Ah, Forum auto correct - keeping things clean Yeah, it felt the best on the head. The saleswoman said she was getting really good feedback from people about them too. The Arai ones I tried felt like they were pressing into the top of my head! Not comfortable at all. Now to get my pose on at the track

Well, bit of an update. I forgot the other day to show you what I picked up! As part of my work we get a "health lifestyle" reimbursement. I shot an email off, and after receiving confirmation it was NEW HELMET TIME!!! Daleo recommended a trip out to MCA at Auburn. A very helpful lady out there steered me through the process, and I settled on the Bell RS-1. What I love about it is its really well ventilated for sweaty dream boats like me, and although it is full face, it has heaps of room round the mouth so that it doesn't feel as closed in. I also got some Alpinestars Gloves, which while they are pricey, are super comfortable and nice to be in. Yesterday I took a trip down to Wollongong, to pick up this little kit. I'm not going to have it fitted in time for the track, but will give me something to do after if it doesn't break something else. So its a brand new GKTech adaptor place- I got warned off the sammich style because they break off the thread regularly on SR20s. Not only that, but the way they have to sit means the lines are really crimped up, so this unit is stacks betterer. Along with a oil filter re-locator, and a 19 row core. The only thing is I also have this brand new ARC core. I think I will use the one in the kit I bought, because the ARC one is just so pretty. I'd hate to bash it up..... maybe it'll go on later. I also had the adjustable rear toe arms put in, cause I don't have a rattle gun, I couldn't for the life of me undo the bolts! So I just gave it to a place that was going to do the alignment. So the alignment specs are: Front: -2mm toe in -2.2 degrees camber (max I could get front the strut tops) 6.5 degrees castor (as much as he said it could get) Rear: -2 degrees camber -2 toe in So we'll see how it goes Tuesday at Wakefield!

Have to have some ca$h to build one to last one hours worth of racing! Interesting series, but some of their power figures are out. 350z for example.

Sydney Stagea Cruise... M35 And C34

I've driven bells line quite a bit going out west, but I don't understand why people enjoy driving it. Old PAC, putty road, or nasho are far better. -
Qfm A1Rm Brake Pads, Are These Correct?
PN-Mad replied to jackbh241's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I'll be testing out the a1rms on the 180 on Tuesday. I've got a full set of them in, they need a good bedding in which I might do on the way down to Wakefield. Should work well on a lighter car. I did have pad fade from the hpx on the track in the stagea or whatever be got in the back. To be expected after I purposely put some hard stops into them. -

Qfm A1Rm Brake Pads, Are These Correct?
PN-Mad replied to jackbh241's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
They will go through your rotors quicker, and will be less effective because you won't get them hot enough to be in their optimum working range. If you are getting pad fade with HPX then you need to take it to the track. Remsa are also ok I've heard, and gsl are moving to them. -
Qfm A1Rm Brake Pads, Are These Correct?

Are you tracking the car? A1rm are a light track pad. For street go for their HPX pad, and just ask for 350z NON brembo pads. Job done. Gsl rally sport are good. -
My god, what's the economy in that thing towing? Tell him to budget for a turbo replacement.

My 300Gt Is Going Crazy....
PN-Mad replied to NISMO-61's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
research and check the earthing points / battery terminals. Wasn't a car doing this on the fwy recently and turned out to be a loose terminal? If you haven't cleaned out your plenum, the I suggest researching that too- I think that will be the cause of your stall. The throttle closes fully under decelleration, and then cracks back open at the lower rpms to maintain idle. If stuck up with the sticky shite that is so prevelent in DD motors, it won't open again properly and the motor will stall. You will need to perform throttle re-learning as part of that process. -
Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...

I'm pretty sure the pump is the same, except a (piss small) cooler was added in one of the lines. It sits right at the front in front of the A/C condensor. Your not running a P/S cooler? If not, get a small PWR cooler, and plumb it in the return line. I think several guys should be able to let you know their set ups. I think a seal in the pump unit is the first to go. -

Hey matey, Plenty of good info on this site. What I suggest is using the search function, or flicking few a couple of pages. There have been quite a few new owners with the same question lately, and the info is in those threads. Plenty of good examples within the country, and there are some dogs too. Don't know if I'd take the risk importing when there are lots already around. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Saw pics of a hwp car on bookface. What's the story there? Seriously, couldn't you convince them to get on and do a skid???
-
Sure, thats why I went and bought a 180 for the track. You don't have a transgo shift kit yet do you? Must say even with the trango in both transmissions, they still improved a lot in the S2 cars. With the right mods, and certainly not huge amounts of cash, you can have a pretty capable car. You went for a spin in Jetwrecks car, so that gives you a fair idea.
-
that hasn't moved since he got it to his house....

You would be surprised- many M35 owners have competed in club motorsport event with great success. They are actually pretty handy on the track. Scotty, Jetwreck, Myself, Wagon_boy, Andys old car, off the top of my head have all seen track time. Stageas post some of the fastest times in SAU NSW texi events. Full blown race car, no, but with the right mods you'll be rounding up people in what would appear to be "racier" cars.

That would be Raysboostin. Picked up some stuff this morning from my place, and is heading back to Brisbane.
