  1. Yup, turn car off remove key, open the fuse box in the drivers side footwell, and stick your hand down there as far as you can. See if you can feel water, or moisture. That will mess up your electrics real quick. I make a habit of clearing the crud from the plenum area, right down to where the drains are in the bottom of the guards. Mud and crud build up over time.
  2. Done a compression and leak down test? That will probably tell you your answer. Holed piston/ oil control rings Get another neo and slap it in.
  3. Nice time. Looking forward to the next one. What kind of cars out there? Anything decent?
  4. Drivers side, foot well, there is a little opening on the upper side of the plastic cowl. Open that, and there is the obd port.
  5. I wouldn't buy a product that requires modification of the calliper material. Dust covers, sure, not integral components, but I wouldn't be taking metal from the caliper itself.
  6. Actually, there is far less to play with as a detailer. The tool measures the whole thickness, where a detailer is essentially working with just the clear coat layer to produce results. The clear coat layer is thin compared to the paint thickness. I too went over the stagea with a thickness gauge, finding a clean straight car The roof and bonnet were however notably thinner than the other body panels.
  7. As long as its all plumbed in (no chance of water getting into the intake/exhaust) it will be fine. If concerned, turn it over by hand first, before you strike the starter.
  8. It's a bit like Dans test with RBR. I think it is standard to fuel and set the car up to a point where it will never be competitive with the "race drivers" time. It would be pretty poor form to stick someone in and blast away a time to piss off your contracted driver. The team can garner all the results it wants with a slower car. The media, however, seem to love mentioning the times.
  9. Yep, Eugene does/did some work for the dealership that I bought my stagea from. Needless to say it was very well presented when I bought it, and has made subsequent detailing of the car easier. +1 for Eugene.
  10. The oil will be fine as long as it still looks like oil- no water contamination, it's not black tar, etc. It is better to change it hot so you get more of it out. So warm it once, then change it and the oil filter. Other than that, exactly what was said. Have a good condition battery, Disable fuel, and turn the motor over to build oil pressure before starting.
  11. So in conclusion.... Headlights are not interchangeable
  12. Yes it is Also a bit of room to tune them too.
  13. Pain In The Ass....
  14. Have you checked that the earths are in good condition? Battery-wire-body? Good luck - sounds a right PITA.
  15. have a search, I think there are a few topics with brands. This will give you a bit of an idea on the options... http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35/index.php?cPath=427_436
  16. The cats are more restrictive than the stock headers, and will provide better money/ performance results. Headers are a lot of work for very little gain. High flow cats can be installed in a couple of hours max.
  17. RS6 V10 twin turbo.
  18. Do want. Could have plastic wheels for all I'd care.
  19. It will be interesting that's for sure. Do yourself a favour, adjust the camber out the rear, set the shocks soft all round and get some sticky tyres. That will give you the best odds. But, there is a long road to go down before you line up.
  20. Any srs car detailing website. Wax it is forum sponsor last time I checked. Look under carpro products.

  22. It's a casting mark I think. I have the same rectangle.Looking at it now, might have been for seat heaters, or something like that? Yup, that's my guess. Check this car out. http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/NISSAN/STAGEA/700056061720130728002/index.html
  23. I'm behind the pnm35. I think marks car has the ability to beat it, but it will depend on how he runs it.
  24. This is a copy paste from nsw fair trading. I don't know if qld is different. The Motor Dealers Act provides a statutory warranty of 3 months or 5,000 km from the date of sale (whichever occurs first) on second-hand vehicles, which includes demonstrator vehicles, that have travelled less than 160,000 km and are less than 10 years old (from the date the vehicle was built).
