  1. well when shopping for insurance, doesn't the question just ask you "in the past 3 years...." If so, you can answer "no", and not have a issue!
  2. Whats the go with the front bar not matching up? Is the AXIS special compared to a RS / Aero Front Bar? Ahhhh.... silver bonnet thingo. I googled. Going to paint the silver thingo, or just going to roll with the R35 front?
  3. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/56-for-sale-private-whole-cars-only/
  4. Uprev is not compatible with VQ25DD/VQ30DD. Performance chips- waste of time/money. That leaves you with piggybacks or standalones. You are better off looking at basic intake/exhaust mods first.
  5. To me it's a gimmick. I bought a $50 laptop just to tune. It's only got tuning software on it. Here's a question, if you get the tune by east coast customs, do you actually walk out with a uprev cable? Or just the car tuned?
  6. Some uprev supported ecus have flex fuel option. Unfortunately nothing in Australia. Would be epic to flick a switch in uprev and enable flex fuel. Really flashing takes < 60 secs with a lappy. Not hard.
  7. Personally, I don't get why everyone is so caught up in the map switching. Someone care to explain it? Sure I understand the benefits of a valet, or even anti theft map. But really, one map is all thats needed. Economy? well, thats going to be a completly different area of mapping to power, so you can have both! The tuner is only going to change areas of the map you ask him to. If you ask for the bottom end to remain stock, then it will be. Its like having +11ty boost levels. Why bother, drive with your right foot!
  8. Think? He's making me squint!
  9. Fantastic to hear this mate! Rest up, relax, enjoy the company of your loved ones. Hope to see you at an event sometime in the near future.
  10. Does look refreshingly different to most of the stuff out there today. Like the roofline/rear guards. Will look ugly when the put out a normal photo I guess.
  11. Hoping for updates sometime soon.
  12. I'll be there! Will be great to see the GTR wind up down the main straight.
  13. You can pm him, I think it's Scotty nm35 username. He knows more about m35s than any shop in Melbourne. Will be sorted out quick smart.
  14. The engine light means that the ecu has logged the error/ diagnostic code. it is as simple as getting that code read, and replacing the offending article. Scotty should be able to read the code for you, he'll see this soon. He's in melb. It will be either AFM, or one of the crank or cam angle sensors. The code will tell you which one. Having the car on a dyno is ridiculous, so I suggest never setting foot in that shop again.
  15. Will do mate. Catch you on SAU in a few days
  16. One would think so Luke! Maybe they were just hopeful that the car was left in the trailer, but then, what do you do with such a car that everyone knows and all the parts are bespoke? Hopefully CCTV shows number plates.
  17. Yes it will. Best thing you can do it go through the bedding in process each time you change pads. Other than that, buy 2 sets of rotors, which for the occasional track day, is a bit overkill. I think Remsas are rated up around 600 degrees or something, so you are pretty hard on the brakes. Maybe look into upgrades for the future. If your running the stock GTS-t equipment, consider the budget upgrade to 324mm discs (brembo GTR) with the GKTech caliper spacers. Also check you haven't melted your rubber piston covers in the calipers.
  18. Toss them out mate, and get a new set on there. They will be heated all the way through. The creak will most likely be the pad grating on the rotor, because it has no give left in it, and it just wants to judder. Can I suggest getting a nice street pad like a QFM HPX, and then when going to track days switch to a more track orientated pad. That will keep the pedal happy
  19. Does the pedal go to the floor,OR does the pedal feel almost normal, and lack stopping power? I think it's he second one, and you have overheated the pads. It's can make the material all brittle, and crumble. Take your pads out, and have a look at them. You'll need higher temp pads for the track in the future.
  20. For teh lolz. And too see if anyone was stupid enough to put it in a manual box.
  21. Sau nsw. See the little blue banner under people's names? Check the sticky thread in nsw section for FAQs.
