  1. Spoken like a true car salesman, Sean. You can have them. Ill never own one.
  2. Best first post Eva. I bet Mercedes Benz are quaking in their boots...
  3. Oh yeah, there are some dodgy characters in japan, as I eluded too, but the large majority of dodgy ness goes on onshore here no doubt.
  4. Interesting idea, and I agree with you about Japanese culture. However I believe there are a lot of people of a certain ethnic group that is not Japanese that are a big part of the car business. I've seen details of it in the past, however can't remember where I saw it.
  5. Face palm. You need to get them to flush it. It is their f**k up.
  6. Who installed it? Have they done a few in the past, and as Scott said, what fluid was used?
  7. The ecu adjusts the line pressure in the box according to the load that the ecu determines to be on the engine. More load = more pressure = quicker changes. So regarding number 1, my bet is that you lifted off the throttle at 5k rpm, and expected it to change, which it won't. Another thing is that the pressure in the GB doesn't go away instantly. So if using manual, you lift off the throttle and change up, your likely to get a clonk. All other things I think Scotty covered well.
  8. Will the brakes be able to hold the Cow on 20psi stall!!??
  9. Make it put power down, go round corners, and stop. That should keep you busy ( and broke!) for a while!
  10. And leave the back seat in it ffs. You might need to have a root there eventually.
  11. Buddy. I'm sure you can find a million threads like this, and they all reach the same 2 points. Us who have been round a little while say to leave that car the fk alone. It's a money pit. You are far better off leavening it stock as, selling it and buying a turbo model when off your p plates. The other bunch are head strong, but shit loads of parts, become financially stressed, but still have a NA pos at the end of the day. So unless your going to tell me that your building an awesome NA Racecar, with high comp motor, ITB etc, just leave the thing alone, wait it out, and buy a turbo when you're off the plates.
  12. No mention of the ADM selling in the spring Shannon's auction? 50k http://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/lot/RR9ZSB0AK3FD3B/
  13. Well, when their stoopid enough to post Japanese agent shot videos with the original mileage visible, the car in their possession and the car arrives with 90k kms less, then it shouldn't be too hard. However is that good enough for the law? I dunno.
  14. Cause mazda already did that with the 6 diesel. 2.2 litre 130kw 420nw 5.4l per 100 And Hyundai owners are povos, that wouldn't pony up for a mazda.
  15. Don't take it as gospel, but I think 3rd is weaker than 4th in the SR boxes, due to the bearing locations? So it's not the best option, but hey, they going to break sometime!
  16. Jez posted up on FB an update on his gtr yesterday. Stock motor, so studs and HG stock, and he lifted the head at 435 or so rwkw. Oh, that's with a 6262 I couldn't imagine a 485kw S14....! That is just silly
  17. Mishimoto is $360 for the r33 rad. I assume that's what c34s take? Shipping would be killer but
  18. Then leave it alone. Your not going to get away cheap if you want to build an engine...
  19. Buy one from japan. Autech made a High comp RB26DE in a four door r32 special. Rocky Auto loves em, has heaps.
  20. There are quite a few mishimoto ones running around. I have one in the m35. Prob come out the same Chinese factory as others, but I was impressed with the quality, only issei I had was one pin was 1/2 inch off, and required some mods.
  21. Gibson Motorsport painted the insides of their group A/C motors for similar benefits.... I guess that tells you something.
  22. Yeah, I know the one. It's easy to use. My car has it functioning. I only use it on my private property, on which I can do whatever the fk I want to. What Scotty says is technically correct. Search and you'll find the instructions. It's a piece of piss to turn off too, as long as the hard wiring hasn't been ripped out it will work.
  23. Look, I'm aware op isn't going to read this cause it's ages ago, but in the Hope someone else does and becomes informed I'm going to post anyway. The warranties offered by used car dealers are basically third party agreements that they are selling. It's a separate company that has offered the dealership commissions to them for used car warranties. Thus, it's not a reflection on the dealer as such, but on the buyer not doing their homework on what's covered and what isn't. I'm not going to stand up for dodgy dealers at all, but you have to get all the info. I know when I bought mine I was offered warranty cover, but read the fine print to see that it only covered the first 2k towards driveline damage. So it wasn't worth the extra that the dealer wanted for the warranty. I've not regretted it, there is nothing I could have claimed. So, read the fine print before investing you lazy bunch!
  24. throw up a pic of the remote pls
