  1. Yeah, broken exhaust studs is a RB trait. Its pretty well documented. Save yourself the hassle/heartache and do what Dale said - get a thread guy.
  2. yup, don't want to be in your shoes- Sorry to say It'll be exhaust manifold off - which you will break the studs, and have to replace them all, then it'll be fairly easy to knock it out and replace it. Unless the RB experts here have a better way of doing it?
  3. Is it a welsh plug? Google it if your unsure for images. If that's the case, you'll be replacing it.
  4. Check this out T4-T5.... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=608912649148209
  5. Some level of oil is quite normal in the pipes. The engine re-circulates crankcase gases to improve emissions. This leaves some residual oil mist within the piping. Excess oil, puddles - 1/4 litre or so in intercoolers, would indicate a loose engine, that may be suffering blow by. It could also be oil from the turbochargers oil seals, on the past old turbo. How has the turbo been playing up?
  6. Sounds more like a coolant leak from something, and probably a neglected cooling system. Pin point the exact place the water is coming out, a leak does not mean the turbo is gone, but it probably means you'll be taking it out to replace gaskets or lines. As for the difficulty it's hard to say without knowing what your capable of, and your tool selection. Plenty of people DIY.
  7. like like like like! Whats the plans for the car, track drift, or just street?
  8. Unfortunately the hot laps didn't go ahead. The car was having some issues and didn't get to the track until Friday. There aren't any more passenger sessions throughout the weekend. That being said, I saw a vid of him taking turn 5 completely sideways under full power. Not sure I wanted to be in there....! Was great to catch up with some SAU peeps yesterday, I hope you all thoroughly enjoyed the day.
  9. I remember you had a black V35 sedan, I think, right? Welcome back, and welcome to the stagea section.
  10. Thread requires more pictures, please.
  11. Brah, do you even Parle-vous français?
  12. Nice, workshop and details? Pity the run rate is different on the runs. The curves aren't really comparable. How does it drive?
  13. Okinawa is Great. I was there for a couple of months for work once. If on holiday, the northern parts of the island is much prettier, and far more holiday friendly than the Naha end. Go and see the aquarium, it's amazing.
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloke_(word)
  15. Hi Mate, You're not the first from Oki, some other blokes have checked in to. I take it your Military? Lots good info here, I open you enjoy your stay.
  16. The door one can be solved by unscrewing the little rubber bung on the body of the car in the door jam a few screws. A warning however, it will mean that the car doesn't see the door as opening, and can re-lock itself with anything you left inside.... like the keys.... The reverse, i dunno or really care that much.
  17. Holy sheet! Is it made of gold?
  18. Thanks to you Execs for an awesome comp, and many, many thanks to Todd and JLM I will try to be brave for SAU NSW and not scream like a little bish.
  19. Because there is more to the speed rating of a tyre than the actual top speed that the car will go. Its more about tyre construction, and torque handing characteristics of the tyre. Not to mention voiding your insurance...
  20. I hope Ricciardo isn't as innocent and oblivious to what's going to happen as I think he is...
  21. Problem was front straight was accessed by a slow exit from the chicane. Now, Webz had a low downforce wing that was suppose to give great straight line, however it also hampered him getting out onto the main straight where the Lotus had better mechanical, and aero based grip. So in the end he just couldn't make up the deficit with DRS and the low downforce wing. It was excruciating to watch for those two laps - I was willing him to pass that Lotus, but it just got out of the corner that much better. That's how I saw it anyway.
  22. Mat loves Bloke on bloke on bloke....At least, that's how I ready it.hahahahahah 255 for SMSP? Nah, don't bother. Just put some more wax on your roof. It will slide further.
  23. You just buy them, no exchange needed. Guess they go round stealing them off old wrecks and old Oem stock! Can't work out why one side of the bar is braced extra, but guess they know.
  24. Nismo power brace, to suit my 180sx. Nismo take the old stock units, box the sections and add a bar between the arms.idea is to stiffen the front up to prevent flex and make the susp work harder. Finish isn't crash hot, but since it's a under car bit, I'm not fussy. In fact I'm not fussy anyway lol! Basically acts as a strut brace for the lower suspension.
  25. Oompa Lumpa Doopity Doo...
