  1. Well, I'll cover off the stagea side of things. The M35 stageas started in 2001. From 2001-2003 the eligible models are all turbo. They run a vq25det 206/400nm. The chassis is very similar to the v35/z33, meaning it can be upgraded to handle quite well. Being turbo, power is reasonably easy to extract. There areafewweak points.the stock turbo is fragile, the afms temperamental, and the motors cam actuators wear with age. There is no ecu flash option, so people piggy back them when tuning, which is a bit tricky. A properly sorted m35 will walk a v/zin a straight line. The second series, 2004.5 on have the same motor as the v/z. Vq35de. There was some styling changes, and some changes to the awd system, and interior update. It has a flash able ecu, and doesn't have the issues of the first turbo series motors. The models go RS then RX, then AR-X, the later having the over fenders and stock 18s. Then there are Axis models, which have different interiors, but no mechanical changes. The v35 is more of a GT car, while the Z is more of a sportscar. Drive them all, and see what you like
  2. No, sorry, -5s will make it on e85 easy if everything is sorted. Heaps of examples of it in the 400kw thread. The gtx3076, I don't think will flow 400kw except when the setup is tip top and turbo is all in. I dunno why you'd go that route over the 6262 which seems to be more popular these days. Not many people run gt30 singles on 26s.
  3. 225 or 295? Size might help you out. I know some 295s came up not that long ago for a reasonable price in the for sale thread.
  4. Love it, but what's the chances you'll loose it before having to change rear pads again!
  5. If your chasing 400, get ready for disappointment...
  6. Spotted a silver m35 RS/rx near warringah rd, brookvale, can remember the exact location, and then saw a blue M35 heading down to warringah mall that was for sale.
  7. These cars are equipped with NATS, nissan anti theft system. Second is the wing mirror tilt activation when reverse is selected. Yes, it can be translated, but NFI who is doing it in NZ.
  8. Who wants a cheap upgrade to their R32...? Someone is asking like $1200 for a kit for the R33 (!) $200 no pads.
  9. Why dont you have a chat to the owner of the car? I don't know him, but after seeing the car on the strip, I think he is friendly with maatouks. Contact them see if they can point you the right direction.
  10. Make your own thread pls.
  11. Wasn't there a bunch that did adapted awd powerglides? Thought I remember an advert somewhere. That's all I know.
  12. Oh man, that seriously sucks the nut bag. It's about as evocative as turning on my blender.
  13. Well, you could try a heap of different afms on the dyno. There are certainly more reliable items out there, but that depends on how the voltage curves compare. Log it on the dyno to see if it's comparable and provides safe results. First would be a 350z/v35 item I should think. But seeing the ecu needs some sort of input to calculate load and fueling, I wouldn't just replace it with a resistor.
  14. Well for a start he is talking about a flapper door afm in the link, not a hot wire afm. I dunno if it could be applied to hot wire in the same way. Has the wrx guy done this? I don't think its a good idea, and neither do I see how a resistor would solve the problem of failing afms. But if you want to risk the consequences of getting it wrong, I'd be interested to see the results.
  15. Nismo found it useful enough to make a brace for the s13 For me it made my understeer all but disappear in low speed corners. But this is a track car, so, I try a little harder than driving on the road...
  16. Yeah, forget it. Not going to buy project Mu stuff ever again, unless it's some serious racing pads.
  17. Real question is..... Will it make it out of Mexico without a defect or being shot? We all know Vic hwp is a bit gun happy...
  18. I was like yes, yes, yes, hmmmm ok...... NO! Stickers.... At least they are removable.
  19. Well, there has been a lot of M35 talk on anchor points... Mine has a baby seat, and I got family issues Are you positively annoyed friend??
  20. It's almost like youre driving a....... Family wagon...? We should scold the nissan engineers for not giving it a low sports type seating position?
