  1. Why don't you get it properly serviced before making any decisions. Have your checked the transmission fluid?
  2. I wish I got commission....
  3. Depends what you want to do with it.... for 99% of the people on here, its the right choice. Its only if your running greater than 400kw you might start to have issues. But Fools are easily parted with their money. $2400+ for a Haltech to do a NA tune.....
  4. Want me to list the uprev pro tuners in Japan....?
  5. And your tuner has O2 stoich feedback running on hks? Since you have no fuel target table.....
  6. They got their hands on a USDM LHD z33 somehow, they should have been able to uprev it.....
  7. Ultimate tuning place. Had a 350z. Did a twin throttle/Afm conversion. Ran a stock computer. Dropped bigger injectors in there to account for halving the Afm volts. I'd use uprev over hks. The software is nicer.
  8. I lol'd at "ultimate" what a farked up way to try to tune a car. Spend tens of thousand of dorrahs on motor and titanium bits, but can't spend $700 on uprev to tune it....
  9. Never seen a Evo in that blue before. Its been re-sprayed right?
  10. Downforce is for pussehs. Stock for a 13.2 eh? That's pretty impressive.
  11. No one comes here for the tuna.
  12. Ban??? Come at me bro! Hahaha, be patient. Pics will come. Bit busy with lots of stuff atm. The next stuff is firstly getting a matching set of tyres, and that will help with getting the cars handling sorted. It has quite a few parts, but I need to get them working together to start to handle like a track car should. Not just stiff, but responsive and grippy. Aim for the car is a regular track car with times under 1:10 at Wakefield when the driver does his thing. I'm committed to get someone else's car done before I charge into this.
  13. Well, I've been wanting something to have a bit of a crack at some motorsport in for a little while. Even though I had a ball in the stagea at the CAMS come and try day, it was clear to me that tracking this car regularly wasn't going to be possible. I was after something cheap, with plentiful parts, at I could tinker and work on in my spare time. Best of all, it meant if I broke it, I wouldn't be driving the Mrs around because we were down a car. So I started the hunt. I intially thought I wanted a HCR32, that suited the bill. I looked through lots of adverts and still didn't find something that was in my price range, with the condition and mods I wanted. It was then when a long time member of SAU NSW made a passing comment in a chat thread about selling a car. I was interested. The car was proven in motorsport events, had a lot of work done to it, and was at the top end of my price range. I went and drove it. It went like stink. Scared the shit out of me. There were a couple of little things I got the owner to fix up, but after agreeing to that, I put a deposit down. The deal was done. I drove it back home and garaged it. I have been working on it since, fixing up little niggles here and there. I've decided to keep going with this build thread, because I don't want to create a new one to suit this car. It will be more about my journey than a particular car. So heres the teaser.
  14. thats what the dipstick is for. You do know how to check that, right?
  15. A little less than you got out. Maybe then check the dipstick and top up as required to the full point.
  16. Well, if anyone remembers when the Labour RTA minister hit the headlines, the Email address would be suitable as well.
  17. Nice work Chef! Now while its still over there, get them to drive it to Takeros and get them to put the entire M35 range in the boot You'll love it. Heaps of parts from Japan and USA for the driveline.
  18. Look I'm going to copy and paste, cause the same Convo is going on with 350z people. Bit sick of people not bothering to get off their ass and asking the same question over and over! Sorry but there is a lot of misinformation here. I have lost count of the number of times that I have said the same thing here and on the v series section on sau. You can buy uprevs tuner software for $700 usd. If you have a laptop, download the software for free. If you don't, get the tuner to download it. Any tuner is able to tune uprev. The program is very easy, and similar to almost every other kind of software. Any decent tuner will NOT have a problem using the software. Put it this way, I have no training in tuning, I read the instructions which are comprehensive, and after I dropped 600cc injectors in my car, tuned it so I could drive to the tuners. It's that easy! If you ecu isn't supported, provided its the correct ecu type, you can dump the rom, send it to them. They'll send you back 4 different files, tuneable ones, and also a back to stock. I have done this twice now with them, dumping m35 stagea, and also r51 pathfinder ecus. There is no mapping out or anything to be done. You just dump the rom and send it to them, if it's not on the supported list. Now onto "accredited" tuners. Uprev pro tuners are only tuners that have paid uprev for the privilege. They get a tiny bit more flexibility in how they see logging, and I suspect they get some maps for various cars to work off. There is nothing magical about them. Finally, if your tuning a stock car for bolt on mods, NOT bigger injectors, you should not be paying more than $300/400 for the tune. Really it's a piece of piss. Enough practice, I could do it. So chose your tuner for their tuning ability, not because they have or haven't used uprev. Sorry for the rant, but people think tuning is some magical dark art. It's not. At the basic bolt on stage is fuel, air, spark.
  19. SOLD PM sent. I think the price was fair for both parties. As I said, its what I paid for it. I don't want to make money off people, just get money back. Rather sell fast and fair than post stupid prices Hope your C34 enjoys it.
  20. True that. With the R31, on the passengers side inner guard I think. With a random wire coming out of it...
  21. Hi Guys, Up for sale is a HKS cast iron twin scroll manifold, in T4 and drilled/tapped in T3. Its a proper twin scroll, that separates both the turbine, and wastegate gasses. Also included is an old school style HKS 38mm wastegate (unknown spring) and I'll toss in a genuine Air Research (Garrett) T04B turbo in 0.63. Basically everything you see in the pictures. I originally bought this with the intention of building up a track car. I ended up getting a SR20, so this is surplus. I have not mounted it, or used it. Turbo appears to be in usable condition, and spins freely, however its really old tech (made in the UK!) and you should put something newer on if your going to do it properly. Put the turbo on your coffee table or whatever. Note - the manifold has cracked in the usual place that these crack - the divider in between the two chambers. This should not effect performance at all, and is not an external crack. See the photo. Its common place with these manifolds. LOCATION: Sydney - Northern area PRICE: $500.00 FIRM. Its what I paid, and its what I want back. Search and see what other people have asked- you'll see this is very reasonable. Willing to post at buyers expense but it will be heavy you have to understand. Preferable contact is via PM because I do shiftwork, but mobile is 0431 zero 90 240 Pics: Thanks for looking.
