  1. Pics! Just don't get in a car with her.... I hear she likes roof slides.
  2. And change Max to that tidy Russian bird
  3. Think you need to go back and read what I wrote. Never talked about fuel and timing. Simply stated that the afm cut was a little over 5v, not talking about ign or fuel... Dont get your y fronts in a twist over something I never wrote Better get back to those toyotas hey bud...
  4. Yep, looks like fuel. You may have fouled the plugs. Pull a couple out, and inspect. That little hiss might be the PCV. You'll have to check all lines for splits as well, maybe the boost gauge or controller lines. Might have blown a intake gasket. Just ideas.
  5. "its easy on my C34"? I did help... the AFM cut is above 5v. Seen it at 5.08-5.12v. Dont be jelly your China spec Consult can't handle the logging
  6. Not from the cars I've logged. And it would be at least 1/2 a dozen running stock ecus.
  7. The afm cut is around 5.12v, so your not hitting the flow cut.
  8. Yeah, it is hard to tell. Black is generally fuel smoke, so you need to look for leaks in I/C piping, hoses off the plenum, or any seals in the intake system. Spray joins with brake cleaner and see if the idle note changes. Pull a couple of plugs and inspect to see if excess fuel has been pumping through.
  9. Those numbers sound in the ball park from those I've tested. What colour is the smoke, white, black or grey?
  10. Why are you set on the HKS? The Genuine Hks harnesses I've seen go for $700 or something from memory... But then, finding one could take years...
  11. I thought I remembered there was someone else, and actually wrote that in my first post! Then it deleted itself and I started Again lol!
  12. With local knowledge, and local support. I reckon it'll be a winnah. But the test mule customer is bloody picky...
  13. Yes, Scotty has one, as does wagonboy theo. Problem is you need to find a harness made out of unobtainum, then find a hks tuner which will charge a mint, or find someone with the other ahem, skills to tune them. Might pay to research a adaptronic...
  14. Maybe they are charging for the labour to take the exhaust manifold off....! Sensors can be bought for 100 something bucks. I know, I melted one.... And if it's similar position to the vq35 you won't need to remove the manifolds.
  15. I swore I'd never buy a beige interior ever again. That will include oompa lumpa skin orange leather. Yeah, I know yours is part suede, but didn't get it across. There is also an axis with the over fenders, while yours doesn't have them. Options just seem to be potluck in these cars.
  16. What has been said about the AWD is correct. It uses an electromagnet to actuate the transfer case, rather than high pressure fluid of the previous models. Means the pumps don't fk out, and you can pull a fuse to turn it rwd. Interiors vary, there are one beige which is horrible, the Axis had some tan/almost orange kind of leather, the other Axis a two tone black grey leather, and then there is black cloth.
  17. There is an interesting article on the 370z brakes... Good move getting the uprated pads http://www.caranddriver.com/features/z-meets-wall-we-investigate-why-the-nismo-zs-brakes-failed-at-lightning-lap
  18. Mine looks similar, just a bit more low with the nismo springs, and the SSr wheels. The main changes were all under the bonnet.
  19. What's the bet he buys a poopcharger? OP In seriousness. You won't get all that much performance out of the vq35de with bolt on stuff. You'll make it noisy, and it might feel faster, but it's not going to be a rocket. That being said, the order to do things is some form of plenum mod, be it a spacer, or plenum top, then exhaust and high flow cats. Leave the airbox the fk alone. Headers are ok, but expensive in cost and labour for the benefit. That's where to leave it unless you really want to plow some money into it.
  20. Put a LS6 in it. There is a kit from the US for 350zs that would probably convert over.
  21. I think your better off working with the HPX. They aren't a squeaky pad. I run them in the daily, and they don't make a peep. Take them out, clean up all surfaces and give them a rub. Clean shims, and calipers. Then give the bedding in procedure another go.
  22. Should have asked GSL for some 370z pads. Bet they'd have a decent range.
  23. Dusty, crusty same same
  24. He be Mirin
