turbo into an awd stagea. The turbo is only a small part of an overall kit, so why not consider using the pipe work and other parts. What turbo are you intending to put on it? Single or twins? Gt30, 35, 42? Re you going to buy an off the shelf item, or modify it yourself? That constricts the location and packaging. Are you building a motor? The stock vq35 has notable flaws when using forced induction. But I'm sure you can engineer your way around that...
  6. Dayum Working, otherwise this would be a rocking good weekend. I'm jelly.
  7. The system knows how many packages you order in a year... It's smart.
  8. Send Scotty a PM I believe he has some, or contacts to some cheap items. Defiantly don't buy from nissan. Importing from the US is the other option, they are cheap there.
  9. They are the electro magnetic cam control plugs. Those units are the ones that actually advance / retard the cams
  10. They are both located in the same respective place on the back of the heads of the engine. Bank one is the drivers side. They have one 10mm bolt holding them in. http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/attachments/f23/33205d1313103000-crankshaft-position-sensor-location-2005frontier-camshaftsensors.jpg
  11. So you want a variable geometry turbo on 3500cc car? Is this a purely design project? Point is, you want to turbo a v35 there are good kits out there that will do the job and no be laggy. If you want to make a design project, then choose a car with better packaging options like an inline motor that can take more than 10psi of boost.
  12. Nope, got it wrong. This ONLY comes into effect when the value of the goods is greater than $1000aud.
  13. Green -walk Flashing red- continue to walk across, but do not enter the intersection Solid red- only step out if you're trying to get compo.

  15. Mat and I spotted two M35 series twos today on warringah road. One a silver Axis S , and the other a blue RS/RX. Both looked pretty good!

  17. Yup, agree, but you do get used to it. Bets thing you can do is actually spray some cleaner down there, with the dip stick in, and clean off the little triangle guide. That way it's a little easier to see, but also your not sweeping shit into the engine when you do put it in.
  18. $2650 ono Its just taking up space... Someone has to need a cheap daily to get around.
  19. I have heard it before. I love that it seems to have boost from any RPM, due to the tricky system. But does it sound like it is surging there for. A second?
  20. It wouldn't hurt, it would just go out your intake.... Drink beer while it drains. Perfect excuse.
  21. I'm far from experienced, but I guess at a certain level it just becomes R&D. Unless you can get some info out of the big builders (RIPS Maatouks etc).
  22. ^^^ Thats what I was thinking, how much thread was in the block? More thread, better spread of pressure. It is possible to run 1/2 inch, as the group A cars did it.
  23. I love it when a 20 year old nissan gets down the main straight at eastern creek overtaking a BMW v10 M5, Or when you round up a "fully worked cuzzy bro" HSV GTS 325 around the corners, and the driver sheepishly waves you past. Then the drive back through the paddock, with the commo drives trying to figure out your car while the clutches in the diff make like the rear end is going to fall out! Lol. And that's why I love the track. The road, I couldn't give a toss about.
  24. Just to let you guys know, the car is now up on carsales.
