No. The part throttle operation of the box is identical. It still shifts smooth. On full throttle it shifts faster without the slurrrr. The only harshness I've had is when the box kicks down itself to 3rd. Does it with quite a clonk. Benefits over weigh negatives massively. Go for a ride in one. You'll see.
