  1. Ok, first thing is the second list is the realistic near 200kw mark. You won't get close with the stock dump pipe, it's tiny and restrictive. Also, stock turbo would be lucky to hold up to 200 day in, day out. Theo's is the only one I know that has survived any length of time boosted up. However a rebuilt like Dales would see your goals with minimal extra lag. RB vs VQ. VQ will hold p to everything an more than a RB IMO. And without the oil issues. Gearbox with transgo kit and cooler is suppose to be good for 500 Yankee hp. Realistically, it's not, but will be fine with the transgo for your 200kw needs. Brake mod just means you get throttle on earlier after using the brake. It's beneficial. No, I haven't heard of awd controllers, but that doesn't mean you can't adapt one Lots have made it to the track, they are obviously limited, but can still be fun Side airbag only in models with the safety option pack.
  2. Forget the displayed Kms on the dash. 99% have had a haircut either by the dealer or the jap seller. It's easy, and not detectable. Go off the condition of the car, wear on steering wheels, carpet, seats, shifter. Underbody rust etc. imports require much more savvy buying compared to normal cars. The chains can and do crap out, requiring a expensive fix if servicing isn't kept up to date. DD motors themselves have their own issues. Have a search. Good luck.
  3. Would be easier to electronically control the fuel safely compared to the wheels. Like something that won't engage gear when the dry break is open. Shit, even though they are some of the most trained guys round, they still can't release cars safely.
  4. What's worse? The pressure on teams to do quick pit stops, and the danger of tyres falling off, which has happened quite a bit lately Or The dangers associated with refuelling? Bring back refuelling, ease pressure on wheel men?
  5. Hahahahahaa.... Go home marussia, you are drunk.
  6. Crazy accident. Did the lollipop go up? The corner men knew it was not on. Hope he's ok, but think he should be right and bounce back....
  7. Saw a white m35 rounds chatswood about 6 pm tonight, and a black c34 filling up at shell at the syd end of the F3 about 11pm tonight.
  8. Just tiny things like the way he removed the sump plug. Something I as a home mechanic wouldn't have though of, like drawing the plug away really quickly as to not get covered in oil. Seeing him give it a little tap once he had re tensioned it after draining. Like a mental check. Again, the way he bled the brakes specifying hard or soft stokes. I like the fact you used Nissan filters.
  9. I don't want to be impressed. I just want something more interesting than "my car runs awesome on...". I'm not doubting your tuner, if you say he is knowledgable, I have not reason to question it. However, ngk themselves say that you effectively throw out the reference table when it comes to modified engines. I know you have 100k km service intervals for platinum plugs on stock engines, so obviously the longevity is there in tested conditions. However, my thoughs is that when your running something a fair bit more strenuous than stock, the comparatively thin precious metal coating may well disintegrate quickly compared to a thicker copper item. Especially so if your heat range isn't quite right. Then there is the price difference.... $4 to $20-30ea....
  10. And by that I mean technical data, not "my car runs awesome on.....xxxx"
  11. Well, explain Scotty, cause there is obviously misinformation.......? Any actual analysis?
  12. I was under the impression that platinum plugs didn't fair too well with tuner vehicles and tend to not last as long as the equivalent copper. No direct experience, only reading. I have both in two different cars.
  13. 'twas the first time I have seen a car serviced with "flair"! Some of Mtzus little touches made me smile. Was good getting a better idea of the interactive parties involved in the importing process, and some of the more commonly made mistakes.
  14. Another successful night. Thank you to the Execs, and JLM for their hospitality. A frank and open discussion on the ins and outs of the industry, interactions with government, and law enforcement was interesting. Lots of interesting parts, motors, and cars to cast the eye over, as per usual. Enjoyed "fish sticks" as geeteetee put it, served on the bonnet of a WTAC contender. Certainly novel.
  15. Watch out for that honky, he be burnin! See you tonight. Think I'll drive my lil shitbox, considering the parking situation.
  16. Sedan.... Coupe.....? Cond, pics?
  17. Bawhahahahahahah! Protip #4; AWD system is useful for getting to the hardest places to reach.
  18. Contact one of the Vic members. I'm sure they would mind you trying to slot a wheel on a GTR to test it out. I know the sumitomos don't work with AXIS wheels, and I don't think that Brembos will either, but give it a go.
  19. Sell it and buy something more powerful..... Lol
  20. I wouldn't fit it because of the damage it may suffer behind the road trains. I wold add a set of ancillary belts to your list, just in case, and all your basic tools. Maybe an AFM !
  21. Only if you want to be awesome like Craig and I.... Btw, 20s will be butthurt for track tyres.
  22. They are flat when you get them, and fold into the metal mesh. That is the 3 layer dry filter. Check the diameter of yours, they offer a couple of sizes.
  23. What's with the suits in the ch10 guys? Always thought they were polo shirt wearers, did something change?
